  • According to data from the Labor Department the U.S. economy added 175,000 in April, while the unemployment rate rose to nearly 4%. Hourly wages also rose 0.2% from March and 3.9% from a year ago, which is below estimates and positive sign for inflation. ABC Action News Anchor Paul LaGrone went out this week to get Your Voice on Your Job. Do you like it, is it rewarding, do you feel economic pressures, what are the pros/cons.

    Don't have a job been retired since 2016 and loving it fishing everyday of the week and don't have to answer to anyone ever again. Most of the time I don't know what day of the week it is.

    He is talking to old people and women in the upper class part of town. Go down to a rougher area and start questioning fighting age males. This actually comes across as quite condecsending.

    We are currently in a recession. The older folks out spending money are bound to be more satisfied at a time like this.

    GOOGLE
    "Are part-time workers considered employed in economics?"
    According to the laws, *people employed for part-time jobs are considered to be fully engaged. This consideration leads to the unemployment rate understating the unemployment in the economy.*

    He asked those questions to older, visibly established Caucasians. If he really wantes to understand how people really feel about their jobs, he should've did the story in a more urban diverse area. The people he asked don't count.

      1:20 yep, Caucasian. He should have asked a more diverse group, but come on man enough with the racism.

    • @InsuranceEE
      @InsuranceEE 11 днів тому +2

      It's not racism. I call it how I see it. I feel like he was racist when he only interviewed Caucasian people. The storyline was the unemployment rate, understanding why Americans are quitting jobs. If You want the truth and clarity on that than ask the individuals that make up the majority of the unemployment rate. Why not do the report in a low income area where you're likely to find unemployed people. Why not get our opinion? Why only get their opinion.

      @@InsuranceEE Why should they only get your opinion? What makes yours any more valid than these people?
      See, that's the problem here. You can't argue for a larger group of people and then narrow it down to the one you identify with; ever individual matters. The subject wasn't just the unemployment rate it's job satisfaction as a whole (which you ironically need a job to have). I call it how I see it also - and I see someone who said one intelligent thing and then undid it by mentioning race, class, and then putting emphasis on their own group above others.

      Which group did I identify with? My argument was based on facts. Let's go back through it:
      Opinions were collected from who? Caucasians
      What race makes unemployment statistics? All
      What race makes up today's Job Market? All
      This was a arrogant / biased story to begin with Buddy

      I agree this story has no merit and no bases very one-sided
