Im glad James said those things before playing the song. We never know who needed to hear that. I have always admired Metallica as musicians aa they were my favorite band as a teenager. I remember being given a Christian leaflet during my teen years saying ' do u know what u r listening to? ' ( referring to the lyrics in some metal songs about suicide & death etc). I had never considered it at all before then but I suddenly understood that alot of the reasons I was feeling negative, had suicidal thoughts, & anxiety was being influenced by what I was listening to. This marked a change in my life where I sought out alternative Christian metal music & later encountered Jesus after breaking down in sadness & pain & crying out to Him. My life totally changed after this for the better as I asked Jesus into my life & to forgive me for being a selfish person who had hurt people. He did forgive me & poured out so much unconditional love on me that today (31 years later) I have never regretted that decision & I have so much freedom and joy in my life, I could never have imagined before.
