This was the game that I expected. I knew that Duke was a good defensive team but couldn't score but Uconn didn't play that well offensively down the stretch (Tire ?)... Aaliyah had an awful game. She needs to play better against USC for sure if they want to continue. It's going to be a really tough game for them to win on Monday but I'm hoping. Need Ash to score for sure and Ice needs to play better..Geno should have put in ICE just to avoid a 4th foul on Aaliyah...Rooting for the ladies as always - Go huskies..
Duke knew that in order to be effective they had to shut down shade. And thats exactly what they did. It was a smart defensive move especially in the 2nd half
True. Teams know that Paige and Aaliyah are getting their points, so they have to shut down the 3rd option, which is Shade. Luckily KK stepped up with a good offensive game. Uconn really needs KK and Nika to be scoring threats if they want to beat USC.
All teams always go to their best player like usc and Iowa catlin handles the ball so she decides to shoot or not with UConn the players and Geno decides when Paige fetes it

No one at this point can ever replace the player Ice had to fill in for, but I will say this again, she did her job and did it well. I said this the last game also, she came into a raging hornets nest cold and barely warmed up. And by this time the starters were running ragged. Defense pulls twice as much out of you as any offense ever will. All our girls were trashed. Go look again at the first quarter and compare it to the third. Even Paige was trashed. A blind person can see the difference.
Ice is a star and she knows it, as she plays more and more her scoring will rise. At the bare minimum- she boxes out, rebounds, throws a quick outlet pass and runs the floor well! Go UCONN Go Huskies Basketball 🏀

Jesus Christ man quit being such a freaking homer. She is far from a star right now. what the hell game were you watching. She needs a lot of work and if it wasn't for foul trouble for Edwards she would not have even got in the game. I will admit she showed flashes this year and hoping she puts in the work in the off season to get better because UConn will need her next year. Star? hardly as of right now.

Yeah she was fresh should be better. the only thing I agree with is they were dog tired in the 4th and yeah genius I know it was because of the great defensive effort they had took everything out of them. Ice played terrible defense. AGAIN 13 MINUTES 1 REBOUND 1 ASSIST 2 POINTS!!!! and the points came on a gift from Nika on a 3 on none break. I hope she has the work ethic to vastly improve in the off season because she will be needed next year. She showed flashes this year in a few games but right now as of this moment she is not a lot of help. She should have been since Duke did not have a lot of size.
Duke played no better than the better Big East teams that we stomped by 30. UConn tired? Come on, they had 5 days after the Syracuse game. For whatever reason, they just played poorly. Hope they bring their A game to USC.
I'm 75 years old and have watched womens BB for a lot of years and I can honestly say that U Conn and Duke are the WORST 2 teams I've ever seen that made the final 16!

This was a terrible game by both teams. The only reason Uconn won was because Duke helped by being so undisciplined.
this was a great game if you like to watch 2 good defensive teams go at it. if thats all you want to see is offense go watch NBA
