Thank you for showing your new plant babies. Love your tricks and tips in the UK house environment. I didn't know I could keep plants alive and thriving! ❤
I am from the UK! In Scotland ☺️ you're one of the few UK plant UA-camrs I watch and I find it very helpful as obviously my conditions relate more to yours than those in America.
Hi Patty, thank you so much for your kind words! I'm so pleased to hear that you're finding my videos both entertaining and informative. Stay tuned for more plant content and fun! 💚🌿
Carol, your comments always bring a smile to my face! I'm glad you enjoyed the unboxing and got a kick out of my shirt - I love combining fun and contradiction in my style as much as I do with my plants. Looking forward to sharing more with you! 💚🌿
Wow--happy for you and your unicorns...! And I feel the same way as you, and many of your viewers, no doubt: it's actually fun to add small plants to the collection and grow them. There's such great joy in that. I recently watched an older video of yours, and I can say you certainly are more comfortable (to say the least) in front of the camera these days. Well done, sir.
Thanks for your kind words, Dave! I agree, there is a unique joy in growing small plants. I'm glad you've noticed my progress in front of the camera too. I've definitely become more comfortable over time. 🌿
I'm watching from the UK 😉👍 I've gotta say I really think the hybrid at the end was nice than the spiritus sancti. As much of a unicorn plant as it is it just doesn't do it as much for me. For me your Esmeraldense is much more of a 'unicorn' status 😊
Hi Matt! always awesome to see you here! I love how everyone has their own 'unicorn' plant. I can't wait to see how the Esmeraldense hybrid progresses, and I'll be sure to keep you updated. Thanks for watching! 😊
So lovely to see your excitement in getting your set of parents and hybrid baby, that must have been how I looked when I got the melanochrysum, gloriosum and glorious set - and I still get those butterflies. Wishing your joy to grow along with your plants 🪴 ❤
Michelle, thank you for your sweet comment! Your excitement for your own plants is so inspiring. I hope my joy grows along with these beauties, too! 🌿❤
I love the ending in this video. Well done. You have the best editing in all plant related videos I’ve seen. ( I think I’d enjoy diving in on the editing part. I spent 4 hours on editing my clips and putting together only to find out at the end that I have to pay to get it out. Slice. Charlatans.
I can't wait to share updates too, Viki! It's always such a pleasure to engage with my plants and share their progress with you all. Thanks for being here with me on this journey!
Hello fellow UK plant lover! So glad you enjoyed the video. I appreciate your support and am excited to share the plants' progress with you. Stay tuned! 🌿🇬🇧
I purchased two of the rub. platinum a year ago from Ecuagenera. The roots were dried out on both. I lost one completely and babied the heck out of the other. A year later and she’s gorgeous…and has given three beautiful leaves. Good luck to you, they really are lovely plants.
I'm from the UK, and your videos are the best because I can relate to seasons, temp, etc, instead of people that go on about having everything hanging in their pergola all year round and it grows so well! Well duh, if you're in Florida or Australia...lol. Your own Spiritus Sancti...what a dream! Personally I really liked the cutucuense, but I'm a sucker for small plants too, partly because of space, partly because I get emotional about the growing process and like to feel I had a part in it.
Thanks for your supportive words! I'm glad you appreciate the relatability of my content due to location, I was the same, I love watching to videos from places like Australia and Florida, but sadly a far cry from UK weather 😅😅😅. The Spiritus Sancti is indeed a dream come true. 🌿
Hi Luis! Welcome to the world of houseplants - I'm glad you're here! And thanks for the compliment on my t-shirt. 🤣👕 Stay tuned for more plant content and happy planting! 🌿🌱
How exciting!! Dream unboxing 😍😲 Hoping they all do well for you! A Spiritus an Esmeraldence Spirit!! Thanks for info on the Cutucuence I’ve always looked at it but maybe wait an see how yours does. Lol Can’t wait for updates on this haul! 💥💥💥💚💚🫶🏼
Hello back to you from the UK, snehmaadam978! Thanks for your comment and the tip about the anthurium. It's great to have viewers like you who bring their own knowledge to our little plant community!
Super unboxing, especially as I know you go for the more unorthodox plants. Funnily enough, I recently looked at getting a pinkleyi, but unfortunately, I then changed my mind 🙄I look forward to seeing that grow, as well as the others; especially the Esmerelda Spirit. That is going to be something special; I can feel it in my bones 😂😂Plus the SS doesn't really wibble my thrusset, so I think the hybrid will outshine it. And as always, I can't wait for updates.
Carey, your comments always bring a smile to my face! I'm glad you enjoyed the unboxing. I can't wait to see how the pinkleyi and the Esmerelda Spirit develop, I'll be sure to keep you updated! Love the wibble my thrusset 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 never heard that before, will be definitely using it 😂😂😂😂🙌🙌🙌💚🌿
Nice haul! Also watching from the UK. Looking forward to the update video, especially the cutucuense. I'm so tempted to try one but I'll wait to see how you get on first :)
Aloha Memo, No, I’m not watching from the UK!!! A couple ponds away in Maui, haha…. Yes, Yes, Yes, you had to get the Esmeraldense X Spirtius!!!!!!! Not even a question?!?!? Darn, I’ve been real good the past two months, not receiving plant boxes in the mail, but EsXSp is definitely going on the Bucket List. Shifted my attention to DIY PON, with ferns, prayer plants, anthuriums, Alocasia’s, & other Diva’s. ***With the plan of making an 8’x8’ vertical plant wall*** The VPW has been on my bucket list for a while not, but trying to grow big leaves on moss poles took over, front stage. Currently in process of propagating over 250 small 3”-4” babies in DIY Mix of: -LECA, Black lava cinder, lg chunk Perlite, Zeolite, Pumice, & BioChar. Plan to build 8’ long water trough at bottom, & drip system that trickles down through the PON, with ferns & Ariods….. Good Luck with the new Babies, especially EsXSp!!!!!
Aloha from the other side of the world! It's great to see your name popping up in my comments again - I always appreciate your unwavering support! Your ambitious plans for a vertical plant wall sound truly fantastic. An 8’x8’ vertical plant wall? That's quite an endeavor! It's going to be an amazing sight once it's all set up and thriving. You've always been creative in your planting methods and I'm absolutely certain that your expertise and determination will yield fantastic results. Growing large leaves on moss poles might have taken the center stage for a while, but I'm really excited to hear about your new focus. The effort you're putting into DIY PON with such a diverse mix of plants is commendable. Ferns, prayer plants, anthuriums, Alocasias and other Divas - your collection sounds absolutely delightful! As for your propagation project, over 250 small 3”-4” babies in DIY Mix of LECA, Black lava cinder, large chunk Perlite, Zeolite, Pumice, & BioChar, wow! Your mix sounds well-balanced and great for growing healthy plants. And finally, about the EsXSp, it's indeed an irresistible plant. The beauty and the rarity make it an absolute must-have for any plant enthusiast. I'm so excited for you to get one and I can't wait to hear about your journey with it. Once again, thanks for always being there and for your continuous support. Your positive energy is truly infectious. Here's to growing our plant collections and sharing our love for plants! 🌿🌿🌿
Never hide your crazy. 🤣 Love the shirt today. It reminds me of David Rose but with much more fun personality! That’s your new name. Fun David. Hope you like it.
"Fun David", I like that, Mandy, I love that show!!!! I'm all about spreading joy and a bit of eccentricity through my passion for plants. Thanks for your continuous support!
The last plant was so beautiful! I've just managed to add a small cutting of a Philo esmeraldense narrow form to my collection, which like many others I only became aware of because of your beautiful plant. My top wishlist plant now is the philodendron patriciae, long rippled leaves are just the vibe 😁
Wooow what a wonderful unboxing, I’ve just placed and order from ecuagenera in their 30th anniversary sale, watching you from the UK. Your greenhouse is my dream 😍
I knew there had to be a spiritus! And then i thought MAAAAYBE you got a variegated spiritus… but omg that Esmeralda soirit… last thing I was expecting.. and in my opinion beats a variegated spiritus! Can’t wait to see how it does in your care!!!!! Xxxx
I am Greek, and I believe that the term took the name from Helios (means sun) which is the reason why Greece took the name Hellas as well. So I believe that it took the name from the sun and maybe means that can thrive in a sunnier position than the other philodendrons😊
Best wishes for growing the Cutucuense. I'm on my third. It has not been an easy grower. I keep it in ambient conditions which means humidity of about 50%. This time around it's been in pon and no drainage for about six months and has been the happiest/most stable.
"They can play with my mealybugs" 😅 I admire your calmness 🙂 I guessed correctly - it is Spiritus Sancti, yeay 🙂 Congratulations 🙂 I hope we will hear updates on its growth, care, etc. OMG, you got a hybrid of SS and Esmeraldense - it nearly knocked me of my chair :-D I didn´t know it even existed 🙂So beautiful 😍 I went last week to Ecuagenera´s pop up shop in Prague and saw there few SS seedlings - couldn´t believe I actually saw it in person and the price was not mad for what it is
I'm glad you enjoyed the unboxing, and yes, they can play with my mealybugs😅 Seeing the SS hybrid was indeed a shocker, I'm as excited as you are to see how it grows! Awww did you have a good time at the Prague event? I heard it went really well 💚💚💚
Hi from the UK! It's always a joy to connect with fellow UK plant enthusiasts. I'm so glad that the plants seem to have traveled well - hoping for the best! 🤞🤞🤞🤞🍀🍀🍀😅😅😅
Hi Memo, congratulations on your wish list Phioldendron SS! I got him and P. Joepii a couple months ago and so far SS is growing faster than Joepii. Also I can highly recommend to you and other fancy foliage lovers two fast growing Philodendrons - 69686 and Delinksii.
Hey Memo, I'm from the UK, this is quite surprising to learn that you don't have maximum number subscribers for here 🤔 I thoroughly enjoy your videos because I love how you get nerdy over plants like me and experiment with them xx Good luck with your new babies, hope they thrive i your care. Much love ❤️
Hi Sue 👋👋! I'm so glad to hear that you enjoy the 'nerdy' plant content - it's just so much fun to dive into the details, isn't it? Can't wait to share updates about the new babies with you. Yeah not sure why I don't have many UK subscribers, but this comments section is giving me hope that there are quite a few lovely UK people out there 🥰🥰🥰
I just ordered a Splendidum and I bought a plastic box for it. The box is staying at 92-93% humidity so I’m hopeful I can keep it alive! The Cutucuense just gets too big for me to even attempt it. Good luck!
Caroline, that sounds like a great setup for your Splendidum! It can be a challenge to accommodate larger plants like the Cutucuense, but I'm always up for a challenge. 😁 Thanks for your good wishes and support! 🌿
Another one from The UK here....congratulations on your newest additions....would be interested in knowing what`s available if you`re planning a clear out!
What a great haul. You got a Spiritus. Myself I didn't have any luck with the Cutucuense, but I think you will manage to keep it alive. Oh by the way, a huge warning, stay away from live sales. It is bad for your wallet. LOL.
Hello there! I totally understand the struggle of finding room for more plants. It's a good problem to have, right? Thanks for watching and commenting! 🌿
A tip on rubriocintum its a diva . I have one growing in greenhouse its a spider mite magnet its an upright climber like El choco. Hard to keep leaves from browning also. If you can overcome this plz give tips. Ty
A disfrutar ahora 👍. Un saludo 💌
Hola Maria! 🌿💚
Congratulations on your Philodendron SS!!! Looks so cute when it’s tiny. I’m going to an Ecuagenera pop up here in Montreal in a couple of weeks. Never been before! I’m excited, although I missed the pre-order date 😣, I am hoping I will find a couple of goodies there 🪴💚
Thank you! The Philodendron SS is indeed a cutie, and I'm thrilled to see how it matures. I'm wishing you all the best at the Ecuagenera pop up - I'm sure you'll find some lovely treasures there! The ones here, even if you haven't pre ordered, there are usually loads of plants that they bring over. 😍🌿💚
Hey hey recovering latin nerd here: When speaking LATIN: -ae sound like the letter i, as in the word “fly” -i gets a sound like the letter e, as in the word “flee” HOWEVER In science/anglicized Latin this is basically switched, SO: -ae gets a sound like the letter e, as in the word “flee” [billietiae] -i (specifically at the end of a word) gets a sound like the letter i as in the word “fly” [sharonii] Internally, i still makes the e/flee sound which is why billietiae is tricky- the i and the ae at the end of the word mean you basically have to make the same ee sound twice in a row. (Also why the double ii in sharonii makes different sounds) Let me know if further clarification is needed!
Wow, thank you so much for that very comprehensive clarification! As someone who's just diving into the Latin aspects of plant taxonomy, this is super helpful. I feel much more confident about my pronunciation now, all thanks to your generous help! 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌💚💚💚🌿🌿🌿🤓🤓🤓
I got my spiritus also from them at the same time. It looked exactly the same including very similar that one leave damage. 😅 i put mine in lechuza but it rotted first new leaf off and some roots. So i put him into prop box with moss for two weeks and he rerooted veyry well. He is now back in lechuza and i am waiting gor new leaf.❤🎉❤
I do fine it what one may call boring when everyone has the exact same plants and mostly they are plants I may not be a fan of any of them. But your unboxings are dangerous, hehe. You have way to similar tastes as me and that is great but I am still to much of a wimp to ship from out of the UK. Hope they do well and thrive Great video have fun Im from the uk. I find it really useful to watch plant stuff from here. As i feel i have more of a chance to find said plants or keep them happy in my standard home environment
Great imports, and super excited to see your PSS grow! I got one from Ecuagenera at the start of the year for about 1.5x what you got yours for, and a bit more juvenile, so I can say you got yours for a great price! 🎉 With regards to speed of growth, I would actually say it’s a consistent grower, and has given me like one leaf a month, each getting more of that bunny-eared, elongated shape! It loves constant watering, in my experience. Keep us posted, please! 🪴
Honestly, I just wish ecuagenera customer service wasn't has horrendous as it is. They sent me a giant waterburyanum that cost a lot of money. It arrived with a dead giant leaf. The other giant leaf had to have 70% of itself cut off and the smaller leaf is now eating itself. Wasn't offered to be resent the plant was was inly offered a small refund despite the plant being the opposite of what I bought. I asked for advice on bringing it back and all I got was "cut of dead leaf"
That was sooo exciting Memo, do love an unboxing video, so very few from UK creators. Love it that you go for plants that are more unusual than the “normal” ones people go for. I’ve only seen 2 of the ones you got, the cutucuense and the rubrocinctum platinum before those were American creators, oh and of course the SS and I think I’ve only seen one of those from a British creator. I am really looking forward to the updates on all of those beauties in the very near future. 🪴💚
Kathy, thanks so much for your kind words! I'm glad you're enjoying the unboxing videos. It's always fun to explore more unusual plants. Stay tuned for updates on these rare beauties! 🌿💚
Hi from Ontario Canada. I got so excited when I saw a new video from you. And then even more excited when I realized it’s almost an hour long.
Im watching you from The Netherlands ❤
Hello to the Netherlands! Thanks so much for tuning in and being a part of this plant-loving community. 💚🌿
Thank you for showing your new plant babies. Love your tricks and tips in the UK house environment. I didn't know I could keep plants alive and thriving! ❤
Absolutely will be watching for an update video! So excited for your very own spiritus, and the hybrid is fabulous! Thanks for a really fun unboxing ❤
Thank you, Katherine! I'm excited to share an update video in the future. I'm glad you enjoyed the unboxing. ❤
I am from the UK! In Scotland ☺️ you're one of the few UK plant UA-camrs I watch and I find it very helpful as obviously my conditions relate more to yours than those in America.
Well, that was fun! I love your new plants 🪴 Thanks for sharing your plants and your love of plants! 💚🪴 I leatn so much from your videos 😊
Hi Patty, thank you so much for your kind words! I'm so pleased to hear that you're finding my videos both entertaining and informative. Stay tuned for more plant content and fun! 💚🌿

I just love your videos! You introduce me to such great plants. I'm in the USA
I'm glad you enjoy the videos! I love being able to introduce new and interesting plants to my viewers. Thanks for watching from the USA. 🌿
Awesome unicorn plants! Also, love your contradictory t-shirt..camouflage & colorful flowers. Thanks for sharing that fun unboxing Memo!
Carol, your comments always bring a smile to my face! I'm glad you enjoyed the unboxing and got a kick out of my shirt - I love combining fun and contradiction in my style as much as I do with my plants. Looking forward to sharing more with you! 💚🌿
I live in the UK. I love your scientific approach to your plant care. Good luck with your unicorn plants
Your thumbnail got me so excited, can’t wait to see what you got!!!
Ohhhhh yay, I hope you get as excited as I was unboxing them 😊💚🌿
The plants look fabulous but the best part of the video is your awesome shirt! 😀 love it!
Hey Laura! Thanks so much, I love that shirt too! 😁 And yes, the plants are incredible, aren't they? Thanks for watching and commenting!

I am so glad you got your SS, we all know how much you wanted this bad boy 😉 I hope it grows lovely for you xx
Uk here btw
I'm watching from the UK 😉👍 I've gotta say I really think the hybrid at the end was nice than the spiritus sancti. As much of a unicorn plant as it is it just doesn't do it as much for me. For me your Esmeraldense is much more of a 'unicorn' status 😊

Hey hey from overcrowded London 😂 my god I was gasping with every plant you showed such an awesome haul ❤

Sherry, your comments always light up my day! I'm as excited as you are to see how these plants do. I promise to keep you updated with their progress!
Hello from India, love all the unusual plants. The anthurium that is usually crossed with the warocqueanum is the anthurium waterburyanum.
Hello back to you from the UK, snehmaadam978! Thanks for your comment and the tip about the anthurium. It's great to have viewers like you who bring their own knowledge to our little plant community!
Love everything about this video Memo!! I’ve got a couple on your list and I’m excited to see how they grow for you 💚

@@Houseplantygoodness it is indeed! I got a ticket to the Birmingham another plant swap. Never been to one before, will you be going? 🙂
👋 I'm in the UK. Fabulous haul,
Hello to the UK! I'm so glad you enjoyed the haul. Thanks for watching and commenting! 🇬🇧🌿
Watching from south of England x
Amazing Sue thanks for letting me know 👋👋👋 Hey from East Anglia 👋👋👋
Hi Memo, congratulations on your wish list Phioldendron SS!
I got him and P. Joepii a couple months ago and so far SS is growing faster than Joepii.
Also I can highly recommend to you and other fancy foliage lovers two fast growing Philodendrons - 69686 and Delinksii.
Hey Memo, I'm from the UK, this is quite surprising to learn that you don't have maximum number subscribers for here 🤔
I thoroughly enjoy your videos because I love how you get nerdy over plants like me and experiment with them xx
Good luck with your new babies, hope they thrive i your care.
I’m here!
Yayyyy, I hope you enjoy Kathy 😊🙌💚🌿
21:12 oh boy. Never thought I’d hear plantyers hoping for bugs but I agree. Let us know what you found.
I’m in North Wales, UK. Love the channel ❤
I'm so glad to hear you love the channel, Cathy! Thanks for watching from North Wales, UK. ❤
What a great haul. You got a Spiritus. Myself I didn't have any luck with the Cutucuense, but I think you will manage to keep it alive. Oh by the way, a huge warning, stay away from live sales. It is bad for your wallet. LOL.
Thanks for the encouragement, May! I hope I'll be able to keep the Cutucuense thriving. And haha, I'll try to stay away from those live sales. 😂
Watching from Wales U.K. 👋
Hi from East Anglia, Karen! Thanks for tuning in and being a part of our plant-loving community!💚🌿
Watching from the UK! :)
Cool shirt!!
south coast here, enjoyed the video, no room for anymore plants though ;-)
Hello there! I totally understand the struggle of finding room for more plants. It's a good problem to have, right? Thanks for watching and commenting! 🌿
A tip on rubriocintum its a diva . I have one growing in greenhouse its a spider mite magnet its an upright climber like El choco. Hard to keep leaves from browning also. If you can overcome this plz give tips. Ty
Hey there! Thanks for the tip about the rubriocintum. I'll definitely keep a close eye on it and share any insights I gain about its care. 🌿
Uk! ❤
Hi back to you, Lindsay! It's always wonderful to connect with viewers from the UK. Thanks for your support!
My PSS is a FAST grower and super easy growing.
That's great to hear about your PSS. I'm hoping mine will be a fast grower too. 🌱
@@Houseplantygoodness enjoy! Its a fun grow. Youll do amazing 😊 thanks for all the great videos.
Hey hey recovering latin nerd here:
When speaking LATIN:
-ae sound like the letter i, as in the word “fly”
-i gets a sound like the letter e, as in the word “flee”
HOWEVER
In science/anglicized Latin this is basically switched, SO:
-ae gets a sound like the letter e, as in the word “flee” [billietiae]
-i (specifically at the end of a word) gets a sound like the letter i as in the word “fly” [sharonii]
Internally, i still makes the e/flee sound which is why billietiae is tricky- the i and the ae at the end of the word mean you basically have to make the same ee sound twice in a row. (Also why the double ii in sharonii makes different sounds)
Let me know if further clarification is needed!
So the plant in question is (to my knowledge/best guess) arisEEma
Wow, thank you so much for that very comprehensive clarification! As someone who's just diving into the Latin aspects of plant taxonomy, this is super helpful. I feel much more confident about my pronunciation now, all thanks to your generous help! 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌💚💚💚🌿🌿🌿🤓🤓🤓
So happy you finally got a spiritus sancti. I'm sure it will do quite well under your care.
Good luck with cutucuense, hope it will have more will to live than mine🤭
I got my spiritus also from them at the same time. It looked exactly the same including very similar that one leave damage. 😅 i put mine in lechuza but it rotted first new leaf off and some roots. So i put him into prop box with moss for two weeks and he rerooted veyry well. He is now back in lechuza and i am waiting gor new leaf.❤🎉❤
They can play with my mealy bugs 😂😂😂😂😂😂....hello from indonesia anyway, i always enjoy your contents
Hello back to Indonesia! Thanks for your support, and I'm glad you enjoy my content. Yeah they can mingle now 😂
hi memo I would bye some plants from u I live in the UK
Hi Sam, I'm thrilled to know you're interested in purchasing some plants. Please stay tuned for any updates about potential plant sales! 💚🌿
💜💜💜
US here
Thanks for watching from the US! 🌿
I’d be interested in purchasing however the shipping and customs would be insane, no? Ontario Canada
I do fine it what one may call boring when everyone has the exact same plants and mostly they are plants I may not be a fan of any of them.
But your unboxings are dangerous, hehe. You have way to similar tastes as me and that is great but I am still to much of a wimp to ship from out of the UK.
Hope they do well and thrive
Great video have fun
Im from the uk.
