Thanks y'all. I'll run out and get 7mm, 8mm and of course 4 or 5 10mm sockets... cause y'know we always lose those ! Really appreciate this vid, have to help out a senior couple this weekend.
Pick up a battery tinder to plug in the inside and it won’t lose all the settings inside the car. Dealers charge 50.00 just to put a battery in. Motorcraft batteries are actually a pretty good deal. They are many times less expensive than aftermarket ones and they come with a 3yr full replacement warranty!
This looked WAY easier than my 2017 lincoln reserve with the 3.0l twin turbo. I have way more wires and bundles jammed in the front of the battery that make it hard to get at the TWO bolts holding the battery down. I had to remove the entire air filter housing completely, and in order to do that, I had to remove the entire panel cover that goes across the whole front of the car under the hood.
Same story here. It took 30 minutes to get the battery out and I had to take the entire air filter housing out plus a coupe of pieces that I don't even know what they are.
Wish they would of just put in the trunk! I have had mine tested twice an both times told it was fine an this is the 3rd time it has let me down.... on Christmas morning, but after watching this i realize they just dont want to change it.
Is it possible that they changed my battery and the new one from Motormaster is now dead again just after 4 months? Should I forget to buy it from Lincoln and just get a stronger battery somewhere else? They told me the battery died because there is a lot of things going on in that car that drains the battery. also have a 2018 lincoln continental
Unfortunately, it sounds like you have a drain on the battery. Something as stupid as a bad module is staying active, and it won't allow the car to go into deep sleep.😮 I found a couple of battery drain videos for myself and this car.ua-cam.com/video/N2DumYrufH4/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/jq4ZCJH6JW8/v-deo.html
Wow, taking Off the air filter cap really makes a difference. Soo easy.

Yup I’m probably just going to pay someone to do it. That sounds like a pain

Any need to reset electronics w/in the Continental after changing the main battery?
If needed...Start the car. Let run for a minute. Turn off the car. Remove positive cable for 20 minutes. Then restart.
