I will record more first-person videos like this because I can't showcase a lot of famous courses due to the high demands of my usual third-person view streams. I currently have a 2080 card with an i9-9900, but once I upgrade my PC, I will be able to show every course. So, excuse the suboptimal visuals and enjoy the video!

Thanks for sharing. I bought this on Steam for 10$ If is very realistic from what a non-golfer like me can tell. I had to watch a video on how to swing the club for real before I could hit the ball. And it will take hundreds of hours before I can approach your ability! Works exceptionally good on my system. AMD 6750 XT and Gen 5, 8 core CPU. Everything on the highest. with good fps. using Meta Quest 2 and golf handle on the controller.

@@futureofgolf Thanks for the invite. When I can get constantly below 90, I will give it a go. I'm still at the basic level. I can only play at night also. Because of the heat where I live. Players meet up on discord?

@@Howie47 Yes, I created a whole Discord server dedicated to the TGCVR community, where we can meet, play together, and get assistance if needed. Where do you live? What time zone are you in? I would love to play a round with you. We can base the scoring on handicap, so the chances of winning are even.

@@futureofgolf I live in central Florida. It is very hot, (100F) and I don't use my AC. It can't even keep up. I am just starting to learn this game. From your last video I learned which of the two wind pointers was the wind and which was pointing towards the hole! I still have a lot of problems setting the ball at the correct distance from my feet. And didn't know there was a problem with the "woods", as you said in the video. On top of all that I'm still getting my equipment and settings together for the best experience possible. I'm using Quest 2. Will it even provide a good swing of the club? So, hang on for a little while. I'd love to have someone to play with.

@@Howie47 Nice! Florida is quite hot, yeah! Regarding the clubs that are not accurate, it's the 4+5 Iron and the 3 Wood. I recommend using the 5 Wood as a fairway wood and for long irons, the 3 Iron or a compressed 6 Iron.
About the Quest 2: The game works with it, but due to the technology in the Quest 2 headset (sensors and tracking system), the speed caps out at around 75-80 mph clubhead speed for a mid-iron and maybe 90 mph for the driver. I highly recommend playing on the casual difficulty if you have a Quest 2. Once you find a smooth swing rhythm, try the amateur difficulty. The beginner difficulty has less power assistance than the casual difficulty, significantly lowering your distances with the clubs.
I tried TGCVR with the Quest 2 as well, and if your goal isn't to hit 300-yard drives with 130 mph speeds, it's perfect. I'd even say the short game around the green and putting are as good as with any high-budget headset.
Ah, an idea about the room setup and floor height. This is fundamentally important and, if done inaccurately, can ruin your whole golf experience. I recommend getting a program called "fpsVR," which not only provides a lot of useful information about your performance and frames but also makes it easy to recenter your space and calibrate the floor.
You should be able to take the other Quest controller and put it on the floor, maybe use some tape to mark a circle on the floor so you know exactly where to place the second controller for consistent playspace. Once you place the controller, you can fix the floor and recenter it, ensuring the floor height is correct. It might be possible within the SteamVR settings too, but I use fpsVR to calibrate it and quickly change the height in 0.1 increments if the automatically adjusted floor height isn't accurate.
