So I just got this tune on my 2024 R1 got it back yesterday, I also purchased the code scanner to clear the codes after install ( you need an adapter to use it that no one mentioned lol). Unplugged the O2 sensors leaving them in the exhaust and followed the instructions bike started and idled way nicer then before but engine light was on took it for a spin down the street and ran horrible quick shifter was horrible was thinking I made a mistake, next day headed to the bike shop to clear the codes and when I stopped for gas like 5 miles from my house the bike had cleared the code it's self, now the bike runs unbelievably better it's so smooth the auto blip on down shifts is amazing it spits blue flames I absolutely love it bike just needed a few miles to correct its self 🤗🤗 highly recommend Moore mafia tunes!!
Pretty sure R1’s are inline 4’s, they only sound the way they do because of the firing order of the pistons (cross plane crank) which gives it that rumble 👍🏼

Always been my dream bike. If you could change the modes from full power to pop/bang and back again, that would be awesome. Be able to switch it depending on where you are or what you want to do.

I like setting EBM to 3, the bike doesn't engine brake nearly as muchand it also POPS AND BANGS on decel way more. 100% tried and true.

I'm about to receive my new yzf r1 and I saw on the Woolich site that all versions of ECU R1 2020 to 2023 are noted as "Read type: send in to read". Did you have to send the ecu back to Woolich for unlocking and then allow access via the software? On my R6 2019, all I had to do was flash the ecu once to enable reading and modification. What's the situation with the latest R1 models? thank you for your help and reply. Regards

Yamaha just won't be selling the road legal R1 in Europe. It will be sold track-only in Europe. Yamaha will continue selling the road legal R1 in other markets

But I dynoed my R1 2022 race bike with full Akrapovic, GYTR ECU and so on and my bike made 204hp on the rear wheel This tells me that the we have not used the same settings on the dyno since there is no way there could be such a difference.
@@brandonbeznoska nope, rwhp. I have seen the same difference on bikes imported from the US. Change to EU loom and ECU or GYTR stuff and the bike is transformed completely
Can’t really compare different dynos on different days. They usually try to compensate, but weather changes can make a big difference. And, even if it’s the same brand different dynos are going to be a little different from each other. About the only way to really compare numbers is to run on the same dyno on the same day.
Probably just send the ecu back. If you ordered the pops and bangs option I’m sure they’ll take care of it. If you didn’t, maybe they can just charge you for it and add it on. 🤷♂️
having all the HP has a down side also-the factory limiting the throttle is also related to chassis balance/smoothness. certain conditions call for less throttle even-though your trying to be fast. A really good rider would benefit from that tune, not so much the case with average and better than average riders. My 1000hp skyline gtr benefits allot from less throttle in certain situations, essentially on shifts and near redline-the cars momentum is smoothed-out allot when shifting gears with less torque just before redline etc. This R1 tune is more suited for quarter mile number, not so much being fast every where else
Hey guys, I'm super ignorant to tuning and was just wondering if the backfiring on deceleration is normal or not? Regardless if it is or isn't, is it bad for the engine? I already ride, but I have never considered tuning and I was starting to think about it.
Yes. Will cause over heating of the exhaust valves. You want the crackle tune, not the bang tune. It involves deceleration timing adjustments, not fuel. Most tuners are shit and don't understand how to do it.

Is there a way you could put a switch on the bars to switch the map to have the burble tune on/off. It’s cool, but I couldn’t deal with that every time I’m off the throttle.

He can adjust how much throttle it actually gives it. Otherwise you don’t need to really change the tune for other gears.
