Heck yeah, the Man is back! Thanks for takin us along on your camping/hunting trip! I really need to get up to the mountains and camp for myself. Hopefully next camp trip you'll have a nice juicy turkey leg in each hand! Good luck on your hunt!
Unfortunately no turkey was taking this year. But I had fun getting out there to go look for them. That would have been sweet to have one to cook up. I will be out again soon enough. I don't anticipate any blockage to getting out into wild and filming. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I appreciate that! It does take some work that I enjoy putting the time into making it happen. I have had people reach out for sponsorship on the channel. So far none have been up my alley, but if the right one comes along I will do it. Enjoy your trails man. I bet you can't wait to ride. Thanks for watching.
I just discovered this video, and I enjoyed it a great deal. I have been up on Withington on many trips hunting turkey and deer. Way back when deer tags were still over the counter. I know the road you were on and even think I know your campsite spot. Very cool place. The trails are not crowded there like they are on some mountains. I summer in Red River, NM where ORV's dominate the landscape. Down where you were riding a man can really find his own space. I look forward to watching more of your New Mexico high country videos. After 40 years of back country hunting, I know many of the hidden corners, but there's always a few more to discover. Thanks for spurring the memories!
This was my second time visiting the range and I really enjoyed the country and wildlife I ran across. I can imagine hunting was great and probably still is considering what I saw on my 1st trip up toward grassy lookout. I like that it is a more secluded area giving you lots of space between others who may be up there. Thanks for watching and your comment.
Your video just entered my orbit I'm happy it did! Im glad to see you out and about rolling thru the trails! That dinner looked yummy. I enjoy watching the view thru the handle bars!! Stay healthy and safe 🙏 Toledo 💙
Thanks for watching my friend! I am glad you enjoyed the video and dinner scene out on the trail. I really enjoy doing this. I have been busy with my boy in baseball and the school year. I really appreciate your dedicated support!
Man did I enjoy this place. I have been looking at routes that take you to the top, and man, did it not disappoint. I am loving the Yamaha. I am glad I went with it after my luck with the Can Am. Thanks for watching man.
Hi mate great to see you back 🤙 every time I watch your videos I’m just amazed at the beauty of the mountains, it is one place I would love to go and visit and too bad about not getting a turkey 🦃 but has we know that’s hunting. Thanks for taking us along cheers 👍
2 Thumbs Up! 👍👍 The San Mateo Mtns are awesome! It has a remote feel to it. Lincoln Natl Forest is awesome too! You have to check out the Guadulupe Mtns in Lincoln. I saw the biggest bull elk I've ever seen down there.
Man were the San Mateo's awesome! I have never been to the other forest districts to camp or explore. I will have to get out there and go do it. I think I recall seeing your video in the Guadalupe Mtns when that Bull Elk was on the road. That was a nice place for sure! Thanks brother.
Ruben, .....FANTASTIC VIDEO !!!!!!!!! You really do a good job of recording and editing your videos. You are so pleasant to follow with your aerial footage, helmet footage, and camping setup. It certainly inspires some of us to go camping with our ATVs. :-) I imagine it's been a challenge for you to get out what with working your job, and putting time with you wife and kids, so it's no surprise to me you haven't been putting out frequent videos. One thing for sure, the quality of your videos are very high. I was able to go on a few nice rides earlier in May, but then finally had my right shoulder replacement surgery I've been putting off for years. So that means I won't be on my Outlander till this fall (I think). I did install a Gold Finger left hand finger throttle so that when I do get back on my ATV I don't have to be fully dedicated to right hand (shoulder) riding all the time. Anyway Ruben, I really appreciate your videos and the effort you put into them. I hope your next ATV riding, camping, (and maybe hunting), adventure is an even better experience for you.
I am glad you enjoy the different video perspectives I put into these videos. It's always a thought within me that those who watch these videos are inspired to go and try something new in the outdoors. I can remember my first ATV trip and what I had at the time. The last handful of months were busy with my boy beginning school, baseball, and the extra activities that take place as a working father and husband. My wife is always encouraging me to get out there and explore. I love that she does. Man, what a bummer to hear! I hope you heal well, and it will not be long before you are back out riding and enjoying the outdoors. I have never heard of a gold finger. I will have to look it up to see what it is. I appreciate your support and comments. I will be out camping on the ATV soon, like within the next few weeks. Take care man and I will see you in the next video I make.
Thanks buddy. It has been a while! I plan on getting back into the swing of things. Filming camping and sharing the great outdoors. Thanks for watching!

Great video. Really happy to see you back putting out some content. I've been waiting for you to reappear.See you on your next adventure. Have a great weekend Buddy !
Beautiful trip! Glad to see you back on UA-cam! I have really been itching to get to the San Mateos. I think I’m going to try and head there this fall. There are a ton of places in southwestern NM that would be very interesting to explore on an ATV. Mangas Mountain, Burma Road/Garcia Falls, Eagle Peak, etc. No shortage of exploring in that beautiful and remote country! Loved the video! Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you’re looking for some company on an adventure this year 🤙🏻
The San Mateos is an awesome range! It is so unique, with so many good picture and video opportunities. I do plan on exploring the SW more over the fall and possibly into the winter months to check out some of the areas you mentioned. I have looked into Burma Road and Garcia Falls. I have not come across Eagle Peak yet. I would love to do an overnight trip and have a good cookout over the fire, along with a few beers. My boy is wrapping up baseball and the school year, so I should have a little more flexibility. Thanks for watching my friend!
Great to see you up and out on the trail. Just love the stuff you produce. Such a beautiful place you live. I truly hope that I can get down that way someday. Look forward to your adventure.
You know you got a great look on this come back. I personally like the new look. Atving / Hunting / Camping. The new spin is super cool. But I’ll admit it was the riding that had my interest. In the beginning. Something else has always bug me was your caffeine intake. I may be wrong, but when you begin pouring that bag of coffee in that paper spout. I think to myself wow that’s a lot of coffee for one cup. That’s gotta be a caffeine hi. All joking aside. You look like you’re starting to take good care of yourself to. Well that’s about all the editing I’m going to do now. Besides, it’s hard to improve on good.
Awesome man! Did you thru hike? I have backpacked portions of the CDT in NM, primarily the north portions of the state, but I have also hiked small parts of the CDT in the south. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Hey Buddy ! Great to see ya back on the trail and in the woods for a camping trip ! Such a cool area, so insane you're at 9000= feet in elevation, we don't have that stuff in my neck of the woods. sure was a beautiful lookout spot too. Nice job with the camp and food looked good ! I was wondering what camera are you using to film? do you just use your GoPro for everything? I noticed when you were walking after the hunt, the camera was very steady and I know thats hard to do with a phone or regular camera, I know GoPro has good image stabilization. Grizzly is looking good, hope it's treating you well. All the best to you and the family, stay safe buddy ! Cheers !
Thanks man. It felt great being out again. It was to long and well needed. Camping in high elevation is cool. The air is thinner so drinking a few beers hits different lol, not to mention breathing with less oxygen. I used my IPhone to film. It is the new 15 Pro Max and it has awesome video stability. This was my first time using it in a video and I am impressed. Otherwise I use a Panasonic Lumix G85. But the way the IPhone did I think I will be using this now. I attached an external mic with a deadcat mic cover to help with the wind. Man I am loving the Grizzly! I have no regrets on trading the Can Am. I hope all is well and take care of yourself and your family. We are all well over here, thanks! Cheers 🍻!
Just came across your feed and loved the ride along. Winter is just getting started where I am in BC and looking forward to spring to do some of my own ride camping.. great job thanks!
Glad you enjoyed the ride along, I look forward to making more videos in 2025. I have been slow to get out there and film new videos. I hope winter isn't a long one and spring comes soon. Out here we had one good snow fall that dumped 2ft in the mountains, since then winter has shut off and we have seen a lot of record warmth and dryness. Thanks for watching!
Awesome video Ruben. Glad to see you posting, been too long. Man, I was right near that spot last Thanksgiving but traveled from the West side up the mountain. I'm assuming you came in on the East side and then up the mountain.
Dude I saw that video of you in this area. Man, what a bummer for you to break down on this trail. I am just glad you were able to get into the tower for protection from the elements. That is one thing you experience, We may be in the desert in New Mexico, but man, it does have it's ways of getting cold. I did come up the eastside of the mountains on forest road 330. I want to see the side you traveled on in the fall. Thanks for watching my friend.
There is no campground that I am aware of that is designated for travel trailers. All the camping out here is dry camping with a handful of opportunities. I would say the closest campground would be springtime campground which is farther south. I do now know what the campground has since I have never been there.
I am coming out to Albuquerque for the ballon festival in October and was wondering what trails you recommend for a day ride. I am bring my 4 wheeler with me. Any help in trails and permits I will need is appreciated.
I am not aware of any permits you will need other than your plates and registration. Some research will be needed to confirm this. I have never road these trails, but I know there is an area called Cedro Peak within an hour of Albuquerque, you can find information here at this website www.alltrails.com/trail/us/new-mexico/cedro-peak-trail. There are other areas to ride but travel would be at least a 4 hr round trip drive just to get there. Popular riding is out in the Jemez north of Albuquerque. I would be happy to help narrow something down.
@@ManzanoMan_Adventures Thank you for your response. I have done a lot of riding in the north and want to know more of the area. Cedro peak trails looks awesome. I may have to do this trip when I’m there. I am there for a short time and want to be able to not only have a great ride but also great some great pictures. There is a possibility that I may consider moving to the area in the future and want to know about all the great spots. Until then I’ll keep watching your videos. Thank you….
That is the way I usually hunt them down. I needed another night out so I could do a little scouting to locate where they roost. I’ve been hunting and heard them get noisy on the roost right at dark making it easy to sneak in early morning. The thanks for watching.
Working on it. This was my 1st video filming with a new setup and I had difficulties bringing out clear audio. Unfortunately my latest video that will drop later this week is experiencing similar issues. But i began testing a new mic set up that is more compatible to my camera set up so I look forward to rolling that out.

Cheers 🍻!
Reuben is back. Great to see you
Hey, thanks man. I am already planing another trip in a couple weeks. It won't be long for a video to drop.
Really great video man. These are so relaxing to watch and always an adventure
Glad you like them! Thanks for watching man.
real cool beans man.
Thanks for watching man.
Welcome back again. Great video. Post more man. Cmon now.
Thanks man. I will be getting out later this week. I would like to get into a more consistent routine and schedule of videos I upload.
Great adventure bro thx for posting cheers
Glad you enjoyed it, cheers!
good to see you out and about, we are still getting snow so it will be a bit longer here in Colorado before we are out there!
I heard about all the snow you guys continue to get. I am sure you guys can’t wait to get out there. Thanks for watching man, glad to be out.
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching!
Great video man. I live in Bosque Farms nm. I hope you keep up with these vids. Thank You.
Thanks for watching my videos bro. I appreciate it.
Thanks for the video. Are there any campgrounds near there you can stay with a travel trailer and ride out into the trails?
There is no campground that I am aware of that is designated for travel trailers. All the camping out here is dry camping with a handful of opportunities. I would say the closest campground would be springtime campground which is farther south. I do now know what the campground has since I have never been there.
Can you do a review of your new Yamaha after having it for a while? The pros and cons and how it compares to the other brands you have had?!
Not a bad video idea. I will have to get one put together on my thoughts. Thanks for watching!
✌
Thank you….
If you can figure out where those Turkeys are roosting just be there in the morning when they fly down.
That is the way I usually hunt them down. I needed another night out so I could do a little scouting to locate where they roost. I’ve been hunting and heard them get noisy on the roost right at dark making it easy to sneak in early morning. The thanks for watching.
Dude, fix your volume. Got to turn tv volume way up to hear you compared to other channels. Love the content, but please fix your audio.
Working on it. This was my 1st video filming with a new setup and I had difficulties bringing out clear audio. Unfortunately my latest video that will drop later this week is experiencing similar issues. But i began testing a new mic set up that is more compatible to my camera set up so I look forward to rolling that out.
Nice trip ! I wanna tag a long man !
they are fun trips man.
