    Today I added a solar street light to my back yard from the company Deepn. This is a super bright light and very easy to install.

    Bought two of these for my church more than a year ago. One is still good. The other fell down during a storm...the solar panel was shattered.
    One is attached to an old flag pole about 12-15' up and the one that fell was attached to a metal building.
    So much easier than running electrical and they did/do a fantastic job of illuminating the parking lot.

    For those that are worried about neighbors you can set most of these to motion detection then lights. I live in the country and set mine to motion detection. That way it stays charged even through cloudy rainy weather. I got mine to light up my yard so even if the power goes out i have a lit yard to get to my storm cellar. Amazingly the solar panels have survived the hail storms even.

    Hello Sir, I bought this exact same light and I’m trying to mount mine to wood also. How do I get those bolts in the wood? Do I pre drill? I didn’t see you pre drill. I’m a mom and I have no clue what I’m doing. I’ve never done anything like this before. What is the part on your drill that is screwing the bolt in? Any help you can give me would really help. Thank you so much for this video.

    • @Fentertainment
      @Fentertainment  Рік тому +10

      I didnt mention it in the video but I used lag bolts to attach the light to the post. You can take the smaller bracket with you to the hardware store to get lag bolts that will fit the holes on the lights. Basically a lag bolt is a big screw. I also predrilled the holes where the lag bolts would go and I used 1 washer between the bolt head and the wooden post.

    2 questions:
    1- After one year, is it still working (Something you don't expect from Chinese products) and what are your opinions of it in the long run (Are batteries holding as new and charging ever goes zero or not holding right?)
    2- Are you legally allowed to use a neighbor's fence for your own use? And did you get their permission (Courtesy) to put the light next to their windows?
    Thanks

    • @TigerBiteMods
      @TigerBiteMods 8 днів тому

      They aren't made to be on at full brightness for a long period of time. Just intermitten spurts when motion is detected, that said don't put it in range of a tree or plants that easily move in a slight breeze or the light will be triggered constantly.
      I got the smaller 80$ version that's pretty much 1 side of the dual light panels he has and it lasts about 3 hours on a full charge if I just leave it on full light the whole time.
      The light must be set to ON for it to use the solar panels, only found this out a few days after I bought it thinking I could turn off the panel early at 6am and let it charge back to full for the night... it was at 40% when I t turned it off at 6am, then turned it back on at 7pm and it was still 40% 😂😂😂😂 So like any other guy, it was only then that i decided to read the manual 🎉
      All in all. It's a cheap made in China light, oh it won't charge in cloudy weather though unlike my house panels, so I'm guessing the Light's solar panels are a pretty cheap type.

      I was wondering how much!
      My daughters live with their mother on 5 acres of pitch dark land! Large wooded area next door! You can hear wild dogs & see deer all the time! Few weeks ago raccoons were around & up the pecan tree next to the house! Ex-wife was in a full scale panic!🤦🏽‍♂️😑
      I discovered one main light was blowed! Plus 2 solar security lights wires were chewed too! Something is poking wholes in the ground near the vehicles! (Possible Armadillo)! Ikr what’s next! I finally got one solar working again! New batteries & reconnected panel correctly!
      The things we do for our kids & ex’s🤪🙏🏽👋🏻
