Everything this Dude is doing and saying is absolutely right, When the Burger is about 3/4 of an inch thick, they cook perfectly, he knows how long to cook it and probably slings an amazing Burger.
Absolutely! In and Out turns into a handful of goo by the time you finish it, not so with a Smashburger! thanks for viewing our channel and please stay in touch
I flip mine with an Asian ( Japanese or Chinese) angled wooden handle cleaver for meats, veggies, & even bones, lifts right off the grill & is so sharp you could shave with one &, holds its razor sharp edge, a big plus
Never had one, they look good though, i live in the southeast and we do not have smashburgers. I know it is the name of the burger, but I am not even sure if that is the name of the restaurant. I wonder why they do not have places here, they look better than mcdonalds, wendys, and burger king.
hands down better than 5 guys, the habit, islands, in n out, or any diner burger...it's the BEST and the only time i have felt sublime while eating a burger.
SmashBurger is good. Not great. Wouldn’t compare it to 5 guys as 5 guys is a diff kind of burger. Wasn’t impressed with the smash sauce or the bun. Meat tasted great and price was right. When it comes to the best “smash” style burger, shake shack takes it. Shake shack predates smash burger by a few years and was smashing burgers before smash burger was.
@@psm1167 Yes, and a restaurant chain in the midwest, Culvers, was doing it before Shack Shack. Shake Shack first opened in 2001. Culvers first opened in 1984.
I've become obsessed with this place!!! Been trying to find white truffle mayo everywhere with no luck so it just leaves me no choice but to come here.
In-N-Out is so overrated. Culver's, Whataburger, and Shake Shack are all better than In-N-Out. And there's a regional chain here better than all of them (Tops in NW FL).
Culvers has a smashing technique and their burgers are fantastic!
I just had one for the first time a few weeks ago - was awesome. Honestly blew away Five Guys. So nice to see the CEO have a passion for burgers also.
Just tried my first smash burger, got a original double. It’s extremely good

better than 5 guys burgers but those fries need work
Best burger ever
I think Smashburger may be better than In and Out. What do you think?

While I like In’N’Out. Smashburger is better
Here in New Zealand Carl’s Jr has a yellow arrow like In n Out burgers... What’s the difference between them?
...had one the other day. Best burger ever and that is no kidding!!!!!

Save me a little piece, please. 🤗
I am ordering my burger smashing kit off Amazon. :)
Of the chain burgers I like Smashburgers the best. In’N’Out is in second place. For a sit down restaurant chain I like Red Robin
I'm in Dallas, I have to make my own. Never had one... Looks exactly like the way I do mine... Minus the "MSG" though.
On Keto, so ditched the bun. Great burger at Ilani Casino. 90% as good as the fancy restaurants there for 1/3rd the price.
What is the temperature of your griddle?
Pretty hot but not as hot as you can get it. I would preheat your pan on medium high for a few minutes and you should be good
Has to be 400F in order to sear the meat. Most home griddles don't get that hot.
You can sear at home easily if you can smoke oil then yes you can. Ps im a chef
Im too lazy to make a patty so i just smash it on the grill...no biggie
MSG is the key.
Myself haven't tried one yet. For me I love the double cheeseburger from Bravo Burgers.

Smashburger is the name of the restaurant and you are correct, they are much better than other fast food restaurants!
@@travel-planners-radio-tv thank you for the info my friend
Steve Logan hm that’s weird I also live in the south east and I have one but there’s only one around me and it’s in the downtown area.
They have them in south Florida. They're usually near open-air malls.
cool hair bro .. haha
How hot is the grill?
Good question, but I really don't know, sorry.
Where could I find a press like the one he uses to press his burgers...
Just use a trowel for doing cement work.
@@ares193 Actually the lip shapes the burger into the traditional round shape. You don't actually want steam in a smashburger.
Blackstone grill sells them on Walmart and eBay etc
I use a plate with parchment on the bottom
I made my own, works a treat 👍
My favorite along with Habit Burger ( west coast)

shake shack is pretty good

Nothing beats flame grilled
Man you could not be more wrong. All flavor is lost on a direct grill.
Almost all flame grilled burgers have added smoke flavor.

Make it
I'm having smash burger for dinner tonight 🍔 🍟😁😁😁
Had a burger just like yours in Muskegon, Mi in the late fifties and the early sixties. Ohhhh but your is round wow.
Overpriced burger....yes it's delicious just not worth the price....if I'm a pay that much for a burger it'd be red Robin only
Just had one and though it is a really good burger. Still doesn't beat in n out. In n out are still the ones to beat in my Opinion.
Steak and shake beats the hell out of in and out.
