Master! 😮
thanks for making this quick, helped me!
Glad it helped!
Waiting for the civic 07-11 conversion 🥰🥰🥰
But I’m not sure if the SI cluster(rpm-speedmeter)will work or not plus my interior harness is automatic
And thank you so much you me it easier for us 👍🏻
It should work. Both the automatic and manual use a countershaft speed sensor.
How does one know what size pins you need to re-pin the wires?? If it's a pin for 18-24awg will it fit back into the connector?
How do I de pin the wire of a 2016 honda civic ex-t bypass solenoid control female connector ?
Send a picture of the connector to askvtecacademy@gmail.com and I’ll tell you.
Link is no longer available. Anyone have another source of purchasing
For the terminals or tools?
Sorry I wasn’t being specific
For the de pinning tool, I tried summit to look for that same kit and no luck. Only de pinning tool I found was for gm/Chevy
@@VTECAcademy Please update the link for the depinning tool kit! I need this!
difficult to hear you over the annoying music..
I have to try this i have a Throttle body connector lock tab that broke off. My options would be to replace entire harness. But thats to expensive and time consuming. So i rather go online and found the connector i need. And remove the connector plug using this method.
Hope it worked for you!
great video!
This is deppining not repinning
Good catch!
I don't see the green connector that's on my 97 honda, it looks like its a connector inside a round connector
Any link to the tool kit?

Great video. I had the reverse lockout connector wires pull out of the connector when I removed the tranny on my TSX because I forgot to unplug it! Is there somewhere I can buy replacement pins so I can reconnect the wires to the connector?
We find ours from www.corsa-technic.com
How do I remove a honda civic sidelight type connector on the loom connection ,I've a rusted pin stuck in it
Start by soaking it in PB Blaster.
Thanks a lot for the pointers Brian! Just started labeling the sensors in the cabin so I can de-pin all the wires I will no longer be using in my FA5. This video could not have come at a better time! Going to use the factory ECU to run a few of the factory systems and make a jumper harness for my standalone. Have to get ready for the fc3 next. 100% function-able or bust.
Your wealth of knowledge is always appreciated. Came to listen to the last VTEC ACADEMY live while I was getting ready and ended up with a nice refresher course!
Hell yeah, that's what's up!
Great tip👍👍👍where can we get those picking tools

The basic pick set that was first shown you can find generally at any hardware store usually near the screwdrivers. The dental pick set oddly I've seen for sell at local gun shows as are repurposed as gun cleaning tools or could surely find on ebay or amazon. As for the Honda pick kit you could inquire about it at your local Honda dealer. I will say that the Honda kit is very expensive for what it is. I've been wanting to buy the kit for myself but so far have just made without it so far. As mentioned in the video if you have a Honda service manual it will tell you the tool part number for the specific job your doing for a single pick tool or there is the pick tool kit. Also in an older Vtec academy episode someone mentioned repurposing the wire from a used wiper blade just shaping the ends if you have patience and like to DIY make a pick tool out of that.
Harbor freights. Less than $5.
Great stuff my man
Much appreciated!
would i be able to repin obd1 injector plug in replace of a rdx injector plug ?
You'd need a different terminal.
@@VTECAcademy AHHH okokok then ill probably just splice into my obd1 harness and rewire in my rdx injector clips in
$749 for the Honda Terminal Toolkit? I should think not!
They were cheap when we did the video.
