You made the right choice; I have a friend that worked his way up to broker/manager of a large agency in a metro area, the company promised him millions of dollars and a partial ownership in his office. When it came time to pay up on all that, they fired him. If you aren't working for yourself, it all seemed like a pyramid scheme to me.
Wow that’s crazy! I definitely followed my guy instinct but I know a lot of successful agents who work for other teams but there are just as many untrustworthy agents out there as well so have to be careful for sure!

hopefully they let you back into the parks. That's really harsh to ban someone from Disney
