Begin your journey at the iconic Edinburgh Castle, perched majestically atop Castle Rock. This historic fortress offers panoramic views of the city and a deep dive into Scotland’s storied past. Wander down the Royal Mile, a bustling street that stretches from the castle to the Palace of Holyroodhouse. Here, you’ll encounter street performers, quaint shops, and historic landmarks at every turn.
For a taste of Edinburgh’s mysterious side, explore the underground vaults of Mary King’s Close. These hidden streets, buried beneath the city, tell tales of plague, intrigue, and everyday life in the 17th century. If you’re a fan of literature, a visit to the Writers’ Museum is a must. Celebrate the lives and works of Scotland’s literary giants, including Robert Burns and Sir Walter Scott.
