Nice build. I'm getting a Transit Trail in a couple weeks. I like how you've left some open space. Many builds are too cramped.
Would love to see how you did the adjustable height bed. I wanna do something similar so I can still load 4x8 sheets of plywood on their side from the back of the van. Hydraulics take too much room. love how thin that beds base is too.
Also really like your use of the Wrappon toilet. We like it too although it’s not ideal for our van build design due to the need for a power source. We have looked at it for our 4WD-Mod overlanding truck builds where it would be stored in a bench…similar to what you did. :)
It’s really nice, but it’s a pricey option and seems to be getting more expensive.
@@AVCRIG Yep. Most likely just going OG Thetford for my van build.
A beautiful van, great craftmanship
Thanks!
That is a great layout Matt, it's a lot like I have planned and now I can see it in real time. I'll be making a few changes to match yours. I still don't have a delivery date for my van, but when it comes I will be popping up to see you and buy your floor and roof rack.
My daughter lives in Westminster, Co and I'll be doing the build out there.
That’s awesome! I hope your van arrives soon.
Really like the choice of electrical components. Victron is my choice for house battery, battery monitor, BMS, and battery protect. Xantrex for inverter/charger, and Renogy for DC-DC charger and solar controller. I also really like how you put all the systems controls on one control panel. I’m going low on mine so I can operate things sitting down, but then again I’m getting medium roof and plan to do more sitting than standing. Nice vid!
I did this vote system for a long time. I recently started doing the Multiplus so I can run a touch 70 controller
Hello, every van gets better and better, how did you wire 2 on/off switches for the 1 waterpump?
I’d love to see how you plumbed that grey water dump. That’s really cool
We’ll definitely be doing a grey water video. 👍👍
Amazing build. I want one.
Thanks!
Great build. AVC does some really nice work.
Thanks for showing the solar panels. I have your rack on my extended and was wondering how to install the 100w panels in that orientation without installing on top of the crossbars.
Thanks for the move comment. Glad you saw something helpful too!
I would hv a larger extinguisher inside by the sliding door.
If you watch most van fires they start at the rear and work their way forward.
Quick release and spray is paramount to protect yourselves and your van.
That’s great advice. I’ll move the kit.
Awesome rig! But there is no such thing as a hot water heater.. 😂 a water heater is the correct term.
Good point! 🫖
Nice van but it would seem to me there is a lot of weight on the driver side of the van with the kitchen, all the topside cabinets and all the water storage... But I could be wrong!!
There is a bit on the DR. We put batteries, potty, and extra low storage on the opposite side for that reason.
We have a build design that also is skewed heavy on the driver side. Thinking this can be addressed with VC spacers if needed.
There was a mention of an interior shower when you pointed out the L Track Pucks and the Vanlife Trader ad lists an indoor shower feature. I didn't see it highlighted in the video. Is there an interior shower in this build?
It’s an evershower. It’s a suitcase shower system with a circulation pump. The owner still has it at home.
I love AVC Products and would love you to design a cover for the factory steelies, to cover the inner gray area. I don't really want to paint in there.
That’s a great idea! I have a couple vans and I’d love to work on that as a project.
Matt, What are the dimensions of your Kitchen galley? I like that it's a little smaller than most.
nice
Thanks.
Nice van. I use a lot of your ideas while I'm building my HR Transit, so thank you! When you go to larger tires like that, what air pressure are you using and what can you do, if anything, to adjust the speedometer?
I’ve heard of some folks using forscan (not sure the spelling) it’s a diagnostic tool but we done have one. The 245/75/16 is just about %10 off. So if speedometer shows 50 you’re going 55.
My 3.2 liter diesel 148wb HR came stock w 3.31:1 ring gear ratio. Installed 2" lift and lt265/75r16s. Swapped in 3.73:1 r&p to compensate for tire size. Powerband RPM's are in their sweet spot.
@@AVCRIG what tires are those…they look more all season than the typical AT tires
@@granthermes1217 they are Blizzak winter tires. We were storing the van for a friend when we made this video.
Nicely done, Matt. Does the Ford factory swivel work without opening the door?
Unfortunately no. I’m not sure if it was an oversight or a “safety feature”
I would love to see the manual bed lift mechanism in a future video
We have a new manual bed coming soon.
Nice build. I am struggling to find a sink that size. What model is that?
Bar Sink, TORVA 14 x 18 Inch Undermount Kitchen Sink, Gloss Black PVD Coated Gunmetal Sink , 16 Gauge 304 Stainless Steel Single Bowl Wet Bar or Prep Sink with Zero-Radius Corners, Dark Gray a.co/d/7BvCtA8
Nice rig, how much just for the build w/o the van included? Ordered a Ford Transit and don’t know the delivery date yet.
If you email the shop I can send you pricing info. Shop@avcrig.com
Can you please explain about the width of the bed? You said 76 inch. are you using "flares" of some kind of changing the original width of the vehicle? from outside it looks flat. What is the max width in the rear area without any modifications? thank you.
You can get that side of you go into the depth of the walls. It just depends how deep you want to go with the pockets. No flare required
Hmm. No link in the description regarding the L-track ceiling decision @9:16.
Oops! I’ll get it linked. Thank you!
What on demand shower is that sae port for?
We designed it around an evershower
What Ford color is this van?
Carbonized grey
@@AVCRIG I’m been waiting for Ford to build mine, I ordered the same colour this is the first time I’ve seen it in a van and it looks great. Thanks for the tour!
Wow, Matt, terrific layout! I have many q’s for you regarding some of the components you mentioned. Could we handle those via email? Please reply here with your email and I’ll get them off to you. Thanks again!
Absolutely. Thanks for reaching out. Shop@avcrig.com
