More pipefitting/fabrication videos please!, new people getting into welding is going to be hard getting a job without knowing how to fit/fab after finishing welding school, unless you’re really plugged in good.
Great welding Day thanks for your patience and Time. Here in Honduras we don't have that kind of facilities but we do the best for learning how to weld. Blessings from Honduras.
Freakin awesome! I’d love to spend a week with the whole crew learning from one another. Would make good content too, all the squad members teaching one another, sounds like an awesome time!
As a pipefitter for 50 years, I say you are smoking! Never saw a blue book when I did it, just a wrap around. Made some nice fits in the inner bottoms of those Navy ships. Ingalls Pascagoula. Thanks for what you do.
Very nicely done, these are things that should be taught as part of welding school, I know in the early 90s they weren't teaching this in my college tech school. Stay safe and God bless
you did a great job... when you mark the header i said you wont cut it but you did..Thank you for the complete lecture... am a Pipe fitter....i use pipe chat for calculation but now i use pipe Apps to do my jobs 3x faster than any piping book....Thank you for your formula its fast too and the work flow is snoot...
Hey this is Jeff mungai again I appreciate your Marine Corps banner in the background there I’m guessing you were serving in the military thank you for your service to our country sir and to anybody else who might be watching this video thank you for your service to our country is the Jim Mungai from kennerdell Pennsylvania
I love how y'all are teaching fitting as well as welding. IMO a top hand needs to know both, even if he prefers 1 or the other. Also, that's A BEAUTIFUL bevel on your lateral! I wish I was the welder, lol
Would’ve been easier to use receipt paper. Get your circumference. Fold 4 times and cut the corners off. Put it back around pipe. That’ll lay out your 16 marks.
its a school. obviously a veteran journeyman out on the field is gonna speed up the process with tons of little tricks like what you mentioned. learning the long/thorough way of doing something and then figuring out how to do it an easier and faster way is part of what makes you better at anything you do as opposed to learning how to cut corners from the get go.
@@richarddavis1413 I teach pipefitting at CMEF in laporte TX and I teach them receipt paper or drywall tape. I show them the center finder and level and square but they ain't making top pay and it's faster and just as accurate. no sense in taking 45 minutes when you can do it in 5
When I oxy cut I like to use some developer spray (for dye penetration testing). When you scribe through it leaves a really fine line and the white colour contrasts really well with the dark steel. I can see my markings clear as day when I’ve got my screen on.
You know I really absolutely appreciate your tenacity to do good quality work I’ve watched your videos before in the past I really enjoy your devotion to the fabrication business welding and all that hair I have to admit I’ve had a couple of bloody Mary’s so I got a little buzz going on right now but not so much that I can’t appreciate I do appreciate normally what you’re doing but the people that who initially figured that stuff out my hats off to them it really is I have a an old miller AC DC 250 welding machine it’s an old machine I’ll tell you what that thing works really good you can hook it up to 20 or 440 I have a dynasty to 210 do TIG welder I have an old Lindy 160 wire feed welder man everybody that uses it wants to buy it anyway I bought that machine out in Seattle from a guy who did paint and body work on squirting .023 23 wire In the old mug machine and I just learned something Jody Collier I have a full bottle medium size bottle of 7525 argon and he said if that’s been sitting for a while and laid on the floor and roll it back-and-forth a few times it’ll work better I never knew that😊❤🎉🎉
Thank you for this. A bit of coverage of the cut angles on the header and branch would be useful for many. Could also cover sit in, sit through and sit on with no header opening, that would be just the ticket guys!
The way I had been taught in my local was that the circumference of the pipe is listed in one of the books, or you could measure it, then divide that by your 16 sections. I do like this method, but I'm not sure I trust those centering levels that much. Great video guys. Please keep it up. I've been watching weldtube since y'all started
Great video guys a lot of good information striving to learn more everyday of welding and fitting especially seeing as I want to work for myself as a rig welder 🔥
Another great video, I’m still breaking out as a fabricator, so far my biggest struggle seams to fitting 1/2” BW pipe/fittings, especially so when the iso calls for offsets and weird angles. Is there a simple way to fabricate small fittings, maybe a makeshift clamp or something.

Very good explain, todo mi apoyo por los pasos bien explicados, con otras palabras.. hay que pasar del libro a la práctica y al igual que la soldadura queda mucho mejor en la memoria con la práctica.
How long did this whole process take? I could see myself easily spending 3 or 4 hours maybe even more just cutting everything out and fitting it up. I’m in welding school right now and I’m just curious how long this would usually take and how long would be acceptable in the eyes of an employer
I have studied and worked in metalworking for almost 5 years, and I would say with prep about 2.5 hours, but once you do it a load of times it gets faster.

You name it
Question
1. How to lay out the header hole
2. How much degrees the bevel of the branch and also the header hole bevel

Quality stuff from David as always. Can’t wait for the weld up could watch his work all day.

These guys make some quality work!!!! Very knowledgeable and informative
Thank You 🙏
Phenomenally detailed and complete video. Thanks guys!!
Well done. Clean, accurate, and I learned a couple of trade tricks watching.
Thank you.I always feel like you are my good friends.

This is great, currently detailing (drawings) for 14" pipes with many turns. This gives great insight on the whole process thank you

Who has receipt paper in 2022 ? Best thing is to learn by degree
@@richarddavis1413 most fitters 😂

I learned with receipt paper. And some old timers would get in your ass for using a tape instead of a stick rule
Great craftsmanship. I applaud you.
WOW ! WOW! YOU GUYS ARE SO HELPFUL! THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR GREAT KNOWLEDGE WITH US ALL
This guy knows his stuff, good job
Think again senior😂
Lay out. Was ok but fit not so much
Nice work 👍 Clear and easy to understand, keep it up!
Absolutely amazing. I love this stuff man. I wish I was doing it myself.

I will never do this type of welding in my lifetime, but I found the video fascinating and really well put together. Thank you!

Woow this is amazing,..and it is good for us new coming artisans so we learn and gain experience from it big up👊 big man🙌
Love this. Very interesting, very educational. The world needs more of this.
and thats how that is done ladys and gents. nice work.
Nice skills with the torch
Thank you , I like your vids and break downs , looking forward to take a course with you some time in the future🤙🏾
Thank you for the great tips you can also scribe the line with a thin cutting disc quicker than using centre punch
Good one. Try a 3” cordless grinder.
Thanks for training
I learned as well
nice job dude. makes me want to tig the root so bad...love your tutorials.
An EXCELLENT explanation Sir!

Great video guys. Please keep it up. I've been watching weldtube since y'all started
I would love to see how they'd weld this kinda pipe and how long it would take for stick welding and TIG welding.
Weld tube you guys are awesome. Great job.
Use a cash register tape much easier fold it make 16 increments use 1" angle iron mark lines take measurements and cut your pipe
nice work, it's very helpful my friend👍
Nice tutorial. Thank you
You can also use receipt paper folded in half with 16 folds, then clip the corners while it’s folded
Beautiful job
Very nice and clear.. thanks
Great video guys a lot of good information striving to learn more everyday of welding and fitting especially seeing as I want to work for myself as a rig welder 🔥

Do you guys have a video where you went more in-depth on how to generate your x-ray level bevels on this lateral piece it is kicking my ass
i learned a lot watching this. thanks very much. you do great work.
That’s pretty. Nice work 👍
Beautiful fit up
I love this Chanel thanks you guys
Great knowledge
I liked that. Awesome video.
I use arc length computation to find distances in those degrees.
💯 solid craftsmanship.
man are you 100 % pipe fabricator
Great Job
Nice Fitting!

Sir very lovely fitup
Great video!
Terimakasih ...sangat membantu.....good job...
Come on, Mr cerisa your my mentor on this one ✌✌
Fantastic skill level 👌. Video is probably a bit misleading as you guys make it look easy. Thanks for sharing your time and effort 👌
thank you 👍👍👍
the saddle is carved very well, but the markings from and to .... made difficult and long. It is done much easier and with fewer tools.
How do you lay out the pipe if you can't bring the litter pipe to it in the field to draw out the hole ?
Good job 👍
Awesome video Weldtube Team!
You make it look easy tocayo 💯
🙏
What would you use to cut stainless where a torch isn’t allowed?
great tutorial
Very good explain, todo mi apoyo por los pasos bien explicados, con otras palabras.. hay que pasar del libro a la práctica y al igual que la soldadura queda mucho mejor en la memoria con la práctica.
You should also show how to calculate it from isometric drawing
Great job 💪✨
Nice work very nice video
Excellent
Good video. Where did you get those book? How can I get it?
Thank you
You're supposed to cut the bevel in with the torch, and you covered your bevel on the straight run.
Nice job
i need pipe fitter blue book
did the pipefitters blue book show how to cumpute? or directly answer the only thins you do is to lay out and to make a pattern.....
Saya sangat suka melihatnya..cara yang sangat benar membuat 45..

Maybe one hour depends how fast you are welding will take longer
I have studied and worked in metalworking for almost 5 years, and I would say with prep about 2.5 hours, but once you do it a load of times it gets faster.
When looking at the pipe straight onater you put the cut piece on, it was definitely pointing towards the left.... was this an accident
Blue book!
Love the fitup. What kind of wheel is on your grinder when you are grinding the inside bevel?
You surely have a lot of patience, I bet that was hard to learn. Nice video.
Just proper prep and patience grinding makes a good fit they are never perfect but can come out nice 👍
What brand are those Safety glasses?
Hell yeah! Nice work! 😎
How do I get the pipefitter blue book?
Gostaria saber nome dessa ferramenta vc usou pra bate punção
Thanks
where can i buy that blue book?
