I hail from Chicago and appreciate the hospitality of the South. My sister relocated there with her boyfriend, who committed a robbery and got arrested after a few weeks. She found herself stranded, but a family took her and my niece in for several days and helped her purchase a bus ticket back to Chicago. She mentioned that they all had gold teeth and were incredibly kind.
The south different....everybody been through alot and ain't no money down south so you only get judged on your character and your morals .... especially if you are a civilian...no matter your race btw...but if you white and get all scary or act uncomfortable you gonna have a hard time cus that's showing you nervous just based on skin color which equals disrespect. This coming from a white male that lived in the 3rd ward of Houston all through middle and high school.....I absolutely loved it and made me the man I am today
@@lil8up607there’s a lot of money down here in the South. Old family’s with money, a lot of it. Don’t believe that hype. Look at the colleges and universities whose families donate. Just because they aren’t flashy doesn’t mean there little or no money.
I live in Monroe and I honestly didn't know that our city was #1 in murder rate. What's crazy is I've been working for the Monroe Housing Authority for 13 years and never knew this was going on. I didn't like the ending about Louisiana being a racist state. I'm a broke white man and I love all my community the same. I go out my way to do the best I can for anyone that needs my help. racism is the only excuse they have not to confront the real issue, which is black culture itself. race hustling is a high paying industry, funded by dead black men and single mothers.
It's not all about income. I truly hate to say it but it's just reality. There's a cultural issue. I lived in the wealthiest majority black county in the entire country, PG county Maryland, and there was tons of violent crime. And as a teen I was a part of it, and I'm white, I'm not talking down on anyone it's just reality. I'd say actually more than skin color or income, the biggest factor is not having a dad at home. ALL of my friends and myself, who got into selling drugs and worse, it was a VERY small fraction who had a father at home. And if they did, he was a POS. But even the ones with a present POS father did better than the ones with none, generally. I had friends living in 600k homes in the suburbs who are in prison for taking a life. But they didn't have a single male role model in that house. In fact, most of the people I knew who did the worst things weren't from the projects, they grew up in nice houses, with a single mom.
@@HaltDieKlappa You had infinite money and just sold drugs for fun? And the families are super affluent and the dads just decided to all peace out and never to be seen again and leave all of the riches behind? Was that at the same time? Any incidents that sparked this unforeseen exodus? This is some Children of the Corn level shit.
@LootFragg I didn't say I had money. I grew up sharing a basement apartment with my mother/living with my grandmother when my mom couldn't afford it anymore. Though thats no excuse for anything I chose to do. And yes, I knew plenty of middle class and even wealthy kids who sold drugs, did drugs, and even ones who are now in prison for everything up to m******. And yes, there are plenty of single mothers with decent homes. Those houses were like 150-200k when they bought them in 2000, by 2010-2015 they're worth 500k. And it's often, like in my case, multiple families in the house to afford it. And in some cases it was just kids that were actually middle class or even wealthy playing gangster and ruining their lives. Is this all news to you? You think every person who ever committed a crime grew up in the projects? lol. Idk why I even need to explain this
I'm from Baton Rouge. This is sad. Most of it boils down to these people not wanting to be human enough to let things go and live life. Combine that with a victim's mentality, bloodlust fulfilled through revenge, and a culture pushed on them via drugs and "music" to amplify these things.... it won't ever stop.
Why did this half-brained take get so many likes. Misses the basics of no fucking money/prospects/lack of education/no secure family from infancy on. That comment is about as dumb as the knee-jerk/smooth-brain approaches dealing with it - which of course never and will never get anywhere.

I live in Baton Rouge. A lot of this is concentrated in very poor areas of the city. They make you think the entire city is a warzone. Its not but what's wild is like you can have a completely normal neighborhood, and the next street over is ghetto as hell. Poverty, a failing education system, and parents failing their kids partially as a result of our country and state failing our citizens brought us here.
heavily the parents, schooling system I'm sure sucks. But lack of parenting and guidance is probably the biggest issue, families pumping out kids with no consistent parent or sober parent in sight. Not a good look and this will never stop.
If the murder/non-negligent manslaughter rate was 14.5 per 100k in 2023, Louisiana has actually been the most most murderous state in the whole of America over the last 35 years in a row and counting.
As someone from Louisiana, major city near BR and NOLA, it's still relatively safe when you mind your own. Can't say the same about Chiraq, Detroit, and even parts of Texas. He comes across as very naturally intelligent, not educated, obviously, but highly intelligent. When he said "Do Time Stop?" when asked if the violence will ever end, you could see his wheels turning. He thinks deeply about things but, unfortunately, his life experiences are limited to the streets and death, so he can't reason outside those parameters. The homicide RATE though - vastly different. London has a homicide rate of approx 1.31 per 100,000 people. The Baton Rouge murder rate is 51.8 per 100k people; 40x higher than London. Insane.

They have other people living in that same neighborhood who don't come outside or deal with their neighbors because they have nothing to live for! So no Louisiana doesn't have a dark cloud over it! They choose to be uneducated with a death wish! He could've eaten lunch at school everyday, and survived. Got an education and changed his life. He wants to steal kill and sell drugs! That's on them, because they don't want shit! Not Baton Rouge or Louisiana, that's they problem if that's how they want to live! Don't put that shit on the state.

I've lived in the Baton Rouge area my whole life. There is a lot of factors involved in why things have gotten so bad. A big part is the rampant corruption on state and local levels.
It’s any small/mid/large city. Ask ANY of these types anywhere in the States if they had a father growing up. Promise you 98% of them did not. So now you have mothers (most bad some good) leaving their sons to the streets and fend. It’s a never ending cycle. “Education” (public schools) can’t raise kids it doesn’t work that way so people necessarily shouldn’t put blame on them…
@@codeman9145 There are no positive male role models in sight-uncles, brothers, grandfathers, or cousins fail to step in, or worse, they encourage this kind of lifestyle to young boys. The influence often comes from negative male figures. Any mother with even a shred of awareness takes her child away from such an environment to prevent their exposure to these harmful influences. Adding to the issue, poverty forces most parents to work overtime, leaving their sons vulnerable to the sway of other boys or men who draw them into the same destructive cycle.

I live across the bridge from Baton Rouge. Born in br and raised on the bayou front in south east Louisiana. One area can be extremely wealthy and gated and five minutes away can be poor and run down. LSU is even considered to be in the “ghetto” as some would say. No matter where you go, you see the results of poor education, poor health (physical and mental), declining working population and many other things. They envy this lifestyle by starting young and looking up to their elders and overall rap culture. They are literally being told to act like this, they never stood a chance yet are shown a better way to live daily but still choose to live like this like they are trapped hopelessly. If you're facing death, literally leave, get a bucket and a sponge, go to the country club, wash cars and change your life. Young kids like this start lucrative businesses like this daily. I wish I could do more, but I only do what I can contribute to. I want you guys to know, you do matter and I wish you all the best in life. I hope all you guys blow up and get deals to support everyone around you.
Skin color is secondary to income, isn't it. Same paycheck, same blood.
racism is the only excuse they have not to confront the real issue, which is black culture itself. race hustling is a high paying industry, funded by dead black men and single mothers.

The fact these young men have been tricked into believing this deathstyle is okay to be living, instead of trying to better their lives is sad. And the fact that women find "men" like this attractive is just as sad.
Alot do but some don't to be honest. You can tell the ones who like the shit and you can tell who hate it but really live it. Just because alot of em smile and laugh while having guns don't mean nothing. That be the ones to run with the gun. Some of these dudes literally have nobody. No mom dad friends dad or mom friends dying you beefing with niggas walking distance from your home who is about killing so what's your option if you can't move?
@@nobodyismynamethere’s always options. Some have slim options but it about what they prioritize.. the lifestyle . Or changing so the next generation can do better
They cloned Tyrone
@@nobodyismyname You always have the option to move. All it takes is a few dollars to catch a train. If you gotta be homeless for a little while until you get on your feet, so be it. Anything is better than this absurd mindset. And just think...most of these young bulls had clean records until they lost someone and FELT they need to get some "get back" as if its going to solve anything.

@@jazztheglass6139 white boi da FEDS BRO 🤞🏽. He locked everything he recorded around my way in New Orleans
Adding to the issue, poverty forces most parents to work overtime, leaving their sons vulnerable to the sway of other boys or men who draw them into the same destructive cycle.
you're part of why your area is what it is. take responsibility for yourselves. government is corrupt everywhere, but here's the thing, the people are the government. it starts at the individual level.
blame the culture. you dont see other ethnic groups act like this.
@@HughWanztino Any person with an ounce of sense and money LEAVES this area. Thats the thing you guys aren’t taking into consideration. The only ones left are people okay with this lifestyle.
Dang bro you have been pumpin these high quality docs out like crazy. Being all around this negativity must take a toll on the mind. Hopefully you soon get a good break and vacation bruh. Anyones, ima enjoy watchin this one.
Man I feel that, but let us be sure to pray for the brothers (and all the brothers like them) who are featured in these docs - ain't no vacations for them. May God and the Lord Yeshua shine his glorious light upon their heads and hearts. Amen. Selah.
@ Amen. You can see it deep in their eyes the hurt.
This ain’t no documentary he just profiting off our demise
We really need a vacation vlog from him.❤
@@millionairesburner24i think that when these kids see that someone cares for them (just that they exist) and gives them the chance to voice their opinion, it’s a good thing. If he profits or not, he was there, acknowledging them and listened. If we all listened more the world would be much better.
I moved from near New Orleans to right outside Baton Rouge in 1988. Being used to hearing about a murder or two a day from New Orleans, I was amazed that Baton Rouge wasn't the same. It rose slowly over the years, but just exploded in recent years, especially with young offenders. This was an excellent video, so good in fact, that I can sympathize with them. That life is all they know, and it's hard I imagine when that's the case

Being able to understand different dialects is a sign of higher intelligence. So I guess that says a lot about you, or at the minimum how boxed in you've lived your life.
@@charlesdonawayiii3396 🤣Man please. I have a 145 IQ and I can't understand half of what they're saying. And I grew up in the worst part of OKC and went to Northeast High School which was 90% black.
These aren't "different dialects," these are lower life forms attempting (and failing) to communicate to civilized humans. My nephew has a larger vocabulary than these creatures, and he's six. Stop making excuses for this crap, it's embarrassing.

nah they know it will never end, they dont like it, but it goes back to the dude who said death is the only thing thats promised. they have a completely nihilistic view towards life bc of the conditions they were brought up in. like the guy said, death is better than the life theyre living in these areas.
I grew up right next to New Orleans and this life is glamorized by the rap music and the lack of responsible fathers in the house hold. I live 20 minutes from New Orleans and it’s a totally different world when it comes to crime and especially gun violence. No one gets robbed or shot at. It’s the culture and lack of respect for human life that causes this behavior.

A never ending cycle of pain passed on to generations
Great Production. Very Powerful.
A lot of parents down here either whip kids (like my momma did 😂) or they let the streets do it for them or the school system kicks them to the curb. We are in the last five for education, cost of living, medicine and health. we are one of the most impoverished and violent states. We have a very rich and diverse culture of Cajun and creole and Haitian and French but tourist are scared away from the crime. Businesses open up just to close down due to robberies and crime and no one has money to do anything but survive. Many people down here do not have heating or cooling, cars or even a phone or computer. No one that hasn’t witnessed or lived through THIS will never understand. Louisiana is truly one of a kind , however you want to take that statement. These young men need HELP.
West African and partly came up in nyc. As a man moved south to LA then TX. The south different. Dangerous yeh but the warmth of the folk, the hospitality and famly vibe are all there and real. Could never see myself back east.
My dawg peso finally did uh interview 😂🔥🔥

We ain't the only one smacking shit he said some real ish

I work in baton rouge for decades now and it's not just people like this you have to worry about, almost everyone is constantly looking for someone to disrespect them and to shoot, stab or bash your brains in just to show you how they think they deserve your respect though 80% of the time it's just a misunderstanding..... Be sure to bring your manners and leave the mumbling speech behind.
