  • I travel into the Santa Fe National forest to explore Mesa Golondrina on a 2 night ATV Camping trip in the New Mexico Backcountry. This region of forest land is on the Colorado Plateau and is home to the Chama River Canyon Wilderness. The views along the rim are quite impressive as the bottom of the Canyon exceeds more than 800ft.

    Hi again Ruben,
I'm sure enjoying watching your videos and kind of vicariously traveling along with you.
I'm not interested in wading through mud bogs or climbing bolder piles. Like you I like those forest service roads. Sure a Jeep can drive the same roads, but it's a different experience out in the open on an ATV. I'd say your style of riding and scenery soaking is exactly what I hope to be doing in the near future.
    Thanks again for your efforts!

    • @ManzanoMan_Adventures
      @ManzanoMan_Adventures  2 роки тому +1

I hear you man. I am not a fan of muddying or hill climbs. I like to just stroll and soak in the scenery. A lot of the roads we have out here are forest roads as you mentioned. Jeeps take them also or the occasional truck as well. But the good thing is some of these roads go so far back that you will often find yourself alone. That is a benefit if you are looking for a quiet and scenery soaking camp trip. I hope you enjoy the new Quad and ride lots. You're welcome man. Take care.

Hey there. I agree we are lucky to have open land to ride ATV’s on. I have heard of other places not having open land to ride on or that trails are closing up. I hope we never experience it.
I will have to look up trails in the UK and watch some videos. I have never thought about getting a 6x6 because the ATV 4x4 has been a great machine to have where I live. I don’t know of anyone owning a 6x6 to ride out here either so I can’t ask them how they like it.

Hello there Manzano friend! Hope you had a great Memorial weekend.
I sure hope you don't end up coming upon a herd (a pride?) of mountain lions, haha.
You're killing it with the edits buddy.
    What a view! VIEWS!!! Dang!
I always tap on the lid of sodas or beer before I open them. Just something I've always done.
Oh here we go, burger time. Ribeye bacon burger. That sounds awesome.
So I have a question, do you have to have some id info on your tent when you camp out there like that? In case authorities have questions? We don't have open camping like that in our state.
I usually always wear gloves when I ride. But for some reason, whenever I'm riding and capturing footage, I always seem to forget them, haha.
Oh here we go with the mountain lions again. Rofl.
You live in a very cool part of the country good sir. The views are badass. Where do you grab your music from? I liked the track you used at 38 minutes.
Hey Ruben, awesome video friend. Good visiting with you again. See you again soon.

Hey buddy. My memorial weekend went well. I hope you also had a great memorial weekend also. I had lots of fun editing this video and laying over music.
As muah as it would be awesome to see some mountain lions, maybe it’s a good thing I haven’t lol.
Out here we don’t have to register any information when we go camping. It’s all primitive camping in nature and so you are pretty much on your own. On trails if you are going backpacking there is a register box to sign, but it’s not mandatory either.
Cooking and camping in the mountains is a great weekend. I love doing this. New Mexico is a diverse state to checkout.
How I find music is I look on UA-cam Music Library. There is a lot of good tracks, sometimes you have to dig though since it isn’t well organized.
I appreciate your support my friend! Take care my friend. See you on the next videos. I have to catch up on who I enjoy watching.

Hey bud, I merged the 2 videos into one video file and renamed it for 2 reasons. The first is some folks don't like seeing broken up videos and the next is I was a bit slow on uploading videos around this time period and so I was trying to satisfy UA-cams algorithm that I am busy lol. I am sorry for the confusion.
But speaking of this place. I will be heading back again. I heard there are a couple slot canyons on the edge of the cliff I want to go and checkout plus a rumor of an old dwelling off some type. So I need to really explore the area again. When I was there I was learning the trails and since then I have mapped out more to see.
