Make sure to research which programs you study with. I have heard of some programs have relocated kids and put many Asian students in areas that had high hate crime rates. We shouldn’t support a program that supports anti-Asian hate. Please stop Asian hate! So please make sure to research before you go!

@@UrFavSquid hi! i probably did❤️ most od the questions were about my motivation, why i chose japan, what i do in my freetime, what kind of person i am and so on
Thanks very much, this really helped. In 2024 I’m applying to ASSE since I’d like to go to Korea. But I’m applying for a scholarship since my family can’t afford the price. So definitely going to be a lot of competition. (They only except 1 person per year in each area) Wish me luck!

My interview for YES program is in 12 jan i hope i do well in it. You were so helpful for me. I want to thank you for your effort and wish me good luck!!
Hi Mohammad! I'm happy to hear the video was helpful. You're going to great this week - just focus on communicating how adaptable you are, use brief examples to sell your best qualities, remember that the interviewers want you to succeed, and have fun. Wishing you all the best and good luck - Austin.
@@almostaustin It went really well! I was asked a lot of situational questions and i think i did alright! Now i’m stressed about the host family letter LOL
Thank you so much for hosting! My host family really made my year special, so I have a lot of appreciation for people who are willing to take students.

It's kinda sad really, I qualify for the YES program almost completely, the only crack being having 3 marks less in math, which throws me off to an F grade. Other than that, I have a decent gpa that fits with the eligibity criteria

Hey Claire! I certainly hope they won't all just stare at you! haha. So in my experience, the worst they will do is carefully observe while you respond to questions or situations. I completely understanding feeling nervous... but don't worry, the actual interview won't be scary at all. The good news is, which you should keep in mind, is that the people running the interview WANT you to succeed. It's not cut-throat or super critical like it would be in an interview for a competitive career position, this is a student exchange program and that is often reflected in the attitude of the interviewers.
Awesome:) I’ll be applying for the 2021-2022 year after I graduate from highschool. I really hope I get accepted, it seems like such a life changing experience that I would love to be apart of.

Hey! I am from Pakistan. I want to apply for kakehashi exchange program for japan. So can you please help me out with one thing that is how do i test my english level. And how good one should be good at English for that project. I shall be grateful if you could answer my question and tell more abt that exchange program. Also what scholarship/exchange programs did you go for? CAN you tell some exchange programs for students above 13 or maybe 14. I shall be thankful if u could tell that too...
hey! actually if you are from pakistan i am guessing u have heard abt the cool, yes program, but if you haven't, then i highly recommend you apply for it next year since this years applications are closed.
Hey! Hmmm... Everyone has a diffirent perspective, so I obviously can't speak on behalf of the opinions of the specific people you will be interviewing with. However, the people I have worked with in the past regarding interviews, their concern has been with the effort put in to dress professional and what that effort represents, not necessarily what style was being worn. I hope it's not the case, but there is always the risk someone on the panel is less progressive when it comes to traditional gender stereotypes, so that could be a consideration if you're on the fence about a decision. Either way, best of luck!
