Dodge Caravan won't start but has power! (No Crank, No Start) - Easy Fix!

- If you have a Dodge Caravan, or Chrysler Town and Country, or Voyager and it won't start (no crank, no start) it is possible you need a new ignition switch. These vans are known to have ignition switch problems - so before you assume you need a battery or a starter, watch this quick 5 min video to help you figure out if you have the same problem and how you can fix it! Absolute best mechanic video I've seen. I literally diagnosed my Dodge Caravan in 1 minute after watching the first 30 seconds of this video. IT WAS THE IGNITION SWITCH! I DISCOVERED IT JUST BY WIGGLING THE KEY JUST LIKE HE SHOWED IN THE VIDEO!

Going thru this now with a 2010 grand caravan sxt. Very intermittent...2 garages havent figured it out yet. Has the key fob, not a key. Already put in a new starter, thinking that was the problem....guess I'll go for the switch!

I just tried with my 2010 caravan i turn left to right the keyfob faster until i heard the crank then i turn the keyfob to start and right away it running. Thanks

My vehicle (2003 DODGE CARAVAN SE) is giving me 3 codes (P1684) (P0201) and (P0420).
Are you able to please show me on video how to apply these 3 diagnostic tests for code (P0201)?
1st Diagnostic Test
Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the fuel injector harness connector.
Remove the ASD relay from the IPM.
Turn the ignition on.
Jumper the fused B+ circuit and the ASD relay output circuit in the IPM.
Using a 12-volt test light connected to ground, probe the (K342) ASD relay output circuit.
Does the test light blink/flicker brightly?
If yes, go to next step.
If no, repair the open in the (K342) ASD relay output circuit.
2nd Diagnostic Test
Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Fuel Injector harness connector.
Disconnect the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) harness connector.
Measure the resistance of the fuel injector driver circuit between the fuel injector harness connector and the PCM harness connector.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?
If yes, go to next step. If no repair the open in the fuel injector driver circuit.
3rd Diagnostic Test
Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the fuel injector harness connector.
Disconnect the PCM harness connector.
Measure the resistance between ground and the fuel injector driver circuit in the fuel injector harness connector.
Is the resistance below 100 k/ohms?
If yes, repair the short to ground in the fuel injector driver circuit.
If no, go to next step.
I hit a rock and it put a hole in my oil pan , all the oil leaked out now it will crank but no start , I am going to replace the oil pan & gasket , does no oil and a hole in the pan cause it not to start ?
no oil will cause severe engine damage which in turn would cause it not to start..
@@MakeItEasyMechanic yeah the mechanic was saying something about the head gasket being blown $ talking about replacing the spark plugs and other shot maybe true but seems a little much
