How to connect the electric cord to your GE dryer It's pretty simple unscrew the plate. That exposes where you have to attach the wires just make sure you put the ground or the middle connecter to the ground attachment in the middle the other two go to the outside. - Навчання та стиль
I am a 62-year-old woman and I got a new dryer and didn’t want to pay somebody to install it for me. So I found this video and your clear instructions and guidance, which were very easy to follow, made it possible!! I did it! Thank you!!
Great to hear do it yourself save money good luck with your new dryer and thank you for watching
Thank you. The instructions that came with the dryer made this simple process seem far more complicated than it needed to be. Your video was a great confirmation for me that it was that easy.
You are welcome!
Was thinking it was this easy, but I really appreciate you taking the time to make this to confirm for me.
Your welcome 🙏 merry Christmas 🎁
Thank you for this video!!!, I legit laughed out loud in the beginning when you explained not having it plugged in when you start. Thanks again !!
Yeah, you don’t wanna electrocute yourself
Thank you so much. 🙏🙏
You're most welcome
this video helped me because i layed the plug how yours was laying and then lines the wires up how you had yours top middle bottom , thanks its working great
Excellent!
You're a lifesaver. Thank you!
Glad it helped!
You may need a new heating element. I have a bunch of videos on how to install it. It’s not easy, but it can be done.
How would you install the strain relief on this dryer? I have the same dryer. Mine is not plugged into the power socket yet because the guy that installed the power cord didnt put the strain relief on. I didn't realize it until long after he left. I am too scared to use the dryer without the strain relief. Somebody please help!!!
Did this come with the grounding strap as default?
Mine looks exactly like that! but after plugging it it shocks you. The old dryer didn’t shock??
Sounds like you may need an electrician safest way to go. Good luck thanks for watching.
I cant find a video to help me. I'm losing hope. wall is four prung ands i found the cord that is four prong. but when io open the cover to the dryer i only see three wires. This is confusing me and i do not see any videos that helps me understand how to hook my dryers
I’m going to have to do a little research on this one to figure it out
Does the ground strap go between the middle cord wire and the dryer neutral?
Thank you for showing this I have the exact same set up I am changing the four prong out for a three prong but I don’t have the gold metal grounding link. Lowe’s and Home Depot looked at me crazy when I asked them did they sell it. Where would I find that piece?
Glade I could help
Having same problem.
Was the question answered?
Thank you. Do you have to use the. 3/4 recognized strain relif?
I was wondering the same thing, cus the back of my unit looks similar.. an i cant get mine to fit in the socket perfectly. Im thinking about leaving it out especially after noticing he didn't add his on.
You should. I’m surprised they left it off
Hi, I have the same dryer and I finally found a ground strap online but when I went to put it on it’s too short. Does it have to be screwed in with the green screw?
You have to tie that ground in that’s that green screw that’s the ground that’s important if you’re not sure getting electrician
Thank you!!
You are welcome enjoy your new dryer
Thank you!!!
You’re welcome. Good luck with your new dryer. Thanks for watching.
Nice just got this exact same dryer. But missing the green ground screw link. Believe its needed no?
Yes you must ground your dryer you don’t want to get electrocuted
Thanks! Had it delivered just now!
idkwt2use did you find the correct part? I bought one but it is too short
@@bernahiguera715 I did. Called the store and had them order me one
Thank you!
You're welcome!
My machine won't turn on after I replaced the cord but it did spark for a sec when I plugged it did I shorted the machine?
you may want to call an electrician
Superb
Thanks 🤗
Why is the small golden thing necessary? Or is it necessary for the dryer to work? (The one with the Green screw in it)
That’s a ground you definitely have to have that you might want to get an electrician
its a grounding strap on the power terminal block
What about the strain relief?
Good tip
Yeah wondering the same thing
Yes, I didn’t get one
Anyone know the name of the plug?
