Thank you for the info, im from oklahoma and I have actually found this to be true with my lavender orpingtons and my two rhode island reds. They have become very comfortable around me.
Love the information. Almost what I used to do with new dogs brought to my home. I would put them with my fully trained dog and ask him to teach them hand and verbal commands. It is nice to know the same can be applied to chickens and probably other animals. Merry Christmas and have a blessed, prosperous, and Happy New Year.
Great video. Exactly what I was looking for, so thank you. I now know that I'm on the right track. Appreciate the time you took to put this together and share your experiences with us !
Great information! I am a new chicken mom of six 18-week-old hens; so far, no sounds of cockadoodle doo. Fingers crossed. I have held these guys since day one, and today, at 18 weeks old, half are standoffish. They ALL come running when they see me and follow me around their run. I'll try your way with my next babies. @Kingcrossfarms4979 Please tell me the breed of your momma hen; I love their hair!! I need to find some but I think she would end up living in the house.
She is a Pyncheon! And she does spend a lot of time in the house. I have even taken her to school 🥰 they are rare heritage breed that can be hard to find, but polish hens also have even more fun hair! You would probably love them 💕
That was so pleasant and informative. Merry Christmas! 🙏🏼🤙🏼
That’s always my goal 🥰 merry Christmas 🎄🎁

Do I need to separate my rooster from my hen to get my hen to lay eggs? I only have one hen and one rooster. Bantams . I got them March 2023
Only if he is stressing her out. She probably isn’t laying because of the time of year :)
It HAD to be a white chick. I'm white, but I am not THAT white
For a split second my brain was like “there weren’t any white chickens in this video” 😂🤣🤣
