I just played Titanfall 2 for the first time last week and WOW! Legit one of the best campaigns I have ever played. I would love to see another Titanfall happen at some point, but it just seems so unlikely. I would also fear that with how predatory monetization has become in not just F2P games, but any game, that Titanfall 3 would succumb to the same issue as Apex: more focus on cosmetics and less on the actual game.

You forgot to mention when Respawn edged us for 2 months then it resulted in a small patch but really advertising for an Apex hero who ate a titan battery and became magical. Arguably the biggest gut punch for me as a hardcore fan.

It was definitely odd it was multiplayer only, but the 'campaign lobbies' in titanfall were actually kind of a cool gimmick. Picking a faction and playing against people who chose the other, fighting for your story progression created extra rivalry.
I thought it was underappreciated in a way. And the dialogue was pretty solid for what it was.

Titanfall is the one series where we feel connected with the game. Frontier defense was and still is a great game mode. Because it makes you feel like you and 3 others just won fighting off 5 waves of enemy assaults and fighting off to defend one crucial objective.
The community is better on paper and outside of the game. Inside the game it’s riddled with and fueled by hateful, spiteful people that play only to win and not have fun. I’ve noticed an extreme disconnect between the in game community and the forums it exists for.

@@Just_A_Leigon_Main Every time I play on New York servers on xbox, at some point throughout the day I get a six stack death squad of g100s that will usually DM the person at the top of the enemy team out of spite. There’s more than one, and each have their own unique way of being incredibly annoying.

The only thing I didn't like about titanfall was that the maps felt too small for mech battles, I hope somone makes a spiritual successor to Battlefield 2142 with awesome mech battles and large battlefield maps and titan fights. Also a sci fi war thunder would be sick.

Worried about the direction of the battlefield franchise tbh with the latest news. But with Vince being the new head of it I could totally see a sort of fusion of both series. Battlefields large combined arms maps with elements of Titanfall. The real issue being the map design allowing for that tight and fluid movement Titanfall is known for.
I actually have to disagree when it comes to most maps. Some maps are perfectly sized or slightly too large because in the end, you're going to be on your feet the majority of the time and not in a Titan. Then maps are still plenty large enough for titans to move around and battle although there are more restrictive maps that will benefit some titans like scorch a lot more.
Pretty shocked that this video wasnt from some huge channel. Great storytelling, hope you go far!

I loved playing brink. Timing jumps I was good at! Twitch reflexes on turning a corner, not so much.

as a member of the team fortress community who only just found our brothers of the same tf2 title, you guys need your own #savetf2, hell the team fortress community is about to do another one, you need our persistence despite your smaller community and playerbase, you could make a difference although i cant figure out if that's harder to get with EA or VALVe.

I’m so grateful my friend told me to get Titan fall two on release day. I was like no I’m gonna get a battlefield one and he said the same thing that BT said he said trust me I truly have some of the best online gaming memories from Titan 2 also the story mode was incredibly well-made, I’ll just truly never understand why EA decided to release Titan fall two during the two biggest game launches of the century. They really shot themselves in the head with that one.

FYI lots of people are also dissatisfied with the smart pistol, it's a broken weapon that made me and many others to lose interest in Titanfall as a whole.

Its the same story with all of the other companies. Why make a singleplayer game that makes money once, when you can make a live service game that makes not just 60$ from the player, but 100s if not 1,000s from even an individual player. Why make game mechanics when you can sell overpriced loot boxes and skins? Same with fallout 76 , elder scrolls online, etc. These companies put a lot of resources into these games which at this point are just skin shops.

I blame mainly EA for the non-existance of TF3. Respawn almost did a new Titanfall game wich would have Blisk as main character and BT beeing rebuild, but EA didn't allow it. They'll probably never let Respawn make Titanfall 3 because they think it won't sell well like the second game, even though it was their fault for choosing a terrible time to launch it. And now it looks like they're gonna kill Apex Legends too. I really hate EA

It wasn’t even EA (apart from the obvious fact they made them drop between 2 massive games) , I mean they were kind of involved but they bought respawn specifically for TF3 and respawn said “no lmao, we started it but now it’s a br”
I know everyone wants to blame Titanfall's death on EA but it was also Respawn's decision to make apex instead of Titanfall 3. It was also respawn's decision to release in the fall but they made this decision before EA decided BF1's release date, so the argument can still be made EA had a hand in TF2 release date issues.
Armored core 6 was a fantastic game but it was missing one key thing and that was the humans.
Without the humans the Mechs didn't feel like these giant walking machines.
I mean corporations happened, once you make a deals with the devil, say goodbye to creativity, or even fun

It truly is a tragedy that titanfall had passed, the bad release dates by ea and the release of apex (I’m still convinced that ea forced respawn to make a battle royale) really did ruin the game.
The bigger tragedy is the fact that respawn is still gutting the decaying corpse of titanfall to get content for apex.
Causing massive continuity issues and overall baiting the titanfall community for what is essentially a macaroni sculpture of the statue of David.
Clunky movement mechanics, unintelligible action feedback (getting hits and downs or kills or whatever) and characters that mostly lack the charm, grit and overall determination of those of previous games.
Gunplay is good if not limited by the clunky animations.
I wish respawn never made apex as its own game.
(All of this is based on my own experience playing apex from 2 years ago, sorry if I’ve made any outdated points)

Ive said it for years and ill say it again. 2016, we got what was arguably the greatest multiplayer fps game in history with Titanfall 2. With EA at the helm, of course they havent made a sequel because if the license was in any other companys hands, you know it would get a battle Royale mode and everything else you see nowadays

EA didn’t make the choice. Just like how EA didn’t make the choice to release Apex, instead that was brought onto them as a surprise by Respawn.

Literally one of the best FPS ever made. It set a standard and was copied by the most successful IPs for years to come. EA has destroyed a masterpiece and it's sad. Idk why zampella would ever agree to partner with the devil. There's a reason he left respawn years ago. For anyone who wants titanfall 3, don't hold your breath. Even if we did get it, it wouldn't be Titanfall 3. The original devs have left and it would be a bastardized version of it with EAs nasty coat of paint.

Is not dead, has an active playerbase, and because matchmaking is not skill based it finds lobbies really fast for a game with an average of 2k players
I feel like Titanfall 3 Legitimately could be a big game today. EA style microtransactions would leave a sour taste in the mouth of people who've asked for the game for years but tbf they could quite easily use the popularity of Apex to promote the game in turn. Idfk, detonate the arc weapon in the middle of an apex map or somethn like the old fornite map changes link back to titanfall 2 and have the game actually contribute to the lore and not just leech of it.
Cheating and Hacks is the reason I don't play Apex or T2 anymore... 😢

I hate to admit that I was part of the problem back for both Titanfall games. Titanfall 1 was an Xbox and PC exclusive. I had PlayStation and my PC sucked ass, and I didn't really have much money to spend on games. Then for Titanfall 2, I put a nail in the coffin by buying both Battlefield 1 and Infinite Warfare. Never really played much Titanfall 1 either so I didn't know what to expect with Titanfall 2. EA chose the wrong day for that game to drop, sandwiched between IW and BF1
I have played both a bit due to free weekends and even getting 2 on sale. Apex never got me hooked because I'm not a fan of Battle Royale, even if Apex is one of the BR's I've scored a W in. Let's hope someday Respawn can cook TF3

@@TheCouch-Co-Op barely. I dropped it hard once the Russian DLC dropped. Operations was a cool idea but those maps were barely balanced. I got a free copy of IW deluxe edition for my $200 COD XP 2016 ticket, and COD4 remastered barely was touched because the community was dead on PC. RussianBadger got me into BF1 and then Siege which also blew up around the time of the Russian DLC for BF1
If made properly TF3 would most likely kill Apex or at least cut a huge portion of money EA is milking from it. EA cant allow that, this is the main reason why TF3 will never be released.
I could write an whole essay about how good titanfall 2 was and still is to this day. Im very sad the game died. I played the shit out of it and even when i hopped on for a final round in 2023 i had such a good time again its just sad. I hate Apex Legends, too goofy and full of EA sellout bs. I know Titanfall 2 was EA too but they did it so different with titanfall2. It is a masterpiece.

Most heartbreaking part of this is, Respawn is already owned by EA and will never be able to innovate or evolve their games because they are being held in the neck by suits in the company. Apex is still racking up some money and I still cant understand why, maybe because of sunk cost fallacy or players are already settled for mediocracy. For how many years, no upgrade on servers but there's a 3 times or more collection event which these players will gladly spent money and for EA to get billions. Make that makes sense.

For Jedi Survivor, which was also developed by respawn, EA offered to announce a delay to the game so the devs had more time to cook. A RESPAWN EXECUTIVE DECLINED. look how THAT turned out

I personally LOVED Brink. It had issues but I loved it.
I cannot express my love enough for Titanfall. To me it is pretty much a masterpiece. I love the gameplay shifts from fast paced, rapid movements and gunfights as Pilots to the slower, more methodical and powerful Titans, and the power and impact both roles have in game. Its truly something special. I love the customisation for the gameplay styles like the pilot and titan kits, letting you tweak how you go about playing, or the abilities for each role, and what they all bring…
Some say they dont want Titanfall 3, that it wouldnt beat 2 and it would be different with the people who make up respawn now. But it doesnt have to beat 2. I just want a new game, and a chance for this game to thrive off of the growth that apex legends gave this IP. Because i truly believe Titanfall is a much more fun, and intricate game compared to apex… Respawn tried to suck the movement out of apex… Titanfall fully embraces it.
