Aruba In The Caribbean | The Beauty & The Reality
"Kind of an extended trip" understatement of the century! 😂
Yeah I'll most likely wrap up my vacation within the next few decades.
I cracked up when he said that.
Love to see this! Been to Aruba for my internship and fell in love with the island and the people! Oh, by the way! Next time when you go to baby beach! Don't swim outside the ropes! That part can be really dangerous due to the flow of the water (don't know if you say it like that). But there are people that have drowned there... But luckily you didn't off course!!!
Hi Gabe! Everywhere you go, is always an amazing place to see! I love your videos and I love how informative you are about each location you go, Prices and great locations to see! Definitely motivates me to travel the world
A car rental is a must in Aruba!! Esp for driving to restaurants for dinner (the best restaurants, like Papiamento, are all far away from hotels and waiting for a taxi can be a pain on the way back and they become expensive if you go out to dinner at each night) Parking and driving is SOOO easy even in the town center. There is so much more to do each day with a car.
Hi Gabriel! Loved where you stopped and and said something about that would be an awesome back yard. The water was so clear..The turtle had only one back leg and foot. Beautiful sandy beaches. Your breakfast looked yummy! Guess the steak sandwich was good too. I enjoyed this part of Aruba more than in town.. Take care and I bid you peace and love!🍃😊🍃 P.S. I saw that old blue VW Bug.. Love them!!!
You're the Bob Ross of the travel channels.
Yesss! Gabriel does have that calming voice and so interesting at the same time😁 I always enjoy his adventures 💙
Bob Ross was a penny pincher?
@@JimmyCee123 missed the point completely smh
You genuinely give me so much pleasure and joy watching your incredibly informative videos! You seem like such a genuine, warm-Hearted beautiful souled human! Awesome content consistently! I always hit your videos up if I’m planning to go somewhere, raw content!
I like this country Aruba😍
Wow, what a great video. Great music and visually pleasing. The sun is so BIG! If you're an introvert perfect place be. Where are the peeps? Ghost town. Spooky. lol GORGEOUS beach and sky. Just a little piece of heaven. Thank you for sharing your fantastic journey.
Great video. Hope you had a great time. We love Aruba. Been 18 times since 2009
Hey Gabe ! I am from Aruba, tried to go to the other side of Aruba. You can only go with a 4*4 car or also you can check a tour guide.
The other side of Aruba you have to enter the "parke national" if you go before the 3:30 pm they will charge you, but is not expensive.
It's an off-road ride. There you will find conchi, caves, dos playa and much more !
Karolina Cruz - Is that where the “hidden pools” are? I’ve been to Aruba 3 times but over 20 years ago so no major internet was in major use back then for me.
Love Aruba coming back for a second time!
I've had the unique opportunity to deliver nino tortugas several times in Cancun and Akumal. Ironically the first batch I delivered was 126 Carey Turtles, that's my last name!! The feat also included taking a post hole digger and digging a 6-foot deep hole to bury the eggs in as they would be quarantined for 55 some days until they hatched and then safely taken back out to sea! I feel quite fortunate for that opportunity, never did get all the sand out of my bathing suit! (I've never taken a Spanish course, so please forgive!)
Great insight into a place I know very little about. Also your Mexican series was fantastic. Thanks Gabe.
Right on, glad to hear it Willie.
@@GabrielTravelerVideos When you were driving around did you see a refinery ? There was , (or is) a Royal Dutch Shell there at one time. Thought I saw something like that in the far background at Rodgers Beach @10:05.
@@eddenoy321 Yeah there was some factory visible from Rodgers beach but I'm not certain what it was.
Thanks for sharing Aruba. Very nice Caribbean island. I love it 🥰.
Of all the ocean plunges that you've taken, I reckon that the water was the most clear in Hawaii, Greece and perhaps Thailand. Enjoy the Dutch Antilles!
Bahamas has clearest water.
I'm loving your videos of Aruba!! I am currently studying in Slovenia. And this makes me feel at home. 😍😍😍
Thanks Gabriel for the wonderful video always great content !!!!
You're the best and nicest travel vlogger!
When are you gunna conquer Africa and Madagascar? i'd like to see you do a series of videos from there. your videos are awesome. if it were possible i'd travel too but i have 2 kids to raise and i have a job. watching your videos is my escape.
Just got home from our first Aruba trip. When you at Flying Fishbones you were literally right by Zeerover! Best fish ever!
Wow AMAZING WATER! Beautiful place! Cheers!
Great music. Great beaches, great driving video, and great swimming with the turtle. Another great one Gabriel.
Lol i live here and ive never seen a turtle in person 😂
Beautiful! Less tourists and great beaches!
Gabriel, good to hear decent music on UA-cam videos.
It sets them apart.
Watching a lot of Indian vloggers and they're stuck with generic YT stuff, terrible.
Keep setting a good example.
😎❤️🇭🇲
Cool, glad to hear it.
I am an Indian and assure you no indian vlogger is going to come anywhere close to gabreil as far as as content is concerned along with generosity and humbleness. I have been annoyed on these Indian vlogger who earn well but are reluctant to spend some extra buck on taxi or accomidation it sucks.
Man Aruba is deadsville. I don't think I saw one person the whole video except that couple you met
There is an amazing difference between desert islands like Aruba and Saint Maarten to green tropical jungle islands like Jamaica. I definitely prefer the latter, especially when there are mountainous areas with coffee, tea and ganja plantations to explore!!
Thanks for your report. According to that I will never visit such a boring, but expensive place.
Seeing this video makes me miss Aruba!! I would definitely go back in a heartbeat. Also the resort I stayed at (The Renaissance) is actually in your video at the very beginning.
Yep! It’s turtle season here! So exciting to find nest and call local rangers to set up barricade to protect the nests. Can’t wait to see them go to the sea 💜💜
I’ll be there in late June. Any chance that they may be hatching then on Aruba?
M Stephens It really depends on pure luck in June. Because once laid they incubate for 2 months. There are currently a few new nests now on eagle beach. That means it will probably hatch in the month of July, but there is one nest that came in april. Hopefully you get to see that one. They are on eagle beach. You have to check the beaches at least a few times to see if they put the barricades on the floor or see a lot of people surrounding an area! It is a thrill to see one! Also if you see movements before anyone call the turtle hotline so they can immediately help out.
Turtle hotline: +297-592-9393
Jurny Werleman - thank you for the information. Do you know if the people at that turtle hotline no when the eggs were laid? I’m asking because I wonder if any people who oversee the turtles know when to expect them to hatch and be there to protect them as best possible. I will definitely take a look down on the beach and I hope to see something. We are staying at the Riu Palace Antillas. I used to stay at what was The Americana but is now the Barcello. So the Riu is closer to Eagle beach. I’ll let you know if I see anything!
Love the turtle. They are amazing creatures. Hav you thought about going to Cuba since you're in that part of the world ?
I'd like to see tons more of the Caribbean, but I have some other plans in mind for the summer so I'm not sure how much I'll see this time around. Thinking about it. I'll have to come back to see more in the future.
Gabe, I really feel like I'm on vacation watching your videos. Keep going Bro.
We can see Gabe was really "loving" a tourist trap called "Aruba." 😏
Beautiful beaches and water , the part with the turtle was really cool . The song with the guy singing was kind of a distraction but the other music was great .
Hello Gabriel, good to see you I hope all is well & you're doing great. Awesome video thank you 🌷
that place @14:38 is for certain not an old place destroyed by a hurricane. It is most certainly an *old* "partially-fenced" terrain. Maybe a homeless person (yes you have them also in Aruba) made something in those days. You still have homeless people on the island, but not as much as before. I hike a mountain bike a lot here on several trails, and you get from time to time some, but not as much as before. Man I think you missed mangel halto. You were so close. Also, you are so lucky to see a turtle. The rule is, just leave them be, don't go too close. Also, you went outside the marked area at Baby Beach. There is a reason the row is there. There is a strong undertow when you pass that row. Lots of tourist drown there. There are a few sign where it's written.
"You Gotta Save Me" by Johan Glossner good song and the scenery while you played it was great.
Hyundai i10, excellent car. The same type of car that I rent when I went on vacation in Lemnos island, and the price was 35 euro per day.
15:47 aruba his own kinda area 51 haha, great video 👍🏼
Hello... Gabriel... Very nice place... Brilliant work of you... Compliment... Many thanks..
Your music selection is fantastic!
Sweet.
Gabriel Traveler which camera stabilizer do you use?
Thank you! Great job! I am following all your videos.
No stabilizer. I'm using the Gopro 7 black which has great built-in stabilization.
Next time you visit aruba i highly reccomend you visiting the caves and go exploring at arikok national park. As a local its my favorite thing to do.
I wish I would have seen this before I went May 11th I could have saved some money on the helpful tips you gave. Great video
Amazing sea turtle in Baby beach you're a looking man! Enjoy our island . Masha danki ! Gracias ahora te falta caminar en Arikok Park just for relaxing and hiking.
Do you ever feel awkward sitting at the table by yourself at a restaurant? I could never do that.
TigroTom it’s definitely weird at first but you get used to it. Plus it forces you to make friends if you don’t want to be lonely!
@@Samsterdude1 I am too self conscious for that. I tried it once, to sit at a place by myself and felt too weird, never did that again.
LOL I do it all the time, and it seems I'm not the only one in the places I go :)
Gabe, I wonder if also prices in Aruba and other southern Caribbean islands have gone up after the major Fall of 2017 hurricanes hit many of the popular northern islands really hard. Places up north are still rebuilding. Tourists have less Caribbean islands to choose from after the two back-to-back Category 5 hurricanes that plowed through Cuba, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands (US and British) and other northern islands. Tourist demand is always growing but these days there are less Caribbean destinations to choose from. I was going to recommend St. John in the USVI and Virgin Gorda in the BVI as places where most tourists rent well-used open air jeeps from mom & pop local establishments which I could easily see being your style. But those and other surrounding islands got buzz sawed a year and a half ago and I was just reading where a lot of adults and kids there have 'PHSD,' 'Post Hurricane Stress Disorder.' When the winds blow, teachers say the youngest kids get more clingy. You can rebuild houses, roads and buildings faster than it takes forests and people to recover. Maybe there's 'post hurricane specials up there' .... but you'd have some places still closed and houses with tarps on them and mowed-down forests .... But the snorkeling should still be good - lots of coral reefs where there are more fish to see. I dunno - nobody's waiting on mainstream media any more to report on such stuff ... or any of the other 'big name travel vloggers' .... I was surprised how little coverage there was even right after it happened .... You could provide a worthwhile look on what's happening up there .... Just fyi - I know you've got a million possibilities of places to go - just throwing that out there.
Nice Crystal Clear Warm Water / Where are Flamingos ?
They're on a private island that apparently you have to get up early, stand in line and if you're lucky you get a special ticket to go to the island. Haley Dasovich made a video showing them: ua-cam.com/video/ALlcAG7n4B0/v-deo.html
Gabe!I don't know too much about your travel videos, but, why can't we enjoy the views and news about the island without squirreling it up with that hideous back ground (music?)noise. You jet around the streets so quickly I can hardly settle on a scene.I've been to Aruba. Lovely spot. Walked all around.
Wow great vid almost felt as if I was there with you
They should have lockers on the beaches to put your stuff in
I've been to ABC islands and hands down for Curaçao. Aruba do not offer not even half of what Curaçao has. Bonaire is nicer than Aruba but just as expensive. ✌🏼
Firstname Lastname I mean Curaçao is much bigger than Aruba so yes it does offer more. Gotta defend my island Aruba!
@@thanyageerman4633 Exactly!! Loved your comment!
Who cares what you think?? The mayority of the tourists loves Aruba.
With your personal view, could you ranking among Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao?? And why? And which island is the biggest one?
Hi Gabriel, It was nice to see you get away and see some of the rest of the Island surprising to see all that cactus and it seems like there weren't any restaurants in and around that beautiful beach area. Even in the Caribbean, you will see a desert terrain really amazing. Amazing video of the turtle great stuff.
You're very good at responding for your amount of subs.
Great video Gabe and I like your choice of music on this one too! Enjoy🌞
Love love love your videos!!! I plan to have my ashes spread in Aruba hopefully a LONG time from now. Have you ever been to St. Martin? That's about the only island that we have not been to but would like to visit.
We went to Aruba this past March. It's okay if you don't mind eating sand all the time on the beach.
very interesting nd soothing blog your trip to Mexico cities remind me of my favourite movie desperado I am going to watch it again
4:29 I Tawt I Taw a Puddy Tat
at a first glance, the island looks really dry. looks real great for people with children NICE route!
Beautiful island ....with clean beaches. Interesting giant cactii ...enjoyed watching this video from India...thanks sir
I’m sure that place is popping during high season. Right now not to many tourists.
Living Life well yes Aruba’s main source of income is tourism. During summer Aruba’s hotels and beaches are filled with tons of tourists
Nice video! can’t wait to go back to Aruba...
Aruba is so beautiful. I was just there last year exactly.
9:15 when you were telling them your little adventure i was hoping you would reel off this YTD destinations ha.
I wanted to watch a great travel video to relax and relief stress then found yours in my notifications, very beautiful shirt you got, where can I buy one?
I don't even know how you can hold and swing your camera so smooth when you switch to selfie mode, or how stable the different views of the footage while you are driving came out!?
You took me by surprise when you dived! Lol
Be careful on stepping on anything like these spikes wearing flip flops.
Hi, thanks. I got the shirt in Hoi An, Vietnam.
Kudos as always ☮️💟 What type of sunscreen do you use when so close to the equator? I’m going to Aruba soon, so just asking! Thanks for all of your vids. Ive watched about 15 and keep watching almost every day! ☮️💟⚠️👍🏼
Nice video, that’s cool getting your own wheels and exploring, can be more interesting when you take public transport and discover more on a different mode , have fun !
Thanks Gab for this beautiful video !
We tried the Dutch pancake house it was very good!!! We rented a car for a few days pretty cheap and the taxi’s are also very cheap to get from Divi golf to the height rises.
Beautiful Gabriel 😊❤ thank you ☀️😊❤ stay safe
It's so cool to see the backyard of the island
My favorite vacation place. La Cabana and Eagle beach.
14:36 I can confirm as a local we do not live like that lolol
Yeah that came across the wrong way. I was actually referring to the neighborhoods I'd driven through right before that, not the homeless encampment or whatever it was that I was checking out right then.
Gabriel Traveler Ooo, I didn’t expect you to respond! Sorry about that, I was just joking around! Really love your videos, keep up the good work! 👍
i hid the divorce papers You live in Aruba ?
Places like that have to be expensive. Nothing grows on dry sand and everything has to be imported. I would choose St Martin if I was looking for this kind of destinations.
Welcome To morocco best places To visit, coming sooon
I adore this video content - its so usefull and helpfull.
I wish if you can get soon down to Brazil and its neighbors like Argentine Chile gabriel .
Hey, I'm from Brazil (despite my profile pic) and I wish he can get to Australia soon.. as I love that place.. :D
i havent been to aruba in 20 years!! wasnt there a huge mountain with steps you could climb??
Looks nice! Its cold down here in Argentina, need to start working my way back north!
More Videos Like This One Pls! ☺️
Fun fact: on Aruba we say Papiamento and not Papiamentu. Thats how they say it on Curaçao. Its the same language but we spell some words differently
I see, thanks.
i always imagined the carrabean to be lush an dgreen...this island is just dry, i know you said it doesn't rain often, but man. like some islands in greece.
Don't even compare Greece to this! It's so unethical
Jabadabaduuu!
Wow. Aruba!!! Mr McAffee the one who founded McAfee antivirus used to live in Aruba. He ran away - says locals tried to poison him to get his bitcoin stash...but he managed to outsmart them and escaped.
Hey I love the way and detail in which you describe things. mAKES US REALLY feel as if we re all along with you. My dauughters watch it too and they're learning english. Thanks Gabriel!
Great, glad you enjoyed it.
Wow!Gabriel Traveler I'm third 😉it's another great place 👌☺️❤️
Yep, you got it.
1) Mate, there's nothing like a good meal to kick off another one of your expertly crafted travel tales.
2) Whilst the Cuz and I were in HI, we just hoofed it and/or took Da Bus all over O'ahu. Now, if the bus service is so RAD on Aruba, then why did you elect to rent an auto?
3) 04:04 -- "Sweet" backyard, until one has a King Tide and/or until the winds start to blow and you get what looks like storm surge ...
4) At Baby beach, the water looked just it did in HI. I mean people who have never seen turquoise-coloured water just don't believe that water can BE that shade of aqua!
5) Small world, seeing folks from Cali. eh?
6) Leaving stuff on da beaches ... Dunno, mate. I still think you are the bravest Cat evah!
7) Hehe, I know of folks who have turned those old school buses into tiny homes.
8) What I'd like to know is where did they find all of the wood, to make that lean-to / shack?
9) Love the colours they paint their homes -- That mint-y aqua is KILLER! Tiffany kinda turquoise, actually ...
10) 14:39 -- Mate, I don't think that is locals housing. I think that is just squatters' piece-meal stuff ... you know, beach campers' builds. The nicer looking homes I'll bet are how the locals live, and also the tourists.
The bus service is good to get to the main beaches, but not so good to explore other parts of the island. For example getting to Baby beach requires changing buses and it would take a while, and you wouldn't be able to get to a lot of places on the island. So it's a good idea to rent a car for at least a few days. And yes, of course, that was a squatters set-up or whatever at 14:39, I was referring to how the locals live in terms of the neighborhoods I'd just driven through.
@@GabrielTravelerVideos Gotcha, however the word squatters was not specifically mentioned, so ....
True!
Thanks Gabriel for good video of Aruba.
Great video, like always. How do you get your GoPro 7 footage to look this good on UA-cam?
Hi, I don't do anything special. Glad it's looking good. Here are the settings I use: 1080p, 60fps, Linear angle, Manual audio control: wind only, Auto low light: Off, Video stabilization: ON, Shutter: Auto, Ev comp: +0.5, Iso min: 100, Iso max: 3200, WB: Auto, Sharp: Medium, Color: GoPro, Audio: Off.
Thanks, will try.
Cool tunes!
You need to go to St. Maarten. Another Dutch Island with the best beaches in the carribbean
Thanks for all the videos!
I don't know if it's because I've lived in wetter, more temperate climates, always not too far from a major city, but I think I'd get depressed living on this island.
I’m glad you living your life brother ... I’m working hard to invest and travel .. you motivate me
Sweet, glad to hear it.
Hey Gabriel,im a fan and im a local in aruba,if you want a tour of the island u can tell me
Amir Boekhoudt I’ll be there in late June with my two sons and their girlfriends. I’d rather pay you than thosetourist traps...My email is

Fantastic 🌵🌴
You should've dine Aruba already since it too close to columbia ,but i saw that you went peru and than Ecuador and than took a bus to colombia ,i currently following yoy only Peru trip and I'll do the Ecuador, columbia in the winter :)
Is Aruba influenced by being located so close to Venezuela? Do you think this affects things like prices of goods, crime levels, etc?
No I don't think it's affected by Venezuela much, other than the food and perhaps language but not as far as the economics, politics, crime, etc.
Crime has remained realtively unchanged. There was a spike back in 2015. There were a few big robbaries from casino's and such. Further than that, it's like living in a bubble
Would be fun seeing Gabe outrunning 'em bullets
