I laughed as u talked about the order of giving rings. I pictured some ancient guy giving his wife that ring after only 5 yrs marriage and saying, well, my dear, being with u these past 5 yrs has seemed an absolute eternity!
You should have the gemstones tested. The fact that the inside of the setting is open is usually standard for some kind of precious gemstone. How exciting!
Yes you should take it to a jewelers as they can give it a check over and a quote for free. Great find tho and the horse was good too. Love the sherd stories, always interesting, thank you
Hiya beautiful ladies, awesome video and the bone thing is for making Fishing Nets. I fished Commercially for many years, and that is what we used to make our fishing net's, they would be different sizes, the widths of the needle would be for the size of the holes of the net's. And string would be wound around the needle. You can tell that one was used a lot, and they are still used today, and are used for repairing or making of net's. I hope yall have a awesome blessed day. Cya! 😺🐟 out!
The bone thing could be a pottery tool for working on the wheel. Or for smoothing the edge of leather. Or one of a hundred other things…. Glad I could clear that up for you. Lol.
The bone thing makes me think of something maybe used to repair fishing nets. However, I could be totally wrong about that. Thank You for solving a mystery for me. I have a Terra cotta scottie dog that I found in an antique desk left to me by my grandmother. I always wondered about it so now I know! And ! I love your horse Kate, beautiful!
A very exciting lark you two had..that ring is so precious and beautiful..like your reaction Fleur when you found it!! I bet a jeweller would test those stones. The back of the stone settings are open..that's usually for previous stones..it's been battered by rocks is all..how lovely to find! And I love the Sherd stories you look into..always interesting and like a story in your hand..love the little horse and the giggles Kate..you made Monday wonderful!
The horse find was a beauty, near pristine! Liked the simplicity of the ring Fleur, an attractive design with a lot of meaning. The choices of music for your videos are just wonderful, keep it up.
What you have just picked up was a please seal where you put a thin piece of wire through a fuse case to stop people from breaking into the mains power meter box to prevent electric shock
I have the same ring, I found it when my grandma passed away in a box of rings she kept, she was 102 when she died. There is a pattern around the edge, so the pitting on yours is part pattern 😊
Kate I loved your plaid overalls. You two ladies have your own cool fashion style. Glad you both found an exciting find. I really liked the horse. Should be a good addition to some part of one of the doll's houses. On the thumbnail I thought it was made of terra cotta, or is it an early plastic? Cool find either way. God bless. Hugs to Sunny cat.
She said it was Terra cotta. It's adorable. We never had cool cracker jack toys like that but I was a 60's child and we got much better things than the garbage they have today. So disappointed in cracker jack now.
Those must have been great fun to find! I didn't get Cracker Jack until the '70s and we were the era of paper things. Wish I had those mini paper things though! Tiny books and miniature puzzle toys.
Those clay beads could be painted with designs, a colour or a small picture eg butterflies and glazed to make jewellery I.e earrings, pendants or bracelets 😊😊❤
How awesome, Fleur please take the ring to a jeweller and find out what the gems are as there open backed which usually means the gems could be real 🤷♀️🤷♀️ just something I’ve picked up watching jewellery videos. Kate your horse is amazing, congratulations to both of you on your great finds. Take care and thank you for sharing your beautiful finds and the Sherd story 👏🙏❤️
Don't let the at the jewelry store take you ring where you can't see it. If the stones are real they can be taken out. They did that to one of my rings
I love the eternity ring. My dad gave my mom a simple and unique eternity ring (no stones, but a quality metal) each time she had a child. When she passed away, he gave each of us our ring and I wear my platinum band every day.
For what it would cost to have the ring examined, you could purchase a diamond "reader" and check the stones yourselves. And there would be no worries about them switching the stones.
Kate, the little ceramic piece you found at the beginning looked like a rook for your chess set. Another great adventure. I envy the beaches you have. Not something we have in NZ. Love you ladies. You bring a big smile to my face every video.😊
What a lovely ring you found. It may not be real stones, or precious metal, but its very pretty none the less. The centiment alone makes it precious. That little horse was a great find too. In such good condition. It was a good day to go larking on the beach i think. 😊x
Beautiful finds ladies. The bone thing has me thinking Paleolithic, but I'm so not an expert, just reminds me of something I've seen. Thank you both for another wonderful video. Have a fantastic week K&C Family!
Love the horse, Love the sherd and the ring is gorgeous, I have a modern silver half eternity ring with multi colour saphires in it , it is beautiful, if you took your ring to an old established jewlwers they could put some light to it and what it is made of, enjoyed your video today as always.
The object at 26:20 looks a bit like the end of a fishing net needle. The ring is fascinating and intriguing! The other kind of ring given to a wife after years of marriage is a trilogy ring, a ring having 3 stones representing the past, the present and the future, similar to the idea of the eternity ring.
8:57 Yardley -- would it be the lid of a stick cologne? It is pretty big though for cologne, wonder if it were for a container of scented powder??? ok, another guess -- would the bone with the half circle carved out be for lifting a military button away from the uniform to polish the button without getting the polish on the uniform? maybe it is too thick for that, however...
Fleur, I think it may be a good sign that the inside of the ring has “breathing holes” which are a functional ring element meant to help with luminosity, setting, maintaining, and wearing the ring. The fact that the stones are all intact tells me it’s a quality setting. Maybe my old eyes want to see something that’s not there but I thought there were remnants of laurel leaves on the outside of the band. I can’t tell if the stones are round or square. It’s a beautiful ring and I hope you take it to a reputable jeweler to test the metal and stones. Nevertheless, it’s treasure!’ ❤😊
Lots of new finds. Definitely have the ring tested for real diamonds. Whoever made the ring was brilliant 🤩. On the Sherd, have you checked out Barker Bros. LTD, Meir Works, Longton, England 1876-1981? Longton was known for it’s pottery industry. Maybe they had an employee cafeteria.
Always enjoy watching your videos too. Beautiful ladies. Much love and respect from Canada, Alberta beautiful young lady reminds me of the main actor from fly away home movie😊
Try some Goddard's silver polish on it. If it cleans up then it's silver or silver plated. The bone thing might be a button polisher, though i couldn't find one exacly the same so not sure. There was also a Barker Bros (ltd) pottery manufacturer in Longton, stoke on trent, and Cafeteria could be a pattern or trade name.
I was very impressed you found such a pretty ring. In the mud. The backside of the stone settings are open, that could be a sign for more expensiv jewells. I hope you show it to a yeweller. I hope you tell us what it really is ✨️❤️👋
That was lovely, well my husband and I have been married for 49 years my eternity ring will come next you and I will remember your story not a diamond was lost and I have true loving love. I so love your shows
It would be interesting to have a psychic hold the eternity ring and see what they could tell you about it! Please film it if you take to some one! The stones do look like diamonds!
Fabulous video ladies! Love the crackerjack horse and the ring, excellent finds! Love the sherd story, it's nice to imagine it being brought back from Australia as a token of happy times spent there. Maybe one day you will find the other piece and solve the mystery 🤞😁💖 x
I think that the stones are real because there are holes behind each stone. therefore allowing them to shine brightly. Let us know if you decide to test the stones. Lovely.
To think that people are walking on the stones and don't realise what is under their feet, as my late father used to say to us x5 sisters and a brother " when in town keep your window down " meaning to look around all the time as you don't know what is under your feet
Hi, very interesting collection of quality items, love the lead horses head, so elegant, and of course the terra cotta pony, beautiful. I wondered if a jeweler could tell you what the metal of the eternity ring is ? so evocative of someones marriage and life. (with tiny hands!!!). Have a good week.
The strange bone/wood with the 2 prongs at one end looks like a tool for making and mending nets. My husband makes his own out of wood. That one looks like a tool for a fine net.
Channel set stones almost never fall out of their setting. Not being magnetic only means that the ring doesn't contain any ferrous metals. Agree with the others that you should take the ring to a jeweler who is a gemologist and let the ring be examined. A gemologist will be able to ID the stones give you an approximate age of the ring based on their cut.
The little horse is a wonderful find for you Kate, and in such good condition too. The winner of the day for me though, was the ring, totally thrilling and well spotted Fleur. I agree with @rockreader4298 about gemstone testing but I would assume that a reputable jeweller clean the ring first, they will know if it is a precious metal which will be a signpost that the actual settling would most likely be of gemstone quality and seeing they are clear, I hope your wish comes true for diamonds. Please keep us all posted on the outcome. - It is so exciting
I laughed as u talked about the order of giving rings. I pictured some ancient guy giving his wife that ring after only 5 yrs marriage and saying, well, my dear, being with u these past 5 yrs has seemed an absolute eternity!
I hope you saved that beautiful piece of orange glass…all I could think of was fire for the dollhouse fireplace
What a crackling idea‼ Would like to see that.
Great idea 👍
Looked like Carnival glass to me
You should have the gemstones tested. The fact that the inside of the setting is open is usually standard for some kind of precious gemstone. How exciting!

Cya! 😺🐟 out!
I knew the old salts were having a smile. Interesting she intuited it smelled fishy.
@@Insideoutie yes it sure will, the fish oils will get inside of it.
The bone tool looks like a tool they use in repairing fishing nets.
yes 100 percent I think you are right.
This is what I thought too! I remember my Grandfather using something similar.
The bone thing could be a pottery tool for working on the wheel. Or for smoothing the edge of leather. Or one of a hundred other things…. Glad I could clear that up for you. Lol.
I for one appreciate such a well researched and academic reply. Ha ha. Thanks for the great comment.😊

I have a Terra cotta scottie dog that I found in an antique desk left to me by my grandmother. I always wondered about it so now I know! And ! I love your horse Kate, beautiful!
I agree and it might be quite old.
That tiny roller could be the blades for an old fashioned push mower, I’m sure you could make one.
That’s what I thought too ,👍
I thought that to 😊
Your Terra cotta horse apparently worked his butt off! 😂
A very exciting lark you two had..that ring is so precious and beautiful..like your reaction Fleur when you found it!! I bet a jeweller would test those stones. That eternity ring is great! Lots of interesting mini goodies again. That little roller almost looks like a miniature lawn mower rotary blade 😂
The ring looks real. The holes under the gemstones lets the light shine through.
❤Luv ya bunches, Kate and Fleur❤
What you have just picked up was a please seal where you put a thin piece of wire through a fuse case to stop people from breaking into the mains power meter box to prevent electric shock

I get the impression you also enjoy the wildlife aspect of mudlarking as you do see some beautiful wildlife.
Congratulations on your very exciting treasure finds, Fleur and Kate. You never know what the tide will bring you. : )
🙋♀️❤You two would make a fine BBC Mudlarking History Mystery Series!
The ring story is lovely.
You ladies have brightened up a rainy day in Tennessee, USA.
How awesome, Fleur please take the ring to a jeweller and find out what the gems are as there open backed which usually means the gems could be real 🤷♀️🤷♀️ just something I’ve picked up watching jewellery videos. i LOVE MY TWO MOMS. man is our palladium two letter els....These two are eternally around me.
I love the eternity ring. My dad gave my mom a simple and unique eternity ring (no stones, but a quality metal) each time she had a child. When she passed away, he gave each of us our ring and I wear my platinum band every day.

Your mystery bone object may have been used to make fishing nets.
You could have a jeweler look at your ring.
The tides have a way of leading you lovely ladies to amazing treasures congrats to you both Karl from Canada

Finding beauty in such random discarded objects suggests a totally beautiful soul. Lovely recording as usual.

Love the little ring and the horse ! The orange glass was beautiful !

Could be white sapphires in the ring. 😀 Great finds girls.
I love watching you two! Your chemistry is darling!

The little "roller" thing at 27:25 looked to me like the blades of a doll house push mower, just missing the handle.
That was lovely, well my husband and I have been married for 49 years my eternity ring will come next you and I will remember your story not a diamond was lost and I have true loving love. I so love your shows
What a lovely surprise to open YT and there you guys are! Always so sweet 😃
This Adventure is a Winner🎉 with that gorgeous eternity ring, Love the meaning😮, oh and that horse💥😁🙋♀️
Very cool finds!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊
I have an eternity necklace my wonderful husband of 44 years gave me. I treasure it and wear it all the time anymore.
It would be interesting to have a psychic hold the eternity ring and see what they could tell you about it! Please film it if you take to some one! The stones do look like diamonds!
I didn't think Crackerjack toys were that big. All of the vintage ones I have are metal and about 1 1/2 - 2". Were the toys different in the UK?
Salt water oxides silver makes it turn dark. Maybe the ring is silver. Platinum pits. I had a Platinum wedding ring and it pitted.
Fabulous video ladies! Love the crackerjack horse and the ring, excellent finds! Love the sherd story, it's nice to imagine it being brought back from Australia as a token of happy times spent there. Maybe one day you will find the other piece and solve the mystery 🤞😁💖 x
I really enjoyed watching this video ❤
Thank you for this wonderful video.
As always a wonderful video!

I think that the stones are real because there are holes behind each stone. therefore allowing them to shine brightly. Let us know if you decide to test the stones. Lovely.

You can make a bottle top cut into put on a lid like that. It will look beautiful crafts idea. 🙂
Very interesting finds. The ring is beautiful. Enjoyable video. Thank you.
How pretty is that ring, so happy you found it.
8:20 soomething, I think that might have been a River Boat Paddle!
To think that people are walking on the stones and don't realise what is under their feet, as my late father used to say to us x5 sisters and a brother " when in town keep your window down " meaning to look around all the time as you don't know what is under your feet

The bone tool could be a net making gauge tool.
If it cuts glass it is a diamond. The strange metal thing reminds me of a toy lawn mower.
The “tap” would make a nice water pump in the oldest kitchen or in the garden.
