I thought that Top Gun was inspired by Ace Combat, as this kind of mission is already there from early edition... as long as I remember, there's a canyon mission on Ace Combat 5 that you have to stay low in the canyon as there's a swarm of SAMs above ready to take you down
great work in the valley. going on a bomb run without bombs or rockets is not feasible for the mission. only relying on air to ground missiles is too slow for the mission. again great work
Okay, first off, I've been trying to beat this level for 2 months now, and have not been able to. But apparently the trick is to fly the canyon at full speed. Second how do you switch from night time to daylight? And are you using a mouse and keyboard, controller stick, or a flight joystick?
It can’t be that hard to pass through it right? Just regulate speeds enough so you don’t smash into the rocks, abuse some high G movement (please don’t overdo it), and it should be a breeze. I did the mission multiple times with slow and A/B speeds with an F-22A, F-35C and F-15E Strike Eagle. P.S. I play on my PS4 so I use a controller.
Hard to watch only because of how slow he during the actual combat part. The flying through the canyon I think you're better than me. But I'm right there.
The movie should have been called Ace Combat Maverick considering it had nothing to do with Top Gun and was just a remake of the last mission in Ace Combat 6.

i really want namco to make a third/first person shooter set in the strangereal universe where you are an imfantryman watching partakimg on the same missions as the aces of ace combat. seeimg the aces fight over farbanti liberate Directus. take down the last enemy stronghold in south belka along the yuktobanian soldiers who fought against you. this base itself. those would be amazing missions to partake.
in the film it already failed if that was the way of flying, the first entry had fallen because it touched the trees, the speed was always lowered when cornering or avoiding walls
Ah this mission. The trick here is to fly just a shy 100 more speed from stall, and speed up fast when it's straight and clear. The only tricky part is how good is your pc? Mine is below this game's minimum requirement, so my game would drop frames at the worst time.
So that's not the actual maverick mission then? Wheres the climb and bomb run? Wheres the near 10g climb on the other side? Is that mission in the maverick pack or? Good run though I liked the PSM at the start, cool daylight mod too. This mission was narly in the dark
yes it's the mission 14 - cape rainy assault.... too bad the maverick pack only gave us the TGM skins and not the canyon run bombing mission. though there's mission 13 Bunker Buster resemble the bombing mission in the movie

can't slow down. and i've tried it many times. but atleast you tried. i can't even get there within 2 minutes 15 seconds or whatever the time was in the movie. holy crap it's hard going low altitude flying atleast a high speed without slowing down. i crashed and burned every time. if you can keep trying and go full speed and don't slow down. lol. good luck. i can't do it. but i know you can.
It add only the movie's aircraft and bgm for multiplayer mode, the campaign stay intact. As for this mission, it was Mission 14 with a mod to change it into daylight

That velocity vector is out to lunch. The waterline is more accurate, which is just not how it really is.
It’s more FUn to do “Super maneuvers” in Ace Combats with Actual Good Flight Models

It's a PSM move - Post Stall Maneuver, you push throttle and brake at the same time at speed under 400kmh and pull the stick down
