- Fresh donuts are very labor intensive. When we started Buy Local Bowling Green we wanted to show how owning a local business is a labor of love. Everyday 🍩🍩🍩Great American Donuts 🍩🍩🍩 makes thousands of donuts by hand for our community. What the Taing family has built in our community since 1989 is part of the American Dream. Geez this baker is good. I love how beautifully he rolled the dough and howit just bounces back. He must be a very strong man as that would be great exercise. He is So Good at cutting out the doughnuts and leaving mere lace.
That bench of his is gorgeous and any cook would be jealous of it.

I make donuts by hand at work a few nights a week and although I do believe I make good donuts, I wasn’t trained properly. Watching this is definitely going to help me work on perfecting the process. Was always curious on the proper way to fold up and then handle rolling the dough out for cutting. We have donut cutter attachments on our sheeter that automatically cut them for you but I hate it and prefer doing it by hand bc they come out way better. I do use rolling cutters (rolling pin with a bunch of cutters attached to it) as opposed to single dough cutters but I would like to try them. This man is a true artist! Much love and respect from a fellow donut maker out in CT!

Ohhh. this video just brought me back to when my dad would bring me to work with him at dunkin donuts and I'd just be amazed by what it took to make them, from mixing just the right amount of flour and water then letting them rise while working on the next batch. He'd let me cut some but I could never flip them up like shown in the video. There was only one machine there and it was to make the French crullers otherwise they was all hand cut and then fried in pure shortening

Growing up we had a donut shop nearby. The best treat was getting up early on a Saturday and walking over to buy donuts that were fresh out of the fryer

I’ve been getting doughnuts from Gads for many years, they are great. I’ve never met anyone here in BG that doesn’t like them.
Look at cuts with minimal wastage... Pure professional...
Doing this for my extra money. This is really a hardwork. Took 3 hrs to make 2 kls of donut. Salute to all donut maker.

I work at a small family owned bakery making donuts 6 nights a week. Been doing it now for about 5 months or so, we use a sheeter or if just making a little batch we will spread the doe out like he does then use a hand cutter but it's on a roller. It must be said this man is a skilled craftsman. There are much faster ways but he is so skilled and probably set in a routine it's more efficient and higher quality then using other methods for sure. Like the twist idea, we do figure 8s
