I've been listening to and playing (played, not so much anymore due to a disability) fingerstyle guitar for more than 20 years and is my favorite kind of music (hence my tagname). This is the most beautiful piece I've heard in awhile. So glad to see you keeping it pure and not doing what all the other newbies are doing by trying to fit in as many notes, slaps, doubles etc. etc. as you can in 1 bar. You have earned a new fan. Pat Metheny plays at least two Morricone compositions on Beyond the Missouri Skies. ...Cinema Paradiso... great movie. Speaking of Giuseppe Tornatore movies, The Legend of 1900 is also well worth every second of viewing. I have two little daughters. One, age 6, is super musical and a natural like you. She is going to LOVE watching and hearing you play tonight at bedtime. The other, age 8, is already being pulled into beauty as identity and has, so far, quit everything she has tried. Seeing you play tonight on UA-cam, both this piece and your recent duet, might inspire her and expand her understanding of what beauty is. Some days I think this world just keeps getting better and better. Thank you.
That was beautiful, Julia. I like the way you are able to extend your left hand to cover the more challenging chords, especially when you do the last harmonic of the chorus all with the right hand. That shows talent and wit. I would like to do more harmonics on my acoustic guitar. I do have a book on harmonics for electric bass, but I am going to try to figure out the guitar on my own.
Well that just brought my blood pressure and heart rate down rather nicely! Even the sound of the water in the background added to the ambiance. Lovely.
