Paige has never been a 'hot dog or glory hog' but she has been taught to be a team player... Coach she stops talking when the buzzer horn says play... She goes to work as a blue collar player!!!!!
Considering that Crystal ended up with WNBA Rookie of the Year and Megan averaged 11 minutes and 3 ppg in her WNBA rookie season, yeah, she should've stayed another year.
I’ve always wondered why she made this decision. I know that for the right person, it’s the best decision at the time like Jewell loyd, etc.. but I think you have to be pretty sure you’re ready and going to a) draft pretty high and b) won’t get lost in the pro game to adult athletes. I have no clue why if you weren’t sure of those things, you wouldn’t spend another year with the best teaching programme available, developing and progressing your skills that much more. Because look how important senior year was to Phee, and Crystal! Still the same players but SO much more POLISHED and ready to face the WNBA. Even more so because look at the incredible opportunity she would’ve had here..the SOLE senior on the team for a start, so it would’ve been HER team, such talent coming in so a very real chance to win a national championship..even if it was COVID driven, In reality if this season was cancelled there’s no way the seniors wouldn’t have been granted eligibility for the next year. I think it was a really stupid move and the results showed it, unfortunately..
@@01dAnCe01 It's possible that Megan saw she'd be drafted pretty high and with the talented incoming class, it's possible she would have been overshadowed by some of her teammates, resulting in her getting drafted even lower had she stayed. I personally believe that Aubrey is more talented than Megan and will be a star in the WNBA, after starring at UConn. That said, I really believe that Megan would have benefitted greatly by staying her senior year. She looked like she was in over her head jumping to the WNBA where the talent level is very high. Another year at UConn would have made the transition easier, even if she was drafted lower than she was this year. I'm really looking forward to watching this year's team.
@@01dAnCe01 Really amazed that Dangerfield had such a good transition to the pro level. She never quite filled the shoes of Jefferson. Mo was so opportunistic at UCONN. Dangerfield seemed reluctant to play big. Happy things worked out for her.
Jaxon Eillis I agree on some level - I always can’t help but imagine what the outcome of 19’ could’ve been if Crystal took a little more of the scoring on In her junior year and took a bit more of the pressure off Phee and Lou, because they really shouldered it all that year. But I think she did stand out last year, because although you’re right - Mo was great- she always had other support in stewie etc, , but In crystal’s senior year she ended up being one of the only reliable offensive options given that Williams was having a very inconsistent year. But I do think they’re both great and loved seeing her win rookie of the year! And with Paige now in, whew, Uconn have really had some incredible point guards haven’t they !!
Love you Geno!
3:40 Looking more and more like a possibility.

I think they ready but too bad Megan didn't stay
