I hope they reduce their reliance on randomly generated content, people didn't like Skyrim because of their radiant quests lmao, they loved the handcrafted world space and seemingly connected story (though skyrim was weaker than all their previous games in dialogue trees). Yet they added more in 4, got the same feed back (Preston was not a positive meme), then they quadrupled it in starfield and are still scratching their heads about it. Shocking right? People like hand built locations and narrative...
@@Chedring I think starfield was hated that much for this reason. Because if story was the reason then both Skyrim and fallout 4 had bad stories but starfield failed because of the randomly generated maps and quests.
drivable vehicles is def one of them, especially since starfield has space ships/rovers that you can control. but i want it to be like mad max, where npcs such as raiders have their own vehicles, and can attack you with their vehicles. in starfield, only the player can drive which sucks
Dream: Good writing. Silent protagonist. Serious, consistent tone. Reputation system, not Karma where some omniscient force smacks you over the head for being a naughty boy. I would like features from fallout 2 coming back, like actively using skills in the world, like using picklock to CLOSE a door (is actually really iseful in big fights) or using medicine to diagnose an npc or heal yourself a bit, usi g attacks to destry doors, or give items to npcs to see the reactions Also the trade system in fo76 is kinda lame, would be cool to have the fo1/fo2 back, when is actual 'trade' anf not a 'store' Or even use mechanics/repair to repair weapons on the go or modify them. Also using other skills actively only, like perception/traps to detect traps or hidden stuff, not rely only on auto detect from the game unless is "main story related"
I agree with all your points (expect waiting, i feel like 4's requirements to waiting make sense) I love how the show handled its story by playing with the idea of the naive vault dweller and her development, i would have loved to see something similar be done in the next Fallout (make your dialogue choices more naive at the start of the game and slowly make them more threatening and brutal. Its hard to make in an open world game i know, but linking different dialogue options to character level and speech skill could work with perk earning system like Modern Wolfenstein or Skyrim to unlock speech perks like terrifying presence by having high speech and strength and do the same for gameplay perks)
@@writerlairchannel2636 that would be cool. I also liked the show despite its faults. I think if the story was a little self contained instead of being this giant Marvel movie type thing, then it would have been better.
@LostMyPowerArmor To be honest i didn't quite get what Marvel type storytelling you meant🤷♂️, the story is pretty self-contained with 3 connected storylines
@@LostMyPowerArmor I get what you meant now, thanks for clarifying, although i disagree (the high stakes was the thing that kept 3 storylines together and constantly moving forward). (This is going to be super long, sorry😊) I loved the show because of how it portrayed Lucy (we seen and played as vault dweller in the franchise, but seeing a different - realistic and emotional perspective on them was awesome as a Fallout fan.) Maximus is a little less interesting but a lot more entertaining character (not really a comic relief though), he is serious but can do some crazy things at times (kinda like Sokka in Atla - character first, comedy second), which showcases Brotherhood's approach to followers (and their education) and makes perfect sense. I was expecting for the Ghoul's origin story be revealed post-war, but they focused on pre-war him (this scenes honestly were hasn't as fun as others, but they had their own intriguing spin from time to time), post-war Ghoul played perfectly to Lucy's character. Concluding: Lucy was the best character in the show, and pre-war Ghoul was the weakest, but still good. Humor was the right amount of Fallout weird (although the pregnant lady were pushing the limits sometimes). Action was awesome, no exception. Honestly i think that show's story is better than any Bethesda Fallout (although games and shows are different things), and can be placed on the second place after New Vegas and should be the inspiration for future Fallout games (great example of portraying character emotions and complicated chemistry)

After 4, 76 and the terrible show, yes its terrible, if you dissagree you have not played the old games which they destroyed out of spite in the show.....well after all of that i dont want another fallout unless its made by the developers of colony ship, they are by far the only ones who can do it right as obsidian is not the same company as they were when they made new vegas, less than half the people who worked on new vegas worked on the outer worlds.
