Well, there's a Turbo S with 80 more HP that's different by one component. With electric cars, the power you get is limited by cooling. But in drag racing, you can drive now and cool later. I'm not saying the dude could do that himself, but look at Rimac: that company started with the motor from a milk float beating proper drag cars, because the owner could't afford to replace the V8 he blew up. Now they make 2000 HP electric cars that go sub two to 60.

@@julshall8604 So modern gas engines are braindead, dont have any TC? This C8 has 750hp to the back wheels and doesnt spin tires. There is almost as much "thinkering" going on as in the Taycan. And: the Taycan has 80hp less while weighing ~700kg more. This is HELL of a difference. The fact that the Taycan held up with the C8 on 1000ft makes the C8 look kinda slow.

Instead of the weight offsetting the balance of the car, the Porsche has dual motors on the bottom of the car which power it alongside the battery. To the weight is evenly distributed at the bottom of the car. The 0 lag component plays a huge factor no matter the weight of the car too alongside AWD for a ridiculous launch. Digitalized speed in all is just a different beast. Even if they added another 600lbs to the Porsche it wouldn't change anything. Everything takes more time in a combustion motor.

(basically not even that because she has launch control and starts with a good amount of pressure) Dont forget that the C8 has dual clutch gearbox so the force fit isnt lost because the shifts are lightning fast. Wastegates almost dont open so the turbos will instantly make boost again after the shift. "digitalized speed" is IMO just a buzzword for trying to hide from facts which are that the Taycan has almost 50% more weight and 80hp less power. You cant lever out the laws of mechanics. The more weight an object has, the more force I need to get the same acceleration. This is true for EVERY object we know so far ... maybe not for massless objects, but this is not what we are talking about. (Even thought photons (which dont have a mass and are emitted as light) still have energy even dough energy depends on mass and velocity.)

I really like Emelia. Impressive in so many ways. Loved watching her evolve the Corvette (fires and all). Maybe she can return with her own electric, perhaps a Tesla plaid, plaid S, or the 2nd gen roadster. Taycan will not win that in any way. 1100 HP on the Plaid S. quarter mile in the high 8's. Torque not known yet, but given other of their cars probably higher than hp. I'd love to see her get one and then figure out a way to mod it.

@@julshall8604 So modern gas engines are braindead, dont have any TC? This C8 has 750hp to the back wheels and doesnt spin tires. There is almost as much "thinkering" going on as in the Taycan. And: the Taycan has 80hp less while weighing ~700kg more. This is HELL of a difference. The fact that the Taycan held up with the C8 on 1000ft makes the C8 look kinda slow.

Instead of the weight offsetting the balance of the car, the Porsche has dual motors on the bottom of the car which power it alongside the battery. To the weight is evenly distributed at the bottom of the car. The 0 lag component plays a huge factor no matter the weight of the car too alongside AWD for a ridiculous launch. Digitalized speed in all is just a different beast. Even if they added another 600lbs to the Porsche it wouldn't change anything. Everything takes more time in a combustion motor.

(basically not even that because she has launch control and starts with a good amount of pressure) Dont forget that the C8 has dual clutch gearbox so the force fit isnt lost because the shifts are lightning fast. Wastegates almost dont open so the turbos will instantly make boost again after the shift.
"digitalized speed" is IMO just a buzzword for trying to hide from facts which are that the Taycan has almost 50% more weight and 80hp less power. You cant lever out the laws of mechanics. The more weight an object has, the more force I need to get the same acceleration. This is true for EVERY object we know so far ... maybe not for massless objects, but this is not what we are talking about. (Even thought photons (which dont have a mass and are emitted as light) still have energy even dough energy depends on mass and velocity.)

I really like Emelia. Impressive in so many ways. Loved watching her evolve the Corvette (fires and all). Maybe she can return with her own electric, perhaps a Tesla plaid, plaid S, or the 2nd gen roadster. Taycan will not win that in any way. 1100 HP on the Plaid S. quarter mile in the high 8's. Torque not known yet, but given other of their cars probably higher than hp. I'd love to see her get one and then figure out a way to mod it.
