You forgot to yell "Timber!". Good video - thanks.

I just picked up one of these for $30 to chop up some of the 3 to 5 inch branches I constantly seem to have around my property. Hasn't arrived yet but I'm glad to hear my reason for purchasing it matches what you say it does well. Was basically tired of resorting to my bow saw rather than taking out my gas chainsaw out of storage for a small job.

I've recently started using my Ryobi mini chainsaw along with my 18" gas powered chainsaw when I cut down trees or large limbs. It's so convenient to use the full size chainsaw for the larger branches and I drag these big branches to the street with my riding mower. Once I have the big branch at the street I use the mini chainsaw to cut it up into smaller pieces and pile them up along the road for pickup.

All the tree huggers are like “why are you killing a tree” they probably have not had a sweet gum or even know what they are. Most annoying tree ever.
Sweet gums are also known a widow makers because they die from the top down dropping limbs on people below. Kid died few miles from us here in east Texas from a sweet gum limb falling on him. Really sad.

Glad to hear the video was helpful. I use mine whenever I can instead of my 16" gas chain saw and it's great to have when limbing branches after cutting down larger trees.

you should always drain bar oil out when done.

I didn't have any problem with bar oil leaking from the first Craftsman chainsaw I bought at a garage sale for $10. I got it running and used it for years until I decided to treat myself to a brand new chainsaw. I bought the last one in the store and when I got it home I opened the sealed box and saw the plastic case had a corner broken off. It must have been one heck of an impact to crush the case like that, but the saw ran fine so I kept it. I suspect there's a hairline crack in the bar oil tank so I try to only add just enough oil for the task at hand and I toss a few paper towels in the bottom of the case before putting the saw away.

Mine quit 6" cutting dry madrone.. Bought from Amazon 1 year ago, "3 year warranty" only good if bought from Home Depot. I'm out of luck there. I'll take saw apart & try to replace whatever's fried. Done with Ryobi / Amazon.
Found that a motor brush broke.. Motor no longer available from Ryobi... Now a throw-away.

Sorry to hear yours died prematurely. I used mine just a few weeks ago to cut down a 6” hickory tree that was leaning over my shrubs. I was able to cut it down and cut it into 16” lengths for our fire pit. So much easier than firing up my 18” chainsaw.
