Great vid. My boss would of walked me out of the shop for not protecting those flange faces. Seen it happen.
I know I fucked up my fair share of them, I would always try to use the Anti spatter Goo on the face to prevent spattter from sticking to them
@@never2be07 what I used to do was I would cut up an old welding jacket to cover the flange face or any threaded hold
If you have a shop you have the freedom to do what you want to do. Following orders all the time make the job harder. Leave no room for creativity
I used duct tape over all threaded area. My boss mid gauge grabbed my rod and broke up the top half to prevent arcing out . I didnt even touch anything with it. Im like wo ! dude ! im mid gauge here.
Would have* basic english man
Glad to see the tig torch was left alone. Time is money. Wire fed ftw.

Been following you for a while bud. Nice work. Am now a retired welder.
Just keep cleaning your shroud.
Where’s your ‘ stacks of dimes ‘ ha ha. Oh yeah, this is real welding
Some great skills you have😄. Both - welding and fabricating. I loved the trick with the chalk and level to find the center of the pipe. But what would be your prep for the root if it was a fixed position?
i usually have no landing edge and a smaller gap so i can just control the amps to get my penetration
Which part of the video does he do the chalk and level trick?thanks
