      😮
Nah c'mon lol I know she is extremely pretty, and also a fantastic player (even more impressive how young she was here, her technical ability would be even better now) but anyway, I don't even need to start naming guitarist's because this song is basically classical guitar repertoire 101 so it's been played by many great player's)... Something tells me you listened with your ears.... But also your eyes 😂😂😂
No hate, towards you or to Julia but this is not the greatest rendition ever lol, but it is indeed very good... It is a demanding song, she probably would nail it now, but 9 year's ago she was quite close to the edge of her abilities when this was filmed
sorry for the long rant, but I am also a fellow classical mainly flamenco teacher so I do tend to analyse other people's playing and I only made the joke about listening with your eye's because the first time around this came up in a random auto play mix of classical guitar music so the first time I did just listen by audio only, not seeing the player, and though I was enjoying the song, I was not blown away, then I sat down and rewatched it and did start 'listening with my eyes' a bit and became more biased towards the quality of the rendition myself 😂
But anyway I will leave it with a quick example the arpeggios followed by quick dynamic powerful downstroke around 1 min 11 seconds she makes a glaringly imperfect contact but still hit the single string to keep it going... I mean I feel like an ass for pointing thing's out, and it is only my critical 'my student has an upcoming exam ear' that noticed, and I would normally not even comment... But reading that it was called literally "precise" and "cleaner" just sent me into a long rant sorry lol no hate intended, all the best

I would ask the dislikers to please try and limit their opinions to realistic issues. Maybe this was not a technically perfect performance but it was certainly entertaining and showed the hard work that was obviously put into the show. It was posted for free and you got to enjoy a few pleasant minutes. Don’t belittle yourselves by nitpicking on something you almost certainly couldn’t do as well yourself.

Your execution is the best I have ever heard because you give the strumming at the right time. The interpreters I have heard before find it difficult to go from tremolo to rasggada and what they do is leave a space of time between one and the other to facilitate movement, but that breaks the rhythm of the piece despite which they do it. You do not. You give the strumming right at the exact moment and for that I congratulate you.

This young lady Julia Lange has a wonderful smooth touch. As with Ana Vidovic, she plays Albeniz' Asturias that captures anyone's ability to appreciate the classics, very differently. Both equally very pleasing to the ear. Vidovic chooses to be more
'aggressive' which makes us shiver with goosebumps............. however, Julia's own gently touch also gives us music lovers
a physical reaction to her mastery of this piece in her own way.

She did an amazing job! I did find three moments that were slightly off but that is not to knock her Talent. It took Andre Segovia 70 years to master the art of the Spanish classical guitar and he was playing since he was a very young boy. If no one knows who Andre Segovia is they should Google him. He was truly a master of the classical guitar . Now back to this young lady, she performed a beautiful strong set and is well on her way. Amazing job and talent!👏👏👏👏👏

a666n... If people haven't seen or heard Maestro Segovia playing, what are they doing here, making unqualified criticism about this young lady's excellent playing.. I saw Segovia at Newcastle City Hall, when he was 86 yrs old, not long before he passed away, and it was sad to see him forget parts of the most famous pieces, like this one. He smoothly carried on from the beginning, in a very professional manner!.. I did the same thing on stage in a rock and roll group, in the 1960'sthrough pure tiredness, working a full shift underground in a coal mine, then playing all night.. and I was only 19 yrs old! This girl played this with no dropped notes.. so in reality she surpassed Segovia... only by comparison! How about that folks?!!!

Both of your claims are idiotic. An argument is either accurate or it isn't. If you think the name of the person is relevant to the content of the statement, you're an idiot. Secondly, if you think you need to be more skilled at something than another person in order to recognize when they've made an error, you're also an idiot. If I know how Asturias is meant to be played, I don't need to be able to play it myself in order to recognize whether someone else can or can't play it correctly.

All the things that Albañiz wanted to say about Spain you have brilliantly enabled: the beauty, serenity and austere majesty of the Spanish landscape, the preoccupation with pride, honour and nobility of the people, the eternally conflictive and divisive attitudes that still hold back the country. You, with your wonderful technique and sensitivity, at a very tender age, have given us here in Spain a rare and special treat. Muchas gracias bonita!!

No, it isn't. It is acceptable for a young, new player but not anything that should be broadcast to the public.

Nice to see 839 people can obviously play this better. I've 15 different different recordings of this piece, from Segovia, to Ana Vidovec, and this is among my top 3. John Williams may be my favorite guitarist who performed this piece.
But this young lady is superb.

You don't need to play it better in order to recognize there were errors in this interpretation. I don't like it, but well, I won't give it a dislike either
