    Hi Michelle, I'm a fan of WBM patterns, and I'm imagining the Cocoon pants for summer in a tumbled cotton or lightweight canvas and pale color. I signed up for the year of Closet Core Crew patterns; they have been planned to be a year of pieces that all work together, and I've always found their patterns to be very wearable for me. The first two months' patterns have been sent to the printers 😉Thanks for the roundup!

      Thanks for the feedback on WBM and Closet Core! I love Closet Core - some of my favorite makes are from them. I haven't made anything from WBM yet - but maybe soon!

    your blouse is so pretty Michelle! Gorgeous colors on you. I have soooo many patterns yet still curious about new indie patterns. I belong to the Cashmerette Club so will try the Sloper at some point but probably not the others. Love the Closet oore jacket but have the Bomber jacket from Cashmerette and the Canton Moto jacket. Cutting out the Friday Pattern company Heather Blazer next since I love their tutorial videos to get my feet wet. Will be my first button hole. xx Karen. Will probably watch your other Indie pattern video. addicted to patterns and sewing now 🤣

      I have the Heather Blazer on my to do list - should be coming up soon! Button holes aren't as scary as they sound...just be sure to practice on a scrap piece of your fabric with the same number of layers first! Thanks so much for watching 😊

    I really like patternscout patterns, I'm size 14D bust 16 bellow in her sizing. She has amazing instructions, often even sewalongs. I've made 3 of her patterns and have others waiting on my desk. I'd really recommend her

      @MichelleSewsAgain I did the Fern top, Brigit tee and Romy wrap dress and will be making the Byrdie button up and a blouse I forgot the name of (ups 😄 ). I only had to make minimal adjustments in terms of my apex so moving darts etc. I really like that she has separate pieces for c or d cup size. I'm a D so it is amazing to not have to do FBAs on everything. And the possibility of printing just few sizes and grading easily between them is also great

    Thanks for the views of your house. It's really lovely. I like that Painter's Jacket by Wardrobe by Me. I like layers - and I think if it was made out of a very light fabric it would be good for Florida summers going into our always airconditioned stores - paired with a tank or tee underneath. The freezer aisles in Publix can be torture! The Flow Dress is lovely but I wonder about bra-friendliness. At home I wouldn't care (well - I might, LOL) but I definitely would want one on if I went anywhere. The Sylvan Jacket pockets make the jacket go from "eh" to very cool... I like to see innovation - so much is not, lately.

    • @MichelleSewsAgain
      @MichelleSewsAgain  Рік тому +1

      Thanks for the kind comments about my house - I'm feeling pretty settled in finally! The Painter's Jacket is nice - I have a couple of patterns already that are very similar but it's a super wearable, every day type layering piece. Love the pockets on the Sylvan!

    Thanks so much, Michelle, for all the work you put into this video! You included some -new to me - companies, but none of them interested me enough to look further. I see that the trend of oversized, simple dresses continues. Unfortunately, I find this trend less than flattering on most women and feel it's an easy pattern to draft and just get out in the market. I do like the 5'3" drafted coat and will look more closely at that and the Tessuti dress.

    • @MichelleSewsAgain
      @MichelleSewsAgain  Рік тому

      I agree that the simple dress is available EVERYWHERE. I prefer that style because it's just so much more comfortable. But you don't really need that same pattern from every designer 🤣 Thanks so much for watching! 😊

    I haven't made the cargo skirt, but I did make a Juliana Martejevs dress, her Rory dress. I loved that I had the option to pay a nominally higher amount and get a pattern customized to my unique measurements. I think she offers that for a bunch of her patterns if you purchase it directly on her site.
    I absolutely love that dress. I made it in a forest green linen viscous blend and wore it at least twice a week for the entire summer. I get so many complements when I'm wearing it.

    I tested the Itch to Stitch Majorelle and the Rivet Henley shirt. There are a lot of sleeve
    , neckline and length options on both the top and dress - that's why they are separated. Can be just a great close fitting Tee. I am also a member of the Cashmerette Club. I haven't checked out this month's pattern yet. Thanks for all your research. There are some new to me companies.

    Wow - so many « new to me » pattern companies - thank you! I’m definitely not an early adopter because I like to do a ton of research on IG before I purchase a pattern, but I’m definitely going to make the Wyman Sloper Dress by Cashmerette and take their fitting class that comes free to All Access Club members. I’m super excited about making a sloper that fits me perfectly and then using it to make adjustments to the patterns I buy. 💞

      Hi Carmen! I've not sewn anything with shirring before but I expect that the pattern designer has accounted for the shrinkage in their size chart - so you should use the size that goes with your current measurements. Thanks for stopping by!
