I just bought a Timberline, but same B&O 14 speaker audio. First thing I did was eliminate the double honk warning, and auto start/stop, high beams don't turn off my fog lights (live in the country and this is dangerous as I can't see stuff about to scurry across the road). Those slightly annoying features are now set from on to off, and it makes it far more wonderful.
i'd love for you to test the Naim system in the Bentleys, its the best i have ever heard :D oh and could you maybe make a list or something where you have all the scores of the cars? I would be very interested
I just got this car last week and I am just about happy with the overall package. The sound system, I felt, played tracks with strings very well especially from artists like Joe Satriani & Greta Van Fleet. But if you want thumping bass, this one is not it. Also, there was some weird distortion when I first played it out loud which now it seems to have gone. Yeah so overall its ok, just like most stock branded systems out there for mass produced family cars!
I have a 19 Ford Edge with the B&O system. Any stock stereo is sub par. However the great thing is that you can greatly enhance the sound and keep the stock head unit. Ceck out my video how I added a JL Audio DSP, speakers and amps.. wow, talk about clean sounds ! 👌 Love the ST! Trying to get one myself! 😄
I agree. My 20 Exp ST with the 14 speaker system has NO bass! I also have a CT5 Sport with the Bose Performance system - amazing! I would rate this system Tier C
@Chris-hw4mq yes overall its a looker with those 21 inch black wheels and blacked out grille etc. If you can live with its fit and finish issues and average audio its, a very impressive and fast family car.
How come these "B&O" premium systems come with craptastic speakers (at least in the Bronco it did). Ford math considers coaxial speaker as "2 speakers", which is laughable. After upgrading all of the speakers in my Bronco - using Ford math, my 10 speaker B&O system is now a 15 speaker system. 6 dash speakers, 4 kick panel speakers, 4 rear pod speakers, and a sub-woofer. God knows what wattage it is in the Bronco.
I was curious about the quality of the speakers in the B&O set because of the mixed reviews I've seen. I'm shocked that the only ones that show any poewr ratings are the rera door speakers at 25w. Honestly the build quality reminds me of late 00's Bose speakers, but with higher resistance at 4 Ohms instead of Bose at 1 Ohm. The subwoofer in the back is nothing to write home about either. It's tiny. At least the magnet structure in the B&O speakers is larger than the standard speakers.
