Your videos are very inspiring, I recently just shaved all my hair off and starting freeform locs from nothing. I am getting to the point of I am tired of mistreating my hair and spending money on unnecessary products that are harming my body. The quarantine and your videos are helping me really love myself without trying to cover up any insecurities that I may have. It’s not easy and it’s definitely a day by day thing but I am excited about this journey. I have stopped fingernail and toenail polish and I am learning to love myself. I am trying to leave buying clothes alone and just be thankful for what I have it’s not easy but I am trying and your videos are helping. I am also another black woman trying to incorporate a better diet to be a better role model for my children. Like I said I am taking it one day at a time. Thank you for your videos Queen and please keep sharing all this amazing information. ❤️❤️❤️

I just restarted my lock journey and I have very thin hair. My hairstylist made them kinda thick this time with only 20 to 24 dreads because we already know they gone thin out. I do worry about the spacing between each loc so I’m definitely going the semi free form rout cause on my first journey I would constantly get re-twists and I actually was thinning so much in the front of my head that I had to cut my dreads off.

Peace sister glad I found this video, I just did my 2 strand starter locks this week and I have the same fine hair type as yours and I wanted that semi free form look as well. My hair is curly/fine with no density at all, so it was hard to find videos of women like you in your mature loc stage. All I see is scalp lol and the finer parts cannot stay twisted at all but im excited for the journey. With our hair type, do you remember how long it took to actually start locking?

My hair wants to be left alone also. If you can, find yourself some hats wiith spf protection to protect your scalp and prevent thinning. Although I haven't found any studies, I do believe the sun can damage our hair follicles. I have to wear spf hats in the sun otherwise, the scalp on the top of my head, where the suns rays are direct, burns, itches. I have been told by a dermatologist that I have sun sensitive skin.

I semi freeformed my Locs for 1 whole year was the best decision I made to strengthen my Locs. I love making my natural products. I recently made some natural rose 🌹 water and my Locs loves it. I would love to grow Aloe Vera as I love it for moisture. Do you have some in your garden? Aloe is the best for my Locs. 😊

I stopped using shampoos for a long while, then added one back. A good quality all natural shampoo. It feels totally different, as it does not strip my hair, which has resulted in the past in my hair feeling dry and stripped. I posted an update on my use of shampoo. Hope you find it helpful. :)
