The saga of the red vans front disc brakes continues. In this video I disassemble the front brakes and find some very tired backing plates.

Hi Rob! Those small bolts that you removed from the hub aren't all that important, in so far as they only hold the disc on when the wheel isn't on. The wheel studs come through the inner part of the disc, so once your wheel is on, the disc ain't going nowhere. I tend to only put a light torque on them because they're a real bugger to remove if (and usually when) they seize in place. Another great video by the way!

Ah thanks for the tip! Yeah I just ended up doing them hand tight, its very easy to wreck the inside of those hex bolts.
