This live versión of the Killer/Papa was a Rolling Stone...is spectacular...and the whole MTV Unplugged event was from another world....his voice...wow
I remember seeing George on his Faith tour at the Tacoma Dome in '88. I can still remember the stage layout. Such a dynamic artist and singer. Hard to forget. At least we have UA-cam!
Me too. He only came to my city only once and tickets were sold out in 3 seconds. That was back in the day when you had to line up at the box office and people had to camp out for days. I had school and had to to work right after back then.
This was for the Princess Trust concert back in 93. The late David Bowie was the presenter of the concert. They both met Princess Diana backstage either before or after the concert. There is a video of it on UA-cam.
I was lucky and privileged to see George 2x in concert. Like all the best voices, he was better live than on his albums. And he was phenomenal on his albums. His energy was great, but his singing was incredible. When you write, produce and/or sing your own stuff, you can easily switch things up in a concert-because the knowledge of how to do it is all in one brain. He was so musically gifted. God, I miss him so much. He is my favourite artist, ever. RIP George
The tone of his voice was unique, as we say in France "he could sing the phone book, the people would love it". Part of my DNA without ever need to buy one George's CD.
Ben tu sais quoi, ma mère m'avait acheté l'album Older à l'époque, et c'est un des meilleurs cd que j'ai. Il est en entier en bonne qualité sur youtube, je te le conseille
George was singing at the 1993 Concert for Hope, which was an HIV/AIDS benefit hosted by Princess Diana in the U.K. He had just lost his Brazilian partner to AIDS. George was just such an amazing talent and yes gorgeous!
Hello is the best male artist ever in my books he's epic awesome amazing guy still today I miss him totally 🎉🎉🎉 George Michael 😭😭😭 wow wow wow 🎉🎉🎉luv him omg omg omg I'm so lucky to see him play live 3 times he always gets the crowd going 🎉🎉🎉 fantastic brilliant awesome 👍👍👍
George was simply the best !! His voice , his charisma , his energy , and fuck , what a talented Artist !!!! We feel his soul when he sings and it goes straight to my heart !! Miss you George !😞
The mtv unplugged will make you go bananas. Some songs of that concert: everything she wants, I can’t make you love me, star people, freedom 90, among other jewels.
George, my idol. He was incredible, as a singer/songwriter and as a person (and a good dancer too!) I adore him and miss him. The most beautiful purest voice ever. I remember going to see him with Wham in concert in 1983 in Cornwall, England. Amazing fond memories. :)
OMG what a great selection for a reaction. By the way this entire concert is fabulous. This is called the Concert for Hope. Charity concert that princess Diana put together with all the proceeds going to AIDS research. George was a phenomenal singer and performer. I saw him live a few times. One was not that long before he passed away. His voice and his presence on stage was like nobody else’s. I’m so lucky I saw him. By far the best concerts I have ever attended.
The greatest voice of all time.. I have been in love since I was 11 and everytime I see him to this day my heart skips a beat.. And I feel privileged that I got to see him live.. There will never be another George.. How is not yet in the Rock In Roll Hall of Fame yet? He is perfection.. My heart will always be broken that he is not with us.. But boy is God getting an amazing show in heaven
yes he is one of the 80s and 90`s great jewel among others. He is my favourite, he can was my sorrow in the sec i hear 1st vocal, he bring so much joy , even now.
The genius of mixing Adamski/Seal’s Killer and Papa Was a Rollin Stone n made them his own. Truly an amazing feat from an amazing artiste. Truly missed the 80s/90s music! 🙁
So 90's? Great guess, Killer was originally hit for Adamski with Seal on vocals. Seal then re-did it with Trevor Horn for his debut album. George Michael did a great job with it, including the mashup up with Papa Was A Rolling Stone...
George recorded this live mashup on his "cover to cover" tour. He had a lawsuit against Sony records ( thommy Motolla), who disowned George's Songs he was not allowed to perform his own hits. So he started a tour with cover versions
I remember this in concert. He was magical. This wasn't a single he released, this was a cover of two songs melded together that he did just for his concert. He also did Chaka Khan's "Ain't Nobody" in the same concert I went to. Unbelievable voice and extremely soulful. Yeah the audio was bad here.
@@rolybling An EP is not a single though. The single from that EP was George Michael And Queen singing Somebody To Love, which went to #1. The other four songs on the EP were Killer/Papa Was A Rollin' Stone, These Are The Days Of Our Lives by George Michael And Queen With Lisa Stansfield and Calling You by just George.
I was at Madison Sq Garden for the Cover To Cover tour, and when he did Chaka, the whole place went bananas. He also did Fame/Bowie, which was pretty epic.
George always incldued covers in his concerts. In the Faith Tour he included "Calling You" from the Bagdag Cafe OST, and later he made "Back to Life" from Soul II Soul, etc. In this benefit concert he brought this medley of Adamski+Seal "Killer" and Temptations "Papa was a Rolling Stone". The first one provides the electronic base during all the song (that's why you can't hear analog drums). By the way, to that Concert Lady Di was attending as a personal friend of George and the introduction was done by David Bowie. And the first track, "Father Figure" was executed incredibly. What a gem!
He once was in Amsterdam in a club where I was that evening. It was during his "Faith" persona, with leather jacket and cross earring. He came in with some bodyguards and I was standing near the entrance. Someone I knew pushed me a little so I brushed his jacket. The guy that pushed me said: "so, now you can say that you touched George Michael".. which I'm now stating here :- )
George is my idol and I have seen him many times; this is the best solo gig I was at and I was 22 at the time. I traveled from Glasgow to London with my best pal at the time. The ghost is George, believe me, cos I have seen him, and he always had a full head of hair alive or on to the next life/gig!!
"Racism in among future kings can only lead to no good. And besides, all of our sons and daughters already know how that feels." That's what he sings at the end. They are the ending lyrics to Seal's Killer which is the song he starts with...then he blends in Papa Was A Rolling Stone by The Temptations...and ends with the Killer lyrics. He was a musical genius and yes, untouchable!!
I was lucky enough to see George twice including the last tour before he died. His concerts could be pop and classical he was a great singers and song writer. His backing singers were unbelievable with no difference live or recorded. The world lost a beautiful man when he died, his years of activism for musicians rights, LGBT + issues., also the charity he gave to others was sometimes overlooked.
1. Your smile is beautiful ❤. 2. I visited George’s grave and told him I loved him so much. I never got to see him live. 3. My favorite song by him is called If You Were My Woman. Amazing!
there was a time (a decade) that George Michael was bigger than Michael Jackson, Madonna (really) only with a better voice and without all the gimmicks
George would have been humbled to see how his music made you so damn happy. It's something that made him such an exceptional musician and singer. One of the best. *by the way, Papa Was a Rollin' Stone was late SIXTIES. It was what this whole arrangement was based. You asked the question, "I love seeing him on stage! WHY?" --why? my friend, the why is the reason he, as so many other amazing singers have as well, MUST do what they do, because they can't .... they just can't keep that type of joy inside. I'm a professional singer, I'm 59 yrs old. And there's a 'thing' inside some of us... that when people like you FEEL what we're trying to tell you, in your soul.... well, there is NOTHING on this entire planet that is better! Glad you did this reaction and got to experience such a great performance.
George really had it all, the voice, looks, moves, he was the ultimate entertainer.
This live versión of the Killer/Papa was a Rolling Stone...is spectacular...and the whole MTV Unplugged event was from another world....his voice...wow
If you watch and listen to this performance and you dont get up and dance, youre dead inside.
This performance is EPIC on so many levels. Goosebumps, my friends. Perfection.
Lucky guy you are that George came to dances with you 🤗🤗🤗
Gosh, I just love George Michael so much. He is towards the top of the list of musicians that I'll always regret not being able to see live.
I agree totally with and I feel the same, he was just awesome, so much talent.
My love forever...george❤...george❤...
Believe he was beautiful inside and out. After he died we learned that he donated (in silence) so much for so many causes.
Possibly the nicest suit I've ever seen 🔥
One of the best performances. Love George Michael and HIS amazing VOICE. What a musical genius❤❤❤RIP George ❤❤❤....
This was for the Princess Trust concert back in 93. The late David Bowie was the presenter of the concert. They both met Princess Diana backstage either before or after the concert. There is a video of it on UA-cam.
He was such a great vocalist. And yes, he was really handsome.
It was probably George just popping in to join the party 😆
It was crazy! 🤣🤣🤣
Awesome I saw him live 3 times
He was so amazing, his voice was one of a kind, and such a sweet humble man. Only the good die young
Amazing! He is gorgeous and that voice is like CRYSTAL. PURE CRYSTAL!
I was lucky and privileged to see George 2x in concert. Like all the best voices, he was better live than on his albums. And he was phenomenal on his albums. I am so glad you got to see him live. Now in RRHOF. I miss him too…❤😢
The tone of his voice was unique, as we say in France "he could sing the phone book, the people would love it". Part of my DNA without ever need to buy one George's CD.
Ben tu sais quoi, ma mère m'avait acheté l'album Older à l'époque, et c'est un des meilleurs cd que j'ai. Il est en entier en bonne qualité sur youtube, je te le conseille
I hate that he's gone. He had so much more to give. 😢❤
George is the greatest vocalist ....any kind of music sounds amazing coming out the brothers lungs
I'm a big George Michael fan and he is a fantastic live vocalist, but there are many fantastic live vocalist, Luther, Marvin, Teddy, Freddy, Stevie 🤔
George was singing at the 1993 Concert for Hope, which was an HIV/AIDS benefit hosted by Princess Diana in the U.K. He had just lost his Brazilian partner to AIDS. George was just such an amazing talent and yes gorgeous!
Oh my, he was just beautiful inside and out. The benefit was great. ❤❤❤
The background was also excellent! G Michaels had so much talent, one heck of a show man.

Gorgeous George and his beautiful voice😍
The mtv unplugged will make you go bananas. Some songs of that concert: everything she wants, I can’t make you love me, star people, freedom 90, among other jewels.
That live version of "Star People" is EVERYTHING.
George, my idol. He was incredible, as a singer/songwriter and as a person (and a good dancer too!) I adore him and miss him. The most beautiful purest voice ever. I remember going to see him with Wham in concert in 1983 in Cornwall, England. Amazing fond memories. :)

George has a voice of an angel. All his songs are fantastic
Every cover that George did, he made it his own. 🥰
Gosh a so beautyfull song so many records of my 20 + years
I highly recommend the following video: "George Michael - Careless Whisper - Live from Earls Court 2008".
The VOICE
OMG what a great selection for a reaction. By the way this entire concert is fabulous. This is called the Concert for Hope. It was the cover of a mashup of Killer, from Seal and Papa was a rolling stone, from the Temptations. Sadly the video was never released.

That door was George’s spirit coming to say HAYYYYYY GIRRRLLLL!
One of the best male singers ever on this planet.
Fantastic artist- amazing song 😍
The genius of mixing Adamski/Seal’s Killer and Papa Was a Rollin Stone n made them his own. Truly an amazing feat from an amazing artiste.
Truly missed the 80s/90s music! 🙁
All other perfomances he did in this concet deserve a reaction, they are all fire! 🥰
Which concert is it?
i just love this song
I was blessed to see GM live. He was absolutely amazing. My Mum (in her 70’s) was dancing with my husband and I all the way thru. Loved him.
So 90's? Great guess, Killer was originally hit for Adamski with Seal on vocals. Seal then re-did it with Trevor Horn for his debut album. George Michael did a great job with it, including the mashup up with Papa Was A Rolling Stone...

It actually was released as a single but did not do very well.
It reached #56 on the UK Dance Chart and #69 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
@@seanscanlon9067 Mmmm.
It was released on an EP called Five Live and it was number 1 in the UK for several weeks.

I love this song very much, George is perfect here, thanks for the cool reaction, you're very funny also, let's see who opened the door, lol
I was lucky enough to see George at Madison Square Garden in 2008. Miss him. 🙏🏼
His generation had the best artists. George and Freddy are vocal gods. Sad what they had to go through, and sad they are not with us anymore.

my favorite Georges Michael song is "one more try" 😊

FINALLY…someone reacted to this!!! 💜💜
Wait have you reacted to Adamski feat. Seal "Killer" ? I can't remember ?
Yaaaay more George Please ❤️
His backing singers were with him for thirty years ❤

One of my favorites. On your own time, you should check out the official video. It’s an experience.
You should watch him do 'Freedom' from the same concert. It'll blow your socks off! :)
