Met Stephen Stills backstage at the Irvine Amphitheater. Very friendly, a real gentleman, he was kind and talked to me for awhile, a humble, thoughtful guy. no air of star struck pride. I was younger than him. God bless him.

Dude, there are three kinds of music. Good music, bad music, and classics. All three have emerged from every decade in every century. I'm thankful I was able to experience CSN's good stuff. They put out some stinkers too, don't forget. Let's celebrate artists and great works and we don't have to put down the rest.

I was lucky enough to see CSNY in Atlanta once in about early 2000's during a reunion type tour with ole' Neil. Then saw CSN open for Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers a few years after.
Then took my Brother to see CSN at Chastain Park Amphitheater in ATL for his Birthday. Great music, great times and threw me back to the Late 60's and early 70's and, what a great time in Music and really in America had it not been for that wretched Vietnam War that took away too many of mine and your Friends.

Still sucks these 3 could not 'patch it up' these past few years, and do the voo doo that they did... so god damn well

The definition of sublime - that last note they sing together.

All of these songs seem to go by so fast...I'm always left wanting them to go on and on.
That's the nature of beauty when you capture it, though.

I’m sitting here 33 years later and it’s so good , so rich and suddenly it hits me - Steve Stills is covering all the guitar work. As Paul McCartney said - Maybe I’m amazed!

Crosby once complained that Stills could sometimes treat him and Nash as quote "his backing singers" - watch this video and discover that that's exactly what they were.

Crosby wrote some of the most hauntingly beautiful songs, imo... I love Stills' best songs, but Crosby's best ones make me cry!🙏

@@lievenvv backup singers can be songwriters. Too much pretentious foppery in Crosby’s tunes for me.

    Sono nato lontano
Avevo 20 anni ,e la musica da noi( in italia) era stupida, noiosa.
Un giorno del 1970, un amico mi porta il cd. Csn. Sul divano.
    Ascolta.....
    Mi hanno cambiato la vita.
    Grazie di essere esistiti.
