Peter got a yellow because he did not bring a tag up. (Missed it at the turn).
Interesting to see the novel technique!
I think for me the legs movements would be better over arms because arms increase my blood circulation which in turn increases O2 metabolism in my muscles.
BTW I see the shallower divers put more effort in the start, and I think for myself I choose to go down with a little less speed and with a lot less vigor in order to bring the relaxation I gather at the surface down. You see a fast powerful start really increase heart rate and increases stress by a lot.
What are your personal findings?
I personally dont have a lot of experience in CNF, but from my students, I will agree 100%, and they tend to do a forceful start. I personally am more a "pool guy", no need to struggle with the buoyancy at the beginning of the dive, haha.
For the sculling, I think it might make sense for some freedivers. If after the dive a freediver feels pumped mainly in legs, then shifting some extra work to forearms (which are slow twitch type mainly), can make sense. Let's see if it would become a trend:)
