I think Elton John's face is priceless when he watches George sore at the very end. I love Elton's voice but omg, George Michael's voice is absolutely epic. Fantastic duet and fantastic reaction.
the BEST duet elton john ever did. just a little side note.. there is NO studio version of this song. this live version is all there is and they couldn't have done it any better imho.
This is by far my favorite version of this song! I love Elton John but the combination of him and the smoothness of George Michael’s voice is perfect!!
I have been obsessed with this version since I first heard it. My best friend and I do would always do this as a dramatic, belty duet on road trips, hitting the dashboard for the dramatic drums. I never, ever get sick of it. Elton is epic Elton, George brings this passionate desperation to the song. Their voices together are absolute magic. I loved your reaction so much because your shrieks of excitement and disbelief at the amazingness match how I feel when I listen, every time. Thank you!
One of the best music collaborations in music history!!! Why is it, that, most of the tortured & sensitive souls, have the most powerful & memorable lyrics, & then, have to leave us so early *RIP George Michael, you are so missed by all who loved you and your music!!!* 💖💖💖
This was amazing. It was one of the best performances ever. George Michael has such a great voice, one of the best I’ve ever heard. This was truly amazing.
I'm listening to music over 60 years this is one of the greatest performances ever. Two great singers, all good. George was one of the greatest singers ever. He did an incredible cover with Queen Somebody to Love tribute to Freddy Mercury. Worth checking out! Best success on yr channel.
He wasn't a "sir" at the time of this concert. The audience had absolutely no idea Elton was going to be there. I love that they filmed him walking up to the stage in the dark.
So joyful to watch you get the same feeling i did so many decades ago when i first listened to the song... It was like they spoke to a part of my soul awakening something inside me! Pure magic
Yeah this is for sure one of the best duet performances I've ever heard and one of my absolute favourites. The way they go back and forth and compliment one another is incredible. The crowd reactions made it that much better as well. I love listening to this version with Elton John and George Michael together.. I've probably heard it thousands of times and it never gets old, and still gives goosebumps when I hear them together. They were great friends, I wish he was still around, they both have incredible voices. Legends🙏
This is one of the single greatest live performances ever!! When I first heard it many years ago cuz I just turned 40 so when this came out I was a young buck man and I showed every single person that would listen to me this performance president is absolutely amazing 😍
Absolutely agree! It’s an amazing performance from George and Elton. Please take a look at George Michael “somebody to love” at the Freddie mercury tribute concert! ❤️🔥
George had the voice of an angel....best live performer ever....and i miss him..❤️🙏.. you must listen to the song's .. brother can you spare a dime at Pavarotti and Friends... And .. a long and winding road ... that's so amazing....
Been to hundreds of concerts and George Michael was incredible live. I never got to see sir Elton he was never close enough when I was younger and now it would be so expensive not sure I could afford it lol.
What makes the performance even more special is that it was Elton's first public appearance in over a year as he had been in rehab and concentrating on his sobriety. This signaled his return.
Tragic story related to this song. Elton dedicated this song (in Charlotte NC) to Matthew Shepard, after he had been attacked and was hospitalized. You could have heard a pin drop in that arena. Sadly, he passed away 2 days after.
This is an Elton’s song. George Michael had it covered (and in my opinion made it better 🙊). Elton John had only recently come out of rehab and George Michael asked him to join him and sing the song together. Masterpiece!
Oh my God I miss George Michael so much. His beautiful voice. His beautiful face. His beautiful soul. My heart aches that he is no longer with us to share his beautiful talent with everyone. You should really listen to his slow, jazz music. It is so beautiful.
You need to review more George Michael songs. He sang, wrote and produced dozens of his notable songs. Also, he was an AIDS activist and philanthropist to many children’s charities. George’s 1993 Concert of Hope for Princess Diana and the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert were fabulous. His duets with Whitney, Aretha and Mary Jane Blige were amazing, to name a few. WHAM was his and Andrew Ridegely’s introduction to worldwide stardom. George left WHAM and became a megastar with millions of fans worldwide. George will be inducted into the Rock & Rock Hall of Fame in Nov. 2023.
I've watched so many UA-camrs react to this performance and yours has been the BEST so far! Seeing you all chilled and a bit distracted at the beginning and then suddenly change to being 100% invested was so satisfying ;D
Certainly was EPIC!! I met Elton John in 1974 at Liverpool Airport (didn't know he was there!). Just by luck my brother asked him for an autograph which he did, no problem at all! I was 14 yrs old, & my brother, 19 yrs old. So sad I never met the fabulous George Michael, so sad he passed away, he should have been a 'Sir George Michael'!! xx
Great reaction Travis both legends. George Michael was my very first concert in NYC Madison square garden 1988 faith tour he was amazing live never forget you just brought me back to age of 20.;thank you. You have to react to his video one more try
I'm someone who loves originals. Regardless of whether it's movies or music. I'd list some examples, but then people will say mean things and hate me. So, I'll just stick to Elton John's Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me. It was one of my favorites, until I heard this version. It's absolutely, stunningly brilliant!! I listened to the first half of the song with my mouth half open!! I can't stop listening!
Love love your reaction George had a concert for AIDS and surprise audience with Elton that was in rehab for alcohol it was epic. I cry had a brother died of AIDS that year my hear vroken still when I see this show
Elton played this just two days ago as a tribute to his friend Shane Warne whose memorial was held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground- Shane was one of the best cricket players who has ever lived.. he died suddenly at the age of 51. Elton is a legend. PS he was not a Sir at this time.
Now that is how to perform a duet...... Such a great reaction video, thank Travis. If you like these two UK performers, PLEASE PLEASE react to another British performer called Mark Kingswood. The track is called Strong. You'll love it. Thanks in advance :-)
Please React to George Michael and Queen at the Freddie Mercury tribute. He's singing the timeless song Somebody to Love AN AMAZING PERFORMANCE BY A LEGENDARY PERFORMER FOR A LEGENDARY PERFORMER.
Love watching your reaction videos! Keep ‘em coming! Please consider watching & reacting to JOHNNY MANUEL videos. Originally from Flint, Michigan, Johnny now lives in Australia and he competed on The Voice, AU and you’ll love some of his performances on that show. Thank you!
Here is fun clip of his song "Nobody Wins" which was originally such in French. He has recorded several songs in French, most notably with France Gall. This number speaks for itself and is wonderful. ua-cam.com/video/M2eN-McXwo8/v-deo.html
I think Elton John's face is priceless when he watches George sore at the very end. I love Elton's voice but omg, George Michael's voice is absolutely epic. Fantastic duet and fantastic reaction.
George - one of the best male vocalists of all time. Always beyond description.
I feel exactly the same.
Loved your reaction. It was a great moment. When i was a kid, this song went big everywhere and it was totally justified. Thank you.
the BEST duet elton john ever did. just a little side note.. there is NO studio version of this song. this live version is all there is and they couldn't have done it any better imho.
The duet the world needed
George... there will never be another.

Absolutely one of my favorite songs of all time!! Elton and George proved themselves many times over!! WOW!!
He wasn't a "sir" at the time of this concert. The audience had absolutely no idea Elton was going to be there. I love that they filmed him walking up to the stage in the dark.
Ah, George Michael. We will never again see his like. Rest in peace.
Dude, loved your reaction! Thanks for helping me enjoy it like it was tye first time. That's exactly why I watch reactions.
Fun fact, George was 11 years old when Elton and Bernie Taupin wrote this gem.
So joyful to watch you get the same feeling i did so many decades ago when i first listened to the song... It was like they spoke to a part of my soul awakening something inside me! Pure magic

Now that’s a performance that I would have loved to see live, the emotion had to be incredible!!!
Absolutely agree! It’s an amazing performance from George and Elton. Please take a look at George Michael “somebody to love” at the Freddie mercury tribute concert! ❤️🔥

One of the most iconic male duets in music, imo. This is so F'n good! Your reaction was awesome as always; your enthusiasm is EVERYTHING!
One of the best performances ever, always gives me goosebumps

Best reaction on this song(IMHO) Senks men!
Greatness!!!!!!
Chills! Every single time ❤️
The GOAT Sir Elton ❤❤❤❤❤.Thank you for your most awesome reaction ever 🎉❤
Best ever!!! I miss George, what a loss to the world
A great song performed by two legends. This is up there with Queen's Live Aid performance. Epic.
WOW THAT WAS AMAZING!! I have never seen that performance!
To me, this is the definitive version of this song. Both of them did it well separately, but together they absolutely killed it.
2 of my favorite Queens, I can tell you like them too.
Live, George was a legend!!!!!!
So glad you finally reacted this. This is Elton John song. But they come together live. It was so beautiful

What a great song and great artists. I'm hoping to get to see Elton John This summer
I saw him two years ago in Vegas and it was a wonderful concert. Probably my third favorite of all time.
@@geriatricptxer2362 the tickets are just so expensive that's my hold up lol
@@staceysmith8173 So true. There are no cheap concerts any more.
@@geriatricptxer2362 the last I looked a seat was $200. What is crazy is I'm on the fence of buying it lol.
Well this was fantastic.
I get chills every time I hear this song. My favorite song to sing with.

This live performance happened in 1991 and Elton John was knighted in 1998 which is why he was “Mr Elton John”
If you haven't watched it yet you would like George Michael at the Freddie Mercury memorial concert singing 'Somebody to Love'.
George Michael..such a tragic loss..and victim of the celebrity game..long before LGBT had such a loud voice ..😢
Come on man, if you don't recognize this song in the first 10 seconds you've no idea about. It's legendary!
I absolutely love your reaction to this iconic song!! 💛
Love love your reaction George had a concert for AIDS and surprise audience with Elton that was in rehab for alcohol it was epic. I cry had a brother died of AIDS that year my hear vroken still when I see this show
epic... all the 29 years I know this song
This song is the reason I started singing and how I learned
Legendary Duet! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
To me both are icons, no one more than Elton tho!❤️❤️
What many people don't know. Elton John's vocals were subsequently re-recorded/edited in the studio. George's voice is the original live performance.
Hello Travis loving this reaction
Pls react to george michael one more try live. R.IMP. GEORGE. WE MISS U AND THAT BEAUTIFUL VOICE
As mentioned before, Elton was not a Sir yet when this performance took place. ( I was young then. Lol)
Try George Michael feat. Aretha Franklin “Knew You Were Waiting”
Now that is how to perform a duet...... Such a great reaction video, thank Travis.
If you like these two UK performers, PLEASE PLEASE react to another British performer called Mark Kingswood. The track is called Strong. You'll love it.

I read where Elton didn’t really want to do this with him because he didn’t feel he was good enough to sing this with George!!!!
