I have great memories camping along that FR 376 with my college buddies. That area is so beautiful, and there is a stunning waterfall if you have the proper GPS coordinates (pretty easy to find with some determined Googling). Were you out before that big snow storm on Black Friday? That's a pretty epic view from your campsite. And you don't have to be nice to Aggies, the Lobos are the best!
I love the whole area out there. There is lots to explore with road after road to drive on. I have been to a sizeable waterfall somewhere off 376 but it has been so long that I can't remember how to get there. I went after the big snow storm that hit before Black Friday. New Mexico is warm then cold so a lot of the snow melted. But when I climbed up to almost 9,000ft there was at least 6 inched within the tree line. The camp spot was awesome! Haha! I am glad you enjoyed that Aggie Lobo thing haha. Lobos! Thanks for watching brother.
I really enjoyed this! Ive always wanted to take these adventures but Im scared of the cold😬😬 as Ive gotten older Ive become more nervous about bears as well... do u think they’ve started their hibernation? Go lobos!! 👍😀
I would strongly encourage you to get out and try it. It can be cold, but with the right gear and preparation you can beat the cold. I forgot my thermometer so I can't tell you what the low was, but I would imagine 15 degrees. I would imagine most are hibernating if now all of them. Also if you do go, bring bear spray and make sure to store food away several hundred feet away. Go Lobos! Thanks for watching, take care.

Hey ManzanoMan! I am looking to buy a 4 wheeler in the near future and I have narrowed it down to 2 machines. I was wanting to know what you think of your Can am and is it the 570 or the 450 ?

It’s a great ATV. I would recommend Can Am. Man that sounds like a fun plan to take your Kayak and boat camping. Good luck buying a quad.
Great video ManzanoMan, cheers from Canada! It's nice to see the views from your part of the country. I love the tunnels and canyons. You're right, you have to get out and make those trip happen!
Hey man. Thanks for checking it out. That is how I feel about your area. It is beautiful and so much different. I look forward to checking out more videos you put up. I appreciate you commenting.
What a an awesome adventure! Looks like a fantastic location to camp for the night! Love the bushfire cooking too! Great video!
It was a beautiful camping spot. My view was up there with some of the best I have ever had. It was fun cooking up a bushcraft style steak on the open fire. I appreciate you watching and commenting.
I just started using Gaia myself. I use it on both Android and iOS. I pay the subscription and I have been liking it a lot.
I have been using the Gaia App for about a year now without the membership. I finally decided to buy the App a couple weeks ago and I like it a lot as well. The tools it opens is very helpful. Thanks for watching buddy.
Looks so much like East Coast Canada. 🇨🇦
Hey there. Thanks buddy. I love the East Coast Canada scenery you guys have out there. I would love to explore out there one day.
@@ManzanoMan_Adventures Come on up!
Wish I was there to my friend looks like fun
Thanks bud. It was a great trip and having company is always a great time.
Hey what’s up buddy! We ran into you in Jemez (I was the one in the blue truck wearing camo) let me know how I can get that pic you took! Till next time!
Hey! What's up man? I am glad you guys stopped and we had a chance to meet. It was cool to chat and take a pic. Email me at monzanoman at gmail and I will send you the pic we took. Until next time man! Stay safe and healthy buddy!
Very cool Mr Manzanoman I haven't been out for a while so following you around on this post made me feel like I was with you, very very cool. You are doing a great job on the videos keep them coming.
Hey man. I appreciate you watching. Hopefully you can get out in the near future and enjoy the outdoors. I appreciate your long term support and feedback. I hope you have a great Holiday! Take care and stay healthy.
you had me at Mexican Lager... was interested in trying... but then you said was like Corona.... nope, nevermind... wish I could ship you some Montana hop water... have a good friend that is in the brewing, wife makes chili with his... and is amazing. great vid as usual.... love the sites you have.
cheers brotha
I Sirius Lee disappoint head on drinking this beer. I had better hopes for it but it came up short. I enjoy a good Mexican logger but I am not a big fan of corona, it’s decent but it doesn’t do it for me. I would love to try the Montana hop water. I’ve tried some Montana brewed beer and they are tasty. I can only imagine how that homemade chili with his craft beer is awesome. Thanks for watching buddy. Cheers 🍻.
@@ManzanoMan_Adventures Sorry, I was misleading... he has a brewery, Jeremiah Johnson is the name of the beer... my fav is Mountain Man. He also does a brew of the “other university” here in Montana.... it sucks.. but secretly enjoy it... if ya catch my drift.
@@johnk7093 I totally get your drift lol. Man, that does sound like an awesome business to have. A friend of mine brews his own beer and it comes out great. I will have to look him up. Cheers my friend.
Loving these videos. Can't wait to start ATV camping in Florida. Trading my old 2008 Kawasaki Concours 14 for a Honda TRX700xx. It's a sports quad but I'll be modifying it to be a utility ATV instead.
It sounds like you have a plan. I imagine you have some awesome trails out in Florida. The Honda is a nice Utility machine to have that is reliable.
@@ManzanoMan_Adventures Agreed. I could not pass up the opportunity so I went with it. I would have liked the automatic transmission that most utility ATVs have but I can't complain.
Very cool bro! Where did you park your vehicle and unload your atv at? Thx
Hey man. I staged just before the Gilman Tunnels on the left side of the road where the Santa Fe National Forest sign is. These are the coordinates 35°43'44.6"N 106°45'30.3"W on google maps to where I parked.
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment.
@@ManzanoMan_Adventures Thanks bro! I live Albuquerque but usually go atv up in Angel Fire or down by my parents place by Caballo Lake. Ever rode the “Palomas Pass” down there? It’s beautiful. Love your enthusiasm and keep making NM proud.
@@dreday3819 you’re welcome man. I am eventually going to hit all the spots in New Mexico. I haven’t been to Red River or down south. I will have to make it out to both and beyond. I might have to contact you for some information bro. New Mexico is awesome man! It’s a great place for off-roading and camping. Take care and stay healthy brother.
great video, not sure how you get any dislikes haha! Keep up the good work buddy. -Muddy
Thanks buddy. Thumbs down happen LOL and there is nothing we can do, unless positive feedback is provided. Until then, keep riding and enjoy ourselves. That is what it is all about really.
What time of year did you film this great video
This was in November. Thanks for watching.
Great video! If you're interested, we should do one ride together to Rowe Mesa.
Hey buddy. I appreciate you watching and leaving me a comment. I would love to pair up and ride later this year. I am getting ready to have a new born so I will be occupied for a little bit. But let’s do it man.
@@ManzanoMan_Adventures Congrats! I work in Los Lunas, we'll grab lunch soon and plan a trip. My wife doesn't like me doing solo's even though I guide for outfitters here in NM
Thanks bud. Sounds awesome. I live in Bosque Farms and I think that would be cool to meet for some lunch. I understand where your wife is coming from. It took my wife a while to be cool with it. Man that is cool you’re a outfitter in New Mexico. We will keep in contact.
Look like ponderosa Jemez ?
Hey there. I am in the Jemez, but not by Ponderosa. North above Porter Landing off of forest road 376.
@@ManzanoMan_Adventures Awsome videos looked like ponderosa- stay safe out there
Thanks man. I will. I need to check out that side over by Ponderosa. I haven’t explore that side yet.
@@ManzanoMan_Adventures it’s a cool place also good views from up top
Hey ManzanoMan! I am looking to buy a 4 wheeler in the near future and I have narrowed it down to 2 machines. I was wanting to know what you think of your Can am and is it the 570 or the 450 ?
Hey there buddy. I have the 570 and I enjoy my Can Am very much. The ride is comfortable and power is perfect for what I do here in New Mexico. I bet your pumped up to get an ATV.
@@ManzanoMan_Adventures Thank you very much for the info. I may have to wait a while on getting the atv. The dealerships near me are telling me it will be hard for me to get the DPS version I want because of covid I have to pre order like 4 to 6 months in advance .
It has been terrible since Covid hit. There are shortages everywhere
How could someone make arrangements to make some rides with you I am from Texas
At this time I have had a lot of request for rides. What I can do is provide you with some information. Thanks. I appreciate it.
@@ManzanoMan_Adventures I'm going to be retiring in a year and plan on doing some trail riding up a New Mexico area with my wife any information you can give me would be a huge help if you would like to call feel free to do so 713-899-1339 thank you
I would love to share some knowledge with you buddy. If the timing is right I can set a day aside to make a ride happen. This year has gotten busy with requests and I am trying to still make time for my family and rides. I don’t want to sound terrible saying this because I do enjoy helping out folks and friendship. Have a good day.
Ruben you are awesome dude, good stuff buddy, I do a lot of camping in southern Colorado I’ve mentioned it before but was wondering if you have tried sleeping with a couple of those little pocket hard warmers in your sleeping bag on those cool or cold fall nights, I’ve used them and you wouldn’t believe how much they help, you stay safe.
Hey bud. I can’t wait to plan rides in Colorado one day. I have tried hand warmers in my sleeping bag and wow what a difference it makes. It’s my go to trick for cold nights. Plus I have a hot tent setup that I have not used in a year. It’s nice to have a fire going on in your tent. Thanks for watching and have a great day!
@@ManzanoMan_Adventures ya the hot tent would be nice, have you done any camping over in the Chana New Mexico area?
I have not done an camping in that area. There are some routes that I would like to hit perhaps later this year. It’s a great area from there into Colorado.
@@ManzanoMan_Adventures Great, ya I’ll be out that way this summer and maybe we can do something together.
Hey what brand of knife you do have on top of that delicious looking steak? And what types or brands of knives do you recommend? Thinking of getting one for the hubby. The Jemez is my top three favorite spots to go camping, love the videos!
Hey! Thanks for watching and I appreciate your comment.
The knife I am using in the video is a Smittybilt 2831 T.A.S.C. Knife 5.9 in. Stainless Steel T.A.S.C. Knife. It can be found on Amazon. This knife also comes with a nice belt holder. I would also recommend knives made by Kershaw, Smith & Wesson, or Gerber. But you can't go wrong with the Smittybilt, it is a nice multi use knife and he will love it. I love the Jemez area, it is so beautiful and so much to see. Thanks again! Take care and stay healthy.
@@ManzanoMan_Adventures great thank you!!
You’re welcome.
you should give directions to these places
Sounds good. I will begin to give more information in future videos.
