I'm 62 yrs old. I've been watching Eurovision for 50 years, since I was 12 yrs old, when ABBA won in 1974, with Waterloo. And so far, in the whole history of Eurovision, Tattoo, is THE atomic bomb 💣 song. It makes my heart soar and weep at the same time. There have been some incredible acts, but Tattoo is No.1. Some other favourites and a very close 2nd, is our own girl Dami Im, who in 2016 represented Australia for the first time with her Sound of Silence., amazing! I also love, Greece's, Helena Paparizou., My Number One. Ukraine's, Verka Serduchka, with Dancing Lasha Tumbai. And Britain's, Sam Ryder with Spaceman.🚀 Cheers, Sophie from Australia 🇦🇺 🍸🍹🍺
me2. i m nearly cry when i watch it first time with my girl Mia in Stuttgart, then i watch it again and again, such an amazing lady indeed and i adore her(him)soooo much, her way of express the power of music art just touchs my heart soooo deeply... i am speechless. i need to go Sweden, her land to discover more amazing arts. greetings from Germany / China. yomemia*mamamia...
It’s weird that 80% of all nations gave Sweden 12 points, while audience in Liverpool yelling: CHA CHA CHA Televoting: more then 300 points for Finland 👀
Loreen also got high public votes. What she presented is true music performance not a circus show like cha cha , judges voted mostly based on music, while younger people vote mostly for circus shows . It’s not surprising
Sooo..why doesn't the audience choose the Eurovision winner again? After all, we are the ones who will listen, love and support the song and the singer after it's all done, not some jury. We are the ones who vote (and PAY for those votes) and in the end our votes still don't matter because the jury decides the winner as they wish...
Because you don‘t get the lyrics. Can you tell me the story behind the lyrics of Czech Republic? Or of Croatia? The jury votes not for the performance we see, they vote for a lot of different reasons and criteria
Actually, the audience *does* vote, and it changes a lot the results. Take Finland, for example, they were second because of the public vote and got 0 points from the judges
@@drunkfood3275 And whats your point? If you want to know the meaning of the lyrics you should translate it. Are you assuming that everyone understands English?
@@drunkfood3275 actually they chose who fits best into their narrow minded little Rainbow world and see who's deemed most deserving of a prise funded by the people watching it .
if the juries are so professional and they judge by vocal performance, how comes that France's La Zarra or Portugal's Mimicat with their phenomenal vocal performances fared so bad with the juries?
@@giulia5735there wasn’t much echo unfortunately. During melfest it was much more enjoyable because we could hear the echo and it was more magical (as well as the platform she is standing because Liverpool kinda killed her staging as well)

Let's not forget how sweden actually gave 12 points to finland on the televote, but finland gave ZERO to sweden. It just shows the character of those supporting the green man
Wow, i'm glad to see i'm not the only one disappointed with this year's results. There were definitely better songs that deserved the win, and honestly when i listen to this one i just wanna turn the volume down...
@@Kitanawinsflawlessvictory difference is BOTH juries AND people liked her. People liked Finland a bit better, and I'm sure their act will do great on Finnish Idol next year or whatever. This is not a competition simply decided by popular vote, Finland's song didn't appeal as much to juries. Them's the rules, deal with it.
When she performed this song in the Swedish "Melodifestivalen" it was way better in my opinion. But as a Swede, I might be biased but I think she deserves this win. I think it's an absolutely amazing song
I've heard that next year Abba is going to represent Sweden. Australia is going to answer with AC/DC and Germany is going to shoot with Rammstein. I mean, why not?
Rammstein would never do that. I don't know who told you this but this is definitely not true. They would never waste their time for this shitshow lol. People didn't even appreciate the talent of lord of the lost, why should Rammstein waste their time there? My country should just waste some rarely known musicians who Sound like everyone else out there.
@@thehellsraven nah, don't worry, I was just trying to point out how cheap it is to send internationally well know artists to this kind of competition. On a side note though, Germany didn't deserve the treatment they got this year.
so to those who are saying that loreen also got many points. you have a point. however the jury created such a wide gap between sweden and all other countires, that no realistic public voting could have surpassed it. if it was a normal gap ( and im not saying only finland should have been 2nd in jury voting) kaarija would have passed loreen with many points. there was a 200 points gap in jury voting, which is not both ideal or normal.
The jury exists to counterbalance votes for goof songs and 'meme'-artists. In other words, its job is to keep the competition's credibility intact by stopping artist like the saxophone guy, or Verka Serduchka, or Finland this year. Also, Loreen's song gets three times more play on Spotify than Finland's song. That's a better gague of what the people really prefer.
@@JJJ111JJJ bro if she really deserved all her jury points then why didn’t other countries like spain get so much more (cause they were just as good, if not better). and her song gets more played probably because she won the eurovision before and therefore she’s more famous? love how you made zero points there💀💀
It just seems that the costumes and stage have come to play an important part in promoting the song. Personally I thought the song was so so and similar to some song I heard before.
Yes, I have the exact feeling I heard something like this before; at some way it reminds me of Morandi -Angels, but there is something else like this. Also feel like the song is ordinary
Euphoria was masterpiece and one of the best songs on esc. Tattoo is just a good song. Definitely deserves top spots but not a win. Not in a dream and whole audience who watched the show live knew that.
There was nothing better than Tattoo though. I can understand people being upset about a previous winner, but to me nothing beat this last night. This one had me from the first few seconds.
The outrage isn't about which song is better, or if Loreen deserved to win or not, people got bitter because they loved one song, they voted for it (and let's remember, you have to pay for your vote), and in the end it didn't matter because the jury has more power to chose whatever they want. If Finland had received the 12 points from EVERY country's televote, he would have win with a difference of only 11 points. The jury made it practically impossible for anyone else but Loreen to win. What is the point of having people voting if it's gonna be like this? He was the second most voted in Eurovision's History and it meant nothing for the final results. I'd say that even if you like Tattoo better, you could understand the general feeling of injustice ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The point is to have a jury that reprimands meaningless lyrics and weak vocals. His song is suitable for the Finnish pubs, not the Eurovision stage. At least the juries appreciate that this is a singing contest
@@Justhomasd i get your point but you say pointless lyrics? The eurovision is full of songs with pintless lyrics. And if you know what Käärijä even sang you would know that the lyrics arent wven that crazy, atleast compared to some other past performances
I understand your frustration but this voting system has been going on for years, it’s not like they changed it this year to make Loreen win. There were other Eurovision winners like Jamala and Duncan Laurence that didn’t win the televote but still managed to win the contest with the help of the jury. Plus keep in mind that Loreen came 2nd in the televote which is still a very popular result, it’s not like she came at the bottom.
@@GGGaming-by9vz Exactly, Loreen’s lyrics are not something we haven’t heard before and are generic, but at least they are not about drinking, pina colada, getting wasted on the dance floor etc I mean come on
Are you dumb? If less people voted for Loreen Finland would still win. It’s a combination of jury and people. I’m happy it is. You don’t want a rich organisation to spam votes for someone they want to win for whatever reasons. And stop being bitter people. This is a true class act. It saddens me that majority of people nowadays have the mental capacity of a crack baby. Finland was fun but doesn’t even reach the knees of Loreen’s act. Be real.
50 years ago ABBA won Eurovision today. And they have been a big inspiration for many Swedish artists. Loreen was so happy when someone told her that this song reminded them about ABBA. That was a big compliment for her
@@kummingo Agreed and who cares really, if it reminds someone of ABBA (Sweden) for me thats awsome. This song is amazing in any case, cheers from Sweden!
I think she went from being one of the most popular ESC winners to being one of the least popular. She received 12 points from the public exactly 0 times (Finland 18 times). I wonder what it must have been like for her with the crowd chanting Cha cha cha.
She knows her song was streamed more than twice as much. The public votes dont mean anything. Its just a game of how clowney and quirky an act can get. That is why croatia was in there in the first place.
@@Oskyldig-ot1yr wahwah, eurovision is about creativity. cha cha cha was a perfect mix of different genres. you’ve heard something like tattoo a thousand times i bet.
@@ZettaFish I agree. Eurovision is known for it's mix of perfect talent and excelling creativity. The crowd loves a song with a crazy vibe. Acts like Cha Cha Cha is what makes Eurovision Eurovision, and not just another contest like the Voice.
I loved the part when she tried (and failed) to act happy and surprised during the jury vote. Public voting has its problems but Jurys are just a corrupt system.
As usual!!! All knew that she wuld have win........next year Sweden will celebrate the ABBA 50* anniversary!!!!besides the song was almost similar that one from the film MAMMA MIA!!!🤗🤗🤗😳😳
I agree with you. The problem is, jury votes sometimes for songs which are sung terribly. I don't think Loreen's vocals in the final was technically good even with comparison to another performers. Norway was in my opinion much better in this case and I'm not from Scandinavia 🙂
Not gonna lie, Loreen performance was absolutely beautiful and wished her high notes but I think it is totally unfair that(often biased) the jury are voting and robbing points from many artists. Look how Norway was robbed but it was one of the song with highest points given from public. And of course the winner was Finland which would be on 1st place if not jury points.
Norway Was Absolutely Robbed Of What Should Have Been A Win . Loreen Was Already Well Known So She Swooped Up All The Votes And Tried To Act Surprised!
Norway hadn't a great performance! I don't know if it was a tech issue or she lost her voice, but she wasn't at her best. She just had a lot of social media fans ! Finland was much better 🎉
I would really like to know the rules the jury votes by. Like: Are they voting on a live performance only? Has it to be the exact same one as the audience saw? How are the votes calculated? When does a country announce the jury members? I think more transparency would be a great idea overall. 😊
Loreen copied Mika Newtons song Tatoo and next year is Abba 50th celebration. Of course she had to win ! So it was corrupted. dusty old boring love songs and ballads, what else. She is also signed with warner bros who support juries in each country
Jury points should not exceed the people's given points. There is definitely something wrong if a single piece gains about double points than others and still lose!
This is exactly the point of Jury. People vote for songs like Solo o Mamma SC, Juries can valorate correctly to Spain, Estonia, Italy and other great songs that people don't valorate.
I’m not a hater, but the fact that people are so furious about the jury votes, they make petitions, leave tons of dislikes and negative comments that gain most attention even under this video (the winner’s video!) shows that something went wrong… I mean, there always were people disappointed in someone’s victory, but this year the negative feedback is mind blowing. Note that it targets the juries, not Loreen herself as she’s still a talented artist. ESC, you better do something about the voting system.
Amen. Mods try to delete critical comments on this video (mine was deleted, no bashing there or anything which would break rules of internet etiquette). Makes it seem like people are cheering the winner but the dislike ratio and the negative mood all on social media platforms and on newspapers don't lie.
She is really popular by people outside this community. This song is currently the 46th most played song in WORLD on Spotify. She is charting in many countries. Among the countries that voted for cha cha TATTOO is charting much better than Käärijä
@@bilaakis how is it related to the contest? People may listen to her song billions of times, she may be the most popular artist out there, I’m fine with that, but ESC voters gave her SECOND place IN THE CONTEST. With a 130 points margin from the public winner. That’s it.
@@olenaolena9073Why on earth are you making such a big deal out of this? The winner has many many times before not won the televote, this is not unique. The rules are 50% jury 50% public, if you don’t accept the rules then don’t participate. Simple as that.
Jury owns us an explanation. The jury criteria were updated this year to have bigger emphasis on "originality" and "overall impression" instead of just vocals. But I feel juries only voted based on the vocal capabilities. I'm not against jury votes. But jury votes should be less impactful than public votes. Jury members should also be a better representation of various musical backgrounds to better represent all of us. Now it feels they are all same anonymous gatekeepers. In addition jury gives scores based on 4 criteria They need to score these criteria separately and transparently so we can see how the final jury scores by country were formed. How on earth did Käärijä not score great jury scores as originality, performance and overall impression are the 3 criteria, not just "vocal capability"? I got the impression that jury had decided the winner already before the competition started.
Sweden performed well, but I don't see the point of sending the same participant (especially one who has already won) for a second time. In addition, the jury on purpose dragged down countries they knew people would vote for, such as Finland, Ukraine, and Norway. And they elevated Loreen so high that even with over 350 votes from the audience, Finland couldn't catch up.
@@oemusikstop with that. Sweden's song was mediocre at best and in no way was twice as better as the second one. But according to Jury Mika New... Loreen's tattoo was twice as good as anything else
I don't know why this performance got so many jury points. It was not better than at least 5 other performances this evening that got not even a third of the points. After the jury voting the competition was basically over.
The jury vote is corrupt, they decided who would win beforehand. In the beginning the Finnish narrator kept on reminding viewers that a solo woman singer has only ever won eurovision twice, which was obviously hinting towards who would win... and a returner (+ not in a bad way, ethnic Moroccan, which by winning would make eurovision "more inclusive")
How is it possible that the jury that doesnt consist of more than 500 people has 49% of the voting power compared to the millions of public voters. Honestly we can only hope that this system changes in the future. Either way Im happy that Käärija is getting the recognition though. He is first on the Spotify Global Viral Chart while Loreen is on the 29th. I think that says a lot

Okay I will say this here. Is Loreen an Eurovision legend? Yes. Did I like euphoria? Yes. Did I like the message of tattoo, the staging and performance? Yes, it was amazing. Did I want her to win? NO. Why? Because by sending Loreen to Eurovision there was no room for other artists to win. Too predictable. I said it in the beginning when I saw she will represent Sweden and my opinion hasn’t change. Anyway, i guess congrats Sweden! Two years in a row the winners were predictable. Let’s see next year, third time is a charm. 😬 Edit: I didn’t say it was a bad song. It was a *great* song + who *she* is, made her victory almost impossible for the others to beat. Which is unfair. Tell me why countries like portugal, armenia and norway with great vocals were completely forgotten by the juries but they all voted for sweden? Plus, I wouldn’t have said anything about her win if she won the public vote as well. But she didn’t win the public vote, the jury gave her an unbeaten result. So yeah, as said, unfair.
My thoughts exactly! I'm not mad because Sweden won or because my beloved Finland didn't. I'm disappointed because it feels like the winner was decided already in March. I feel like the others never had a real chance.
agreed. Euphoria was a great hit, but Tattoo just felt like a bleak copy of Euphoria, i didn't think she deserved to win and I'm Swedish. I was rooting for Germany all the time lol
What message? Tattoo is the most generic radio song in a while. Angles crying violins playing lol! Also the melody is stolen from several songs. Sweden only won to get an ABBA show for next year (ps. One song that was copied to tattoo is abba winner takes it all)
She won bc of jury votes, finland got more public votes. Jury votes shouldnt affect that much bc how can anyone else win after she received over 300 jury votes.

Loreen it’s not the problem, the juries are and the song contest in general. I am still convinced that the Swedish delegation really planned this out for the 50th anniversary of ABBA. In order to win, this song was created. They chose Loreen, as she is famous and everyone knows that she’s a power-weapon. Tattoo won Melodiefestival because of her. The same happened yesterday. Everyone knew that the song will do good in front of the juries and public

Is anyone really surprised that a well crafted artistic song and performance had gotten a significantly better jury result than a gimmick fun song that all you remember from is screaming cha cha cha repeatedly?
I really hope for next year’s Eurovision that we don’t have favouritisms towards anyone months before the Eurovision day. Because last year we already knew Ukraine was winning, the same this year but with Sweden. It makes the contest so boring
Well then people should stop monitoring the contest months before the actual show. I guess that is the problem, plus the obsession of eurofans with the bookies

I liked Loreens 2012 song BUT i cant be the only one who would want someone else to win than her. Also i think the juries votes should be 1/3 of all votes because who da hell even cares really is it best singing technique in the world.
I agree with the comparison; I didn't think song stood out from yesterday's line up, not in the way her first winner did that year.... @@micheledipietro9223 Not really, for years now Eurovision has been all about the Show off, that's why you see such big stage productions. They barely care if the song is actually good, as long as the presence is strong
While Loreen is a very good artist with a very good song... as a swede I must admit it is a joke that 200 jury members decide the outcome of this so called contest. It is not the first time, but I hope it was the last. Finland and Käärijä was hands down the true winner. Eurovision better change the voting system going forward. Let each country representative present their tele-votes instead of a so called "jury" vote.
I think it's so friggin boring with Eurovision these days. Was better back in the day when people actually had some national connection to their country.
Loreen is an incredibly talented singer and performer. This is an okay song. It's not that she didn't perform well; I would say just vocally, her singing was likely superior to Käärijä's last night. But this jury vote was bizarrely skewed: if it was solely about vocal skill, how on earth were exceptional performances such as Spain, France, and Portugal voted so low? Based on what I can see online, the jury seems to be made up almost entirely of former Eurovision people (my comment doesn't post when I put a link here, but Google it!). I feel like maybe this played a role in the ridiculous amount of jury points Loreen got as someone who is already an absolute Eurovision icon; ideally, her points should have been better divided between herself, La Zarra, Mimicat, Paloma, etc. Secondly and more importantly, it is SO OBVIOUS to everyone that Finland was the desired winner. Yes, people love Loreen, 243 points through televoting is a lot. But the stadium audience really reflected how many many people felt last night: so many viewers were hoping and waiting for Käärijä to win and end the night by screaming Cha Cha Cha along with him during his encore. It was a unique, original, upbeat song, while Tattoo was just another bland entry. If literally anyone else besides Loreen had been performing it, I'm not even sure it would have qualified beyond the semis. So, in conclusion, congratulations to Loreen, but her victory feels frustrating. Now I can no longer remember her as "the queen of Eurovision who sings Euphoria " but "the unnecessarily returning champion who won over a song more people wanted to see win".
*Everybody’ s talking about the juries ahah. I have a feeling of déjà vu. Well… At least now you know how it feels! That’s why the TRUE WINNER OF ESC 2016 is Sergey Lazarev who won the televote but was dragged down by the juries.* *GREETINGS FROM* 🇷🇺🪆
To be honest I think she felt the same way, she didn't seem particularly happy with winning, she seemed to be in disbelief, but not really in a good and celebratory way at literally any point after she won. Look at her vs. Käärijä before she won, and Måneskin after winning. She just didn't seem comfortable at any point.

Next year ABBA celebrates 50 years of having been in Eurovision, very useful to celebrate it in Sweden. 🧐 Thank you Jury for deciding the winner this year.
Isn't Eurovisions motto "United by music" though? The staging the winning to sweden was so obvious. First of all, next year is the ABBA's 50th anniversary year. Loreen didn't make this song but all the same crew who did the 2012's song Euphoria. In this Tattoo song, there are several parts of which you can definitely hear they're plagiarized. Google Mika Newton for example. Melodies are exactly like that, also some parts of the song "flying free". Also people voted for Käärijä. The only way Sweden got to won was by the jury, and next year's parties definitely wanted to be in Sweden. This is sooo obvious. So Finland was robbed, and Käärijä is the real winner of the show. That's what people wanted.
True, the number of 12 she got from the juries was ridiculous. It’s clear they were pushing her win hard. She was good but NOT THAT good, others had even better vocals, songs, staging. There were lots to choose from and you’re somehow telling me all chose Sweden. Rigged

so to those who are saying that loreen also got many points. you have a point. however the jury created such a wide gap between sweden and all other countires, that no realistic public voting could have surpassed it. if it was a normal gap ( and im not saying only finland should have been 2nd in jury voting) kaarija would have passed loreen with many points. there was a 200 points gap in jury voting, which is not both ideal or normal.
Yup you’re right. Loreen was great but Käärijä was something else

I'd say that even if you like Tattoo better, you could understand the general feeling of injustice ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@@justafella_ yea i like reaaaally love Eurovision but i don't listen to any of the songs and I don't even know the artists until the 1st semifinal so that it's a more enjoyable and unique experience
There’s always been favouritism in Eurovision, I doubt that can change unless they introduce anonymity of countries the songs represent - that would be very interesting if they did that though!
I liked Loreens 2012 song BUT i cant be the only one who would want someone else to win than her. Also i think the juries votes should be 1/3 of all votes because who da hell even cares really is it best singing technique in the world.
Wtf Bro it's a music contest not a show contest
Eurovision is about music and only music. (Talent, performance, etc etc). If it was about circus or something, i could've agreed with you. Sorry..
I agree with the comparison; I didn't think song stood out from yesterday's line up, not in the way her first winner did that year.... I think the idea of rebalancing the Jury vote to be slightly less important isn't a bas one; maybe a 2/5 3/5
But then I'd like to see the results announced togetehr... Right now, all the Jury votes... then the phone votes In One Go.. doesn't work for me Its like watching the first half of a match.. then going off for lunch and just checking back for the final score
@@micheledipietro9223 IT's a SONG contest and this song is anything but original. It's a generic love song and such a Eurovision clichè entry. And the same artist already won with an almost identical song 11 years ago. The juries don't value creativity.
The jury voting is kinda dumb. Most of the time they give points to their neighbors anyway
es el flying free
I think it's so friggin boring with Eurovision these days. Was better back in the day when people actually had some national connection to their country.
No thanks, the competition will be over saturated with green goofballs and joke songs like Finland was this year.
Didn't like the Finland song at all
Amazing song❤🎉Greetings from Pristina( Republic of Kosova)🇽🇰🙋♀️
Yeah and this is really sad. Now I link her to this frustrating victory, not to Euphoria anymore...
I'm not reading all of that. Happy for you though.
Her performance was boring and pretentious. I'm surprised she got as many televotes as she did.
*Everybody’ s talking about the juries ahah. I have a feeling of déjà vu. Well… At least now you know how it feels! That’s why the TRUE WINNER OF ESC 2016 is Sergey Lazarev who won the televote but was dragged down by the juries.*
*GREETINGS FROM* 🇷🇺🪆
To be honest I think she felt the same way, she didn't seem particularly happy with winning, she seemed to be in disbelief, but not really in a good and celebratory way at literally any point after she won. Look at her vs. Käärijä before she won, and Måneskin after winning. She just didn't seem comfortable at any point.
Is hurts in my throat when i listen to this song because her voice is so powerful, i just dont know how she does it! All in all really impressive the other songs were amazing this year too

Euphoria was actually impressive and worthy of the First place, this song - not even close to Euphoria.
The berber people livs 3000 m above the see since 25 000 years (some say) They can dance and sing. Problems solved through the evolution. Isn't Eurovisions motto "United by music" though? Especially considering how much EBU pushes the social aspect of the spectacle. Still, can't say the wrong song won with the fact you brought up as it's a pretty cool opportunity next year.
The jury has actually decided every year the winner of Eurovision and not only this year.

Rigged
