More than likely yes. Depending on the device your service should be almost identical except if you don't have a Wide Band capable device which is more about speed not coverage.
No, because not all of their towers are shared with Visible, so generally Verizon will have better coverage. You should still check the quality of reception for yourself because carriers' coverage maps are only an approximation.
Hi thank you for the video, I’m thinking of switching before my service ends, do you still have and recommend Visible today? Also would it be easy for me to switch between plans? I would like the $30 plan but could I switch to the $45 plan if I go to mexico for a few days than switch back to $30 when I get back? Thank you
Of course! Yep, we're currently still with Visible and would recommend them, especially if Verizon works well in your area. Great question! We've not personally done that, but from reading on their site, you can upgrade to the higher plan at any time. Moving down is possible as well, but occurs at your next billing cycle.

I dont see anywhere to put a sim card in if I opt for the physical sim card. Do you have any idea on this and, If I use the link to Visible you have , does it help you out?
Great question. We did a quick search and there appears to be a small hole at the top of the phone where it would go. Visible will send you a small ejector tool that you'll use there to replace the card. It's fairly simple to do, but there are videos out there that walk you through doing it. Yes, we receive a small commission if you sign up. 🙂
You don't get same coverage as Verizon. Only certain towers are provisioned for Visible use. I live in Hampton Roads and I get 1 or 2 bars when there are at least 20 towers in this area. My neighbor on Verizon has 4 bars signal. I upgraded to Visible+ Premium and my download speeds are less than 4Mbps. Switching to Visible was the worst mistake I made when it comes to cell phones. Low price means nothing if you have bad service.
@@Breakerisaac Neighbor has a budget phone from Verizon -- Moto g LTE. I purchased a new Samsung A15 5g when I signed up for Visible. If you are a visible party pay legacy member, such as my son and I are, make sure you bring your own personal lube. The deadline to choose or have your service switch off is April 18th. Contrary to the promises they made to us when we signed up.
Great review, thanks! I'm about to sign up for Visible. You mentioned that when you used the esim method, it timed out. What did you mean and how do you think that can be avoided?
Hi Troy. We first tried to get the sim card delivered electronically and for whatever reason it just spun and spun and eventually told us it couldn't be delivered that way. I'm not sure why. It maybe could have been because we were porting a number. Either way, if you want that option, go ahead and try it. If it doesn't work out, they do get physical sim cards sent very quickly.
Visible wireless is by far the best value. A similar plan with Google Fi would cost you like 75 or $80 a month after tax, Only $35 a month with visible wireless. And contrary to what a lot of people believe You still need to have the 4G LTE data to get the best data coverage. T mobile has way more data dead spots than Verizon because of the inferior LTE of t mobile.
I live in Myrtle Beach South Carolina I'm in a blue rated zone, but yet I only get 3 MB why? I have a Moto g power 2022 phone. Is that why I'm getting such slow speeds?
Does anyone know if you can just switch your sim to change devices or do you have to call the carrier ? With Verizon you normally have to call in for them to attach it to the account. I need a second device for work but need the ability to change phones often as the work I do is with Samsung. I change my devices alot . I have Verizon for my personal line and love the coverage and speeds.. But to add a line to that and have to constantly call to switch phones is a no go. Reason Im looking for a prepaid plan
There was an issue ~ a month or two ago where they had a known issue of texts not being received. We had to chat in with their support, who then sent some kind of signal to our phone, and then we had to restart our devices. That fixed it. Beyond that, we've not encountered any issues with texts.
vzw & visible do not consider visible as a mvno, and have actively worked to correct news sources that refer to them as that. Visible is wholly owned by Verizon.
I actually was going to say the same thing. Working in the wireless industry for over 15 years and now working on the prepaid side of things I know this to be 100%. They actually promote this more than their own prepaid Verizon service.

In my opinion there is no cell phone carrier that has the best service, coverage, speed, etc. It ALL DEPENDS on where you live in the U.S.A. Best thing to do is compare the coverage maps of Verizon, T-Mobile and ATT in your state and make your decision on who gives you the best coverage in your state. Mint Mobile runs off of T-Mobile towers and their coverage in my state of Arkansas is great. Also T-Mobile has the best 5G network in the country so Mint Mobile fits me very well AND their price plans are super cheap compared to all the other carriers. I love my MINT MOBILE!!!!!
@@billtinnell2206 That's definitely a fair point. Much of it does come down to where you live and the service there. We've tried services on AT&T in Omaha and haven't had good service. Verizon ones though have worked great.

You guys keep saying mega BYTES in the video, while the speed tests you show are reporting Mbps. There is a difference between Mbps and MBps. Mbps is mega bits per second, and MBps is mega bytes per second. One megabyte is 8 megabits. If internet speed is 80mbps download, it is 10 mega bytes per second. This means you can download a 10 megabyte file in one second. Your description is misleading by not understanding this difference - because people need to know that data speeds are measure in mega bits not mega bytes, and mega bytes are how local data storage size is measured. You must divide a internet speed measured in Mbps (for instance 80Mbps) by 8 to get the actual Mega Bytes per second rating. Hope this helps other users.
US mobile allows full 4k streaming through the hotspot with 50 GB premium data. However I'm not sure what happens if I go over 50gb. They also have the domestic roaming.
Its unlimited for $30 man and they are the only ones who allow unlimited data in the whole industry at a respectable 5mbs. Look into tethering workarounds like PDAnet and remember to be grateful man.
Great review overall, but I wanted to point out that the speeds are Mbps (Megabits per second) not MB (Megabytes). When discussing network speeds we talk in Kilobits, Megabits, and Gigabits per second. Kilobytes, Megabytes, Gigabytes, etc are storage capacity.

Yes, that would be possible. You just might run into issues if you're a heavy streamer of video. Beyond that, you should be just fine.
If you are a visible party pay legacy member, such as my son and I are, make sure you bring your own personal lube. The deadline to choose or have your service switch off is April 18th. Contrary to the promises they made to us when we signed up.
Thank you very much for this video. You were very detailed.
Of course! Always happy to help. 🙂
@@FrugalRulesNew Apple phone don't have physical sims. I only have esims. If esims don't work on visible then I'll have to go to another plan
@@adrianelias2365I just did it and it worked flawlessly
Can I call international?
Yes you can. They say you can call to 30+ countries and text to 200+. They have an up to date list on their site.
What is the best family plan?
Wow didn't know you guys were based in Omaha. I live in the Benson area.
Ha, small world. 🙂 Yep, we're in West O.
The Verizon network is the best service for rural areas (cdma)
Does visible still have texting issues? I had it in 2021 and I wouldn't receive sms texts during the day.
There was an issue ~ a month or two ago where they had a known issue of texts not being received. We had to chat in with their support, who then sent some kind of signal to our phone, and then we had to restart our devices. That fixed it. Beyond that, we've not encountered any issues with texts.
@@FrugalRules thanks! I'll give it another shot, half off my phone bill for unlimited is too to pass up :)
@@Jcruz388 Of course. Happy to help! 🙂
vzw & visible do not consider visible as a mvno, and have actively worked to correct news sources that refer to them as that. Visible is wholly owned by Verizon.
I actually was going to say the same thing. Working in the wireless industry for over 15 years and now working on the prepaid side of things I know this to be 100%. They actually promote this more than their own prepaid Verizon service.
So it’s essentially just Verizon prepaid?
@@HaloHighlightz ya sort of. I waited several months worrying about switching from my post pay $100/m plan, but since I have it’s almost no chance minus no phone support.. but I’ll deal with chat support for paying 1/4th the price.
My friend/referral code is: 3PJDTJQ which gives you and me $20.. if you want to test it out. Been very happy with it, lemme know if you have any other questions :)
I love my Mint Mobile.
That is a good service!
I am thinking about signing w mint mobile. So you obviously like it. Is it good fast coverage? Thanks
We went forward with requesting the updated sim cards. Visible botched my spouses setup with the new sim not allowing her Apple Watch to have service. Then Visible attempted to fix it remotely, how ever they discounted the phone and she as been with service for days. Supposedly they are still working the issue, but will only say it has been escalated. Looking for another carrier option now.
Yes, you're correct, we misspoke. We know the difference. 🙂 It was actually only three instances, but thanks for pointing it out.
I like visible it's awesome
How do I call visible billing dept
I just wish they would increase the hotspot speed from 5 mbps to 10.
Verizon, T mobile and AT&T combined don't cover 99% lol them lies are ridiculous.
@@S.T33L US mobile allows 4k streaming through the hotspot or phone. 100gb premium data. 50 GB premium data on hotspot. $45.
My current phone isn't compatible. Stinks might have to buy a new one :(
Great review overall, but I wanted to point out that the speeds are Mbps (Megabits per second) not MB (Megabytes). When discussing network speeds we talk in Kilobits, Megabits, and Gigabits per second. Kilobytes, Megabytes, Gigabytes, etc are storage capacity.
Thanks for pointing that out. As we pointed out to several other commenters, we simply misspoke. 🙂
Sorry but visible is 🗑️. I had high hope since they are behind Verizon which I switched from but I couldn’t use my phone anywhere!!!! I mean not even for emergencies !!! I just switched went somewhere and phone had no service at all not even for emergencies that took the cake for me. It was working in and out at my house which I was able to deal with but that other incident was it for me. I don’t care how low the price is unable to use the phone even for emergency use is a big NO NO !
Make sure you always check to see if the coverage is good in your area before you sign up for any cell plan. I’ve had visible for 5 months now and it’s great and reliable here in NYC.
@@mysticaljp1 still defeats the point of a reliable cell phone! I don’t expect it to only have coverage at my house or neighborhood!!
Never had a problem tbh
lol do u live in north korea ??? 😂😂😂
Wish you knew. In Anaheim ca Verizon is down for the last 2 days
Visible is awful. Slow data, texts not going out, terrible customer service. Just wait until you try to leave Visible then things really get bad. They hold your number hostage, been a week for me and they offer no info why? If you switch, be prepared to file reports w FCC and BBB.
Ever watched a video and come to the conclusion that the poster or posters were paid agents for the service "reviewed"??
Nope, just like every other service/device we review, we pay for it and use it on our own. We don't accept sponsorships.
All good until you find out visible plus still slows your speeds vs Verizon postpaid
EMAW!!!!!!!!!
❓ has anybody that has been on the old party pay plan for $25 a month switched because visible has been sending them messages to do that recently. If you have switched have you noticed better data?
Just upgraded mine today.. a little faster data and the new sim still works with my old phone and I actually get 5g now on my old phone before I was only getting 4G. Bought a pixel for nothing. But love the pixel glad I bought it (from Google)
Not a Fan. Stole my Trade In phone. Had to get FCC, FTC, and BBB involved.
Hmm, sorry to hear that. That's no good.
@@FrugalRules Thank you for Understanding.
@@ED-sx8xq Of course! We've not had an experience like that with them. But, no company is perfect, and can only imagine that your experience was incredibly frustrating.

do you know if anyones reviewed the interrnet plan by visible yet?
I'll stick with Verizon, thanks.
I'll stick to US Mobile Verizon 40 GB for $35 plus tax.
I’m on Verizon paying 100/one phone gotta switch it’s too pricey
Straight Talk is better
I use Visible hotspot on my computer and get about 25 down on it with 5g
I just want to use their internet thats it Verizon works amazing in my area i just want to get a sim and put in a hotspot device can you do a video on how can you do that?
Please put a disclaimer either in the video or in the comments that this is not an independent/unbiased review.
Haha, because we've used the service and have had no issues with it means that it's not independent? We've personally paid for & use Visible and is no different from how we handle every service/device discussed on this channel. Or, perhaps we should upload our monthly bill for you to see that we use it?
Visible is a nightmare of incompetence.
The Visible+ ($45 plan) is PREMIUM DATA. meaning it wont be slowed down .
You can't chat with visible wireless the way it's needs to fix that
And they promotions plan want let sign up for 15dollars
Please don't fall for visible if you want to port in you number. Good luck 🤞 not gonna happen. They suck.
Elaborate please. What sucks?
So boring 😢
