So for the cosmere the reading order I would recommend is as follow. This way you don't miss any reference to previous book and you don't have to split a series. AU mean that they are novela inside the Arcanum Unbounded. Mistborn The Well Of Ascension The Hero Of Ages The eleventh metal (AU) Elantris Sel essay (AU) The hope of Elantris (AU) The emperor soul (AU) The Alloy Of Law Allomancer Jak (AU) Shadows Of Self The Bands Of Mourning Mistborn: secret history (AU) Scadrial essay (AU) White sand (this is a graphic novel for now but a prose version is comming) Taldain essay (AU) Warbreaker The way of kings Words of radiance Shadows for silence (AU) Sixth of the dusk(AU) Edgedancer (AU) Oathbringer Dawnshard Rhythm Of War The Lost Metal Tress Of The Emerald Sea Yumi and the Nightmare painter The sunlit man
For this month I am reading A Court of Wings and Ruin so I can start reading Throne of Glass, Keeper of the Lost Cities #2, A Witch's Guide to Fake Dating A Demon, and Magnolia Parks. The other two books I am adding to the list is The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue and Half A Soul since I am over halfway through Half A Soul from last month.
Ahhh so many good books! Magnolia Parks is at the top of my 'series tbr' this year, and I just finished Half A Soul last week! I ended up liking it so much more than I thought I was going to 😊
My TBR this month is The Cruel Prince series, I actually just finished the first one a few hours ago, then I will reread ACOMAF-CC2 to get ready for CC3! Also The Ever Queen comes out this month so I hope to squeeze that in sometime. I’m excited to hear what you think of TOG, that was my favorite series of 2023. I still think about it daily 🥹
I think starting TOG is next on my list, so many people love it and I want to be one of them! 😋 Ahh The Cruel Prince was so good, I hope you like it! And I hadn't heard of The Ever Queen, but I love a good dark romance, so the series has been added to my list! 😁📚✨
I always look forward to these videos, too! I'm actually currently reading Mistborn for the first time as well! I'm about 70% into the first book. I'm glad Lore Olympus didn't need to wait for its turn for too long! I feel like January is optimal moment to read it vibes-wise. I just finished reading Ruthless Vows, I really want to finish The Final Empire this month as well. I need to tackle The Memory of Babel by Christelle Dabos (my least favourite book in my favourite series) as well as Book Lovers that I started reading on the plane and only got so far into😅
Ahh fun!! How are you liking Mistborn so far?? I'm happy I was able to pick Lore Olympus so soon too, especially if I picked it at a good time! ☺️ I need to read Ruthless Vows too! During all the holiday madness I totally forgot it was released! Oh darn...now I might have to go to the bookstore this weekend 😏 lol
@@jenseereads Oh no, another trip to the bookstore, how horrible! 😉 Mistborn is good so far, I don't love it just yet, but I do see the enormous potential of the universe. The beginning is very info dumpy, not too dissimilar from a mandatory video game tutorial, but once the story gets beyond that moment, it flows much better! I wonder what you'll think about it when you get to it!
@@shalryma Ok, I'm actually so glad you told me that! It totally makes sense that the first book in a gigantic universe of books would have some info dumping to do, but now I can go into it more prepared! I feel like this series is going to be a "gets better as you get more into it" kind of thing and I can not wait! 😁📚✨
I’m intrigued by mistborn, I’m excited to hear your thoughts! I’m reading ruthless vows now and then I might re read acotar before the new crescent city if I have time haha 😅
Ahh I totally forgot about Ruthless Vows!! I was planning on starting TOG after The Seven Year Slip (which I'm absolutely LOVING so far), but maybe I can squeeze Ruthless Vows in before TOG 🤔 ...too many good books to read 😵💫 lol
I really want to read mistborn I hear how good his books are all the time. I don’t have a set tbr I’m definitely a mood reader but I ended up reading The Do Over already this month so I’m hoping it’s a sign for a good reading year 😂
Same! I've been hearing so many good things about Brandon Sanderson lately I had to see for myself lol Aww The Do Over was a good one! Lynn Painter is the best for cutesy feel good romances ☺️💕
Great upload and i am looking forward to the first bookhaul of the year 😊 My tbr for january are the last two percy jackson books Him by sarina bowen And emily wilde's encyclopaedia of faeries My goal this year is 50 books i wanne read more Last year i only read 17 which is okay but i have a huge tbr that needs to shrink so i can buy new books....😂😂
Thank you! 💕 Ooo that sounds like a fun tbr! I really liked Emily Wilde, it was a slow cozy story, and it left me with all the warm fuzzies. The perfect winter read! ☕️📖⛄️ And good luck with your reading goal! 😊 I just set mine as well. I'm keeping it the same as last year, but I also need to shrink my tbr 😅, so I'm going to TRY to only buy 1 book for every 3-5 books I read...we'll see how that goes 😬 lol
I hope you love Under the Whispering Door! My fiancé and I both read it and loved it. We even did a video together about the book which is on my channel.
Oh cool!! I thrifted an old copy of an illustrated edition of his writing. It's called Poe's Tales of Mystery. I would like to read that sometime this year too. ☺️📚✨
@@jenseereads fair enough! You could probably read book 1 without having read TOG but you should definitely read them before book 2. That being said, if you’re going to read them all anyway you should probably just read them in order. I’d say order is TOG then ACOTAR then CC
@@eleanorhenderson9896 I'm definitely going to read them all and I think I'm going to start TOG next (I've already read acotar), especially with the 3rd CC coming out this month. I feel so behind! lol
I read Under The Whispering Door at the end of November/beginning of December. It was the first book I have read by T.J. Klune. Unfortunately, I didn't like it, and it took me over two weeks to read. However, I did laugh a lot and loved the writing style, so I'll read more by him. I just did not care for this particular story.
I'm kind of in the same boat with Under the Whispering Door. I started it a week or so ago and I finally had to give up on it. 🫤 I might go back to it at a later date, because I like the plot and characters so far...it's just moving way too slowly, and there are too many other books that I'm excited to get to! lol 😅
