Something I thoroughly enjoy doing for a budget is changing all the globes in the car to LED, license plate, Parker’s, headlights, interior and reverse, maybe $80 max for all the globes and definitely sharpens up the aesthetics
Dude, you are the low-buck guru! I've been doing cheapo stuff for 50 years, and you have gotten the whole thing immediately. I agree completely with your list. A first timers' best friends are junkyards, internet forums, and Marketplace (although this grizzled ol guy thinks it sucks compared to craigslist used to be...). And as I have said before, you are the king of driveway paint jobs, I applaud you encouraging this- if it doesn't work, sand it off and try again!! I usually try to cut out the stock muffler and replace it with either a straight pipe or a cheap glasspack muffler. My daily F150 sports a Summit $16.99 glasspack, it sounds pretty much like a $500 dual exhaust... I would love to talk to you some about shade tree bodywork, I have decades of experience there, and honestly prefer that to mechanical work. I'm in NC, not totally neighbors, but I'd love to help you up your game there. Did I shudder over the LS400 fender? No... not much... It was a really good first effort. You have good editing and video, good content, and a great welcoming approach. Keep up the good work!!!
One thing i can say is if your looking to modify a car you should take up welding like i did especially if your buying a older car makes it easy to do exhaust mods and you can do your own rust repair if you live in new England like me
rear view mirror attachment for wider view led lights for interior foot wells window wints chrome delete air diffusers for your roof sway bars LED light conversion (interior, headlights, blinkers, license plate lights, brake lights and reverse) evil eye on headlights. get some vinyl wrap from autozone or reputable source and mask out a design you like mud flaps for certain cars or if you like that look cool looking lug nuts grill delete (convert stock grille to mesh) these are all really basis budget mods. not everyone will agree they look nice but i think they can seriously change the look of your car
Finding used rims and changing the tires urself on them is such a good route. U can find very bald tires being sold for cheap that have great rims. Local shop over here does a tire for 20 bucks.
underglow is in my opion very underrated, its really easy to do and you can get them kinda cheap, a rea,,y good set is around 300 but you can always get cheaper ones
I want to add to all the new ppl getting into cars. A muffler delete will not sounds as good or pop like that if it’s auto. The manual muffler deletes will always sound better
This is my list of priorities when new car comes( sorry for not perfect english, im from spain (Europe) but i follow you since a year and a half almost) 1- Engine and maintenance (oil and liquids, spark plugs, air filter...) 2- clean interiors and exteriors ,and fix all stuff in your car (broken seats, not working doors, bad windows, etc) 3- fix the "hits" in car and work on rust if exists 4-upgrade wheels 5-upgrade suspension 6-upgrade exhaust 7-now u can put front lip and interior stuff (better looking) 8-work on the visuals but ALWAYS, almost for me, is better if u go on a good mechanical bad looking car then a good looking and disaster mechanical car
If it's a track oriented build don't sleep on weight reduction! Most cars have a ton of dead weight and taking it out is FREE and can make you a lot quicker
The only things I did to my car were wheels & tires and changed the 4 speakers & add 2 twelve inch subs & 3 amps! But that's just what I'm into...not for everyone.
Hey I have a question about springs: I heard some people say they ruin the original shock absorbers, some people say they won't affect them at all. What's the truth about it?
Know a lot of people that run springs and haven’t heard anything bad from any of them. I’m actually going with springs and brand new shock absorbers instead of coilovers
The stock shocks will constantly be compressed at the lower spring height, so they will rebound like you’re going over a bigger bump, and this probably cause them to wear out over time
Thank you for not telling people to cut their springs. So many people fall for that and it's a bad idea no matter what "friend" did it and it was "just fine". Yeah no. don't ever cut your springs to lower the car.
Removing the muffler is only annoy everyone. You want good sound? Intake. A simple filter in the place of the box is cheaper than welding a tube on the muffler. And believe it or not. It's not illegal
Be careful because muffler delete don't always sound good! (It will NEVER sound "great" that for sure), for exemple some engines sounds like fart and shit, some sounds quite decent !
Depends on the car really. I have a 97 Mercedes e320 and I cut it off and it’s really not that much louder it’s just a nice low rumble that doesn’t sound too bad
Buy a good rental car and rent it out on Turo. It works. Just takes some effort. When I had my Fiesta SE I rented it out on there and it paid for the SE payment and insurance on my SE and my ST every month.

Always prioritize maintenance if you’re on a budget!
agreed
Amen, i regret not doing it
Great point. This would be for people that hopefully did maintenance already and are looking for budget mods
@@SmplBuilds Yeah for sure. Some people just need the reminder haha
Can’t believe you’re almost at 100k bro! Congrats!
Frrr I remember us being stuck at 44k

Also you can slap a body sticker on or window tint design.
Just subscribed in the last couple days. Great content!
I think instead of painting or plasti dip. For number 5 I'd say to get window tint. Tbh that is a night n day difference with window tint..
So close to 95k that's crazy!

Awesome explanation
tnx for your help it helps a lot to know where to begin
We need to get this man to 100k subs!
Have you ever used lowering clamps?

And a K&N air filter!
Here from your instagram story
Are coilovers better or lowering springs better ?
coils for advanced driving, lowering springs for a daily. That's my opinion.
Nice ideo! Stay cool bro
muffler delete would be a bad idea here in sydney if you have a slow economic cars , people on golf like to bully people a lot
Question would a borla exhaust work on a altima 2006?
Removing the muffler is only annoy everyone. You want good sound? Intake. A simple filter in the place of the box is cheaper than welding a tube on the muffler. And believe it or not. It's not illegal
which filters would u recommend
@@vectar6249 k&n. Or maybe other one. I use conical universal. Use always oil filter.
Dont forget the center bore hub size on the wheels 🤦🏻♂️ like i did, i got 5x108 but the center hub was different size

How do you put 5x120 wheels on a car with 5x114?
Please don't cut your muffler off. It's annoying AF

Hahaha thanks fam 💙
Who is this guy? He looks a lot like smpl builds but with no stache
Its a Walmart Smpl Builds 😫😂
This vid looks like it was filmed in the 90's
Lmao if I chopped my civics muffler you would hear that shit on the other side of the state. Can't even have a conversation in the cab
-Cheap front lip
-Cut the muffler
-Cut your springs
-Cheap wheels
-Plasti Dip paint
Wow
Nice budget its like 2-3k or even more
Y’all see that crash in the beginning

I don't think the muffler delete on my Tesla is working.
Might need to swap for the Charger EV muffler delete, aka bluetooth speakers

Im super broke lol budget build my car

If you just hack the muffler off you ruin back pressure >->
Just cut the springs it’s better than free
