Gotta ask... How many years have to pass, for someone's past, to just be their past? For something unacceptable by today's standards-non-PC acts, behaviors, or statements-to be a marker, for how far a person has grown, and they're judged by who they are NOW? This question isn't relevant to Cosby, Allen or Polanski. It's about UA-camrs and people that have non-felonious histories. People who've made mistakes, did or said things that were the norm during the early 2020s, 2010s, 2000s, 1990s, 1980s, 1970s, 1960s and on...
At some point, people who have made mistakes in the past should learn to forgive themselves overtime rather than wait for others to. Since one can not control how others view them. There is no standard time frame per fault. It really just depends on how long it would take one to be truly content with themselves.
@@zionaleem8795 That's true, if someone isn't dealing with internet backlash-a modern day version of a public, mass flogging-because, for whatever reason, someone went digging through their past. I pose the questions again, how many years need to pass, for someone's past to remain past? And they're judged based on who they are NOW?
@@REJohns I mean that really depends. How long does it take to be a better person? And when did they even begin that journey of self betterment? Only one who would really know the answers to that would be themselves. Ofc there can be legal implications. Once proper Justice is served, legally you free to carry on. Public opinion is a little different. You can’t control that aspect. Because people have different opinions on Justice.

It’s not as fictional as you’d think. They’re going to release a follow-up documentary that discusses the details they changed for the sake of the film. From what I hear the main changes were basically taking a lot of Tim Ballard’s (the guy the movie is based on) stories and mixing them into one cohesive plot. QAnon, conspiracy theory originating in forum posts on the website 4chan in October 2017. Conspiracy adherents believed that U.S. Pres. With the aid of social media platforms, the theory expanded in content and geographic reach in subsequent years and resulted in legal protests as well as several violent criminal incidents.

People only like the movie because the groups they don't like (pedos) hate the movie
Bingo. This is exactly right. People on the left trying to belittle the affect of this movie and it’s importance because the creators are religious and conservative. It is mind boggling to me. No conservative would give a shit if the director was liberal if the movie was about child sex trafficking but when it’s the other way around they try to make the creators look like crazy people when really it’s the opposite. You people are watching a movie, the entirety of the movie will not be 100% accurate no movie about a real life story has ever been, but the effect and importance of the movie is the point. This is honestly so outrageous and shows the true colors of people on the left.
It’s also not helping that people on the right drop videos about the movie with the title “The leftist elite hate this movie”
QAnon supporter goes on an "operation" privately funded by Glenn Beck. @@tominator028I have seen conservatives crying about a black mermaid and how that's making their kids upset. I've seen people on the right being visibly upset about anything progressive. I have never seen the left try to make an eight year old have a baby or try to kill women who want an abortion which in itself is hypocritical.
Mel Gibson is cool

I will not see SoF not because of the controversy but because the subject matter would make me sad so it will remain unknown to me directly if it's a qanon movie or not. I just would hope there are no gross scenes with child actors like there were in Cuties.
If there were scenes like that, that would be super ironic.
I will say that sound of freedom is a very unpleasant experience, but a very important one. If you have not seen it, please do.

Exactly. Grow up internet people
@@zionaleem8795 That's true, if someone isn't dealing with internet backlash-a modern day version of a public, mass flogging-because, for whatever reason, someone went digging through their past.
@@zionaleem8795 With all due respect to the depth of your answers, my questions were rhetorical and meant to invoke a few thoughts out there.

@@sethisevilone02 How is it helpful if most trafficking is done by family or friends of the victims in the US, not random kidnappings that movies like this perpetuate?
It’s not as fictional as you’d think. They’re going to release a follow-up documentary that discusses the details they changed for the sake of the film. From what I hear the main changes were basically taking a lot of Tim Ballard’s (the guy the movie is based on) stories and mixing them into one cohesive plot. They also had to downsize some things: the raid that happens on the island actually rescued over 100 children, but in the movie they rescued 54 children to fit their budget. I am curious to see what things were changed from the original stories though.
Mel Gibson shouldn't be compared to these terrible people.
The problem with celebrity worship
I hate chris brown. When someone dares to let him feature in their song, I skip the song. I don't care how much I like the main artist, knowing chris brown is still accepted by anyone is nuts
Don't forget James Gunn literally boasted about being a fan of NAMBLA on twitter and wanting to rape Sanjaya, but then tried to backpedal and say he said all of those things because he was a "provocateur." Shit he said was way too fucked.
After rescuing a boy from ruthless child traffickers, a federal agent learns the boy's sister is still captive and decides to embark on a dangerous mission to save her. With time running out, he quits his job and journeys deep into the Colombian...

Sorry I'm a sane person who doesn't do social media, can someone please tell me what a Q Anon is?
QAnon, conspiracy theory originating in forum posts on the website 4chan in October 2017. Conspiracy adherents believed that U.S. Pres. Donald Trump was waging a secret war against a cabal of satanic cannibalistic pedophiles within Hollywood, the Democratic Party, and the so-called “deep state” within the United States government. With the aid of social media platforms, the theory expanded in content and geographic reach in subsequent years and resulted in legal protests as well as several violent criminal incidents.
It's a far right conservative conspiracy theory

Movies are an artform. Just because you're against a certain idea, let's say serial killing, doesn't mean that you can't enjoy Se7en. It's a piece of art. It shouldn't be look at as a twitter post or something. The creator's beliefs don't align with that of the antagonist. Christ.
Everyone's against serial killings that's why we have movies and shows where those evil people are being killed, jailed or mutilated on screen. I don't know where you are going with this argument but I guess serial killers are praised for their work by creeps online.

The issue with all the Sound of Freedom controversy is NOT that people are anti-QAnon, it’s that people are MORE anti-QAnon than they are anti-child sex trafficking

@@billbill6094 I think you may be misunderstanding me: yes, child trafficking has definitely been battled far more than QAnon historically (since, like you said, QAnon is a pretty new thing).
