I just got one of those yesterday! Beautiful knife! The beaver inlay and those beautiful cherry scales did it for me. Carries nice in an Opinel no8 pocket slip
It's a lot bigger than the 77. This one is 4.5" closed. GEC just updated their production schedule today. There's 6 different handle materials & shields that are coming out!!!
Oh really Tyler I didn’t hear that….. that’s super cool bring them on these are so sweet I just love these dam things…..thanks for the heads up……. Stay well have a fantastic weekend stay wit me!!!!!😊
Even more stoked. Just won the bid on eBay for this pattern at $152.50! couldn't snag one during the drop at $175 so I am eagerly awaiting delivery. I loved your review and share your appreciation for this knife.
Holy moly you scored a great one there buddy! I tried collection GEC's for a while but I simply didn't have the dedication it takes, especially when you live in Europe like me, so I stuck to Benchmade lol... Congrats!
I just ordered one an hour ago from blade hq for $129.00. No kidding. I had my initials put on it and I bought a pocket slip from GEC. Gonna be my EDC for a long time.
Thrifty all Jokin aside I’ve been doing this for a long time and 188 bucks for this piece I couldn’t get my card out fast enough these are the pieces collectors are going to want years to come because it’s a PPP knife and believe it or not the inlays mean a lot the cooler the shield the more money it will fetch 😊love you brother I’ll see you in the livestreams
You're dead right to carry and use your GECs - it's what Bill made them for and you enjoy them so much more that way. Dunno why you were expecting a 'little guy' though, the website said it was going to be a 4.5 inch knife! A #77 is only 3.75 inches btw - what I'd call a medium. And yes, that Brazillian Cherrywood with beaver is stunning Pete, no question.
That is a thing of beauty kind sir. Love me some GEC Beavertail Brazilian Cherry wood knives. I have a few of them. Will definitely eventually try to get this one for sure. Thank you and God bless.
Beautiful piece Pete. It's one of the oldest patterns made by knife manufacturers. The Old English Jack Knife in large size. Great grab buddy. To me a knife is worth whatever I think it is worth.
Oh Really BH I kinda knew it was a old pattern but I didn’t know how old…… but I’m stoked on this one thanks so much I always appreciate your comments and the support….. have a great and safe weekend there are some nut jobs out there!!!! Talk to you soon 😊
Beautiful knife sir. I wasn’t going to try for one of these because I got the 65 Hogan last year; but after seeing this and seeing the over covers announced… I’m going to have to try! I’ve never been a huge fan of the pen secondary (I prefer a coping or warnny), but this beast is like a main blade. Great video. Subbed!
Hey Tobias boy they do sell out quick man it was like yesterday I started down this road!!!! It hasn’t been easy it’s been a ton of sacrificing….. it takes a lot of time and money but this is something I expected I enjoy the hobby and GEC cutlery to give it up!!!! I also feel extremely fortunate because they don’t make it easy to get!!!! I have 40 in total so we’ll see where this takes me thanks Tobias….. sorry to tell you my life history but I was just flowing 😊have a great weekend
Hey Rick that’s fantastic…… did you hear that GEC is coming out with a bunch of new patterns and guess what I hear there going to be so nice!!!!! Thanks so much Rick greatly appreciate you…… maybe I’ll see you in the livestreams have a great weekend 😊
That’s beautiful , in all the years I’ve only been able to score one new GEC knife because I won’t pay the he secondary market prices. It is a beautiful lock back but unfortunately the model always comes with slightly vertical blade play
I hear ya about the secondary prices….. they rob ya without the gun….. I tryed to muscle it side to side and I didn’t feel anything but normally there is a little play thanks as always for the comment and support have a fantastic weekend 😊
I always heard that the 3rd number stands for the style of the main blade but I'm half a dummy, so that may be wrong. That is definitely a good looking piece and will be great content for some "WOOD WEDNESDAY" Shorts!!! It's definitely worth the $$ you spent on it, in 3 weeks this model will be on eBay for $350.
Yes J it probably will I looked I didn’t see any on there I think I saw one for 220 bucks…… I know how to read the numbers but I get so stinkin excited everything goes out the window…. I wish you would have hopped on this one with me but don’t worry I just got word they are comin out with a bunch of new styles I can’t handle this!!!! Anyway thanks as always brother and I’ll see you in the livestreams stay well 😊
Yes sir: first two numbers are the pattern, third number is the style posted on their site; fourth number is the total # of blades on the knife; last two numbers id's the year of birth.
That's a beautie, for sure! Thanks for sharing, Pete!
You definitely snagged a great piece for sure 👌 👏 👍

I want one if I can buy one when they drop for sale they sell so fast I really like this pattern and size a lot.
That’s a cool shield! I don’t own any GEC Knives (yet)
I think the first one to come out was the Remington Daddy Barlow that came out a few months ago .
How hard it is getting to that main blade with the pen blade still settled?
It’s probably worth it yeah. It’s a bit dear but if you put one in front of me I’d buy it for that 😅
Sweet pick-up Pete! That is an awesome knife brother - I passed on this one for now, I have the #85 Beaver 🦫...
Take Care My Friend ✌️🙏🇺🇸
Just ordered the "oil well sucker rod" version 😁

Hey nice beaver. 😂
Beautiful cherry wood. Congrats on getting the totally new PPP knife. Is the name supposed to be a bit comedic?
Yeah and especially with me saying it I mess all the names up lol thanks brother 😊
