Back in 95 my 18 year old cousins found a way to steal rolls of quarters from the vending machines at his job. we would literally spend 3 or 4 entire days at the malls playing mk3 and ultimate mk. We had estimated that we spent over 100. A week on these games. At 14 that’s a lot of money. We became so good that we travelled to various tournaments and always won. We always faced each other in the finals. He played with Jax and I played Kabal. My cousin passed away in 99. Every time I see anything mk related I think of our time together.
Mortal Kombat is still made in pretty much the same way though, except without the live actors. Same guys (with some new younger employees now) and same attitude. They made the squishy sound effects in MK X by having Dan "Toasty" Forden (who you see at the beginning of the video) & co. put their hands in a bucket of green slime and seemed to have a ton of fun. It was streamed on Twitch and it's also here on UA-cam.
@demoman1500 They should use Steve Richie to be the announcer for all MK games, cause he is epic!! I sometimes just pick certain characters to hear him say their names!
justin jacques That would be the cage dancers from Revolution X (probably Kerri Hoskins), the first stage has you going through a nightclub that Aerosmith's playing at.

YTP Lord actually, Daniel quit following a failed lawsuit against Midway regarding royalties (which he was a part of since Philip Ahn who was Shang Tsung in MK II and Elizabeth Malecki who was Sonya in MK 1 and 2 also sued)
Smalltummywonderful that is true since there was an interview with Daniel where he confirmed his resignation with Midway following the lawsuit, as well as the debunking of the myth that he got fired.
