A lot of apprehension which is warranted. She had a serious injury and surgery. She will need time to regain her confidence and endurance. She appears winded at times.
No one's been a bigger Geno-critic (about running up the score) than I have. But right now there isn't an A v. B team. There are 2 A teams. It would've been nice to see Amari & Piath in at the 3rd quarter - tho
If you focus on Nika's play, you'll see that her defensive positioning effort and positioning prevents the opponent from doing what they want to do. Her true impact isn't reflected on the scoring sheet. But I believe the opposing team and coaching staff are happy they don't have to face Nika every game.
Interesting that during the ESPN reveal of their brackets the only teams they did not show was UCONN and Mercer. Waited all day to see it and it never happened. I think its ESPN's knee jerk reaction to being accused of favoring the Huskies, started by Muffet McGraw from Notre Dame.
Caroline is the one you to concentrate on... get her to score... as you will need her down the line!!!! She needs more than a hung from the Sisterhood!!! When she was starting she was doing so much better and she is a scorer that needs to do so to be happy inside!!!! 90 point in a tournament in the NCAA is nothing... so that is normally 10 points a piece!!!! I am happy for Paige but she needs to step up and help others in individual practice!!!!
Caroline in my opinion will be a key player because these last few games are against lesser teams. When the team needed a baller with no fear Carolina is one of the few that stepped up, we will need that against sweet 16 and above. We are feasting on lesser teams which is good for everyone and team to build confidence but only a handful of the players have showed to be goto at crunch time.
Caroline needs too play a started role as she gets stronger as game goes on and needs too find her inside at 6 2 she as big as some forwards better inside than out some players can't come in and out and be the same player
I think it was Vince Lombardi’s quote about how defense always wins the game that I think sums it up. “If they can’t ever score on you, then they can never beat you.”
Not true - When Caroline came in the game last weekend, she helped start the 20-0 (or whatever) run in that 1st Qu that blew the game open... DuCharme had steals, very good passes, fast breaks etc. ... This was the 1st game of the tournament - let's see how the team gets settled into INdianapolis & their surroundings tomorrow & the rest of the weekend.
Caroline needs to be relaxed and not hurry so much, and then she can be the player she was, when she helped carry the team when there were injuries. She will be fine, but it goes back to her. Lets go Huskies
'"I can dribble the ball from this spot to that spot and get my shot and nobody can keep me from doing it." Yep, sounds good.
Paige played very well the best she's played since coming back but you can see a little bit of appreciation in her movements
er, apprehension, maybe?

Caroline and Dorka work really well together.
TCOB. There was a brief glimmer of the real Paige today in Q3 and 4. We can hope that will lead to more in the semis, and beyond.

Easy does it for Paige. Carolina games isn't right. She hasn't been the same since that head injury.
